    Ceramic tape it’s as rare as an honest politician ! Searched and searched absolutely cannot be found !

      The tape is included within the "Stovax - Stove Care Products" pack. I purchased from Amazon recently.

    Wow I never heard of ceramic tape - that is a great idea makes for a much neater, professional looking & probably better functioning seal. I am going to order some ceramic tape right away so I can finish getting my stove ready for the next heating season.

    The tape shown in the video is not often used, even by manufacturers, in the U.S. The door rope will seal without it.
    What is likely to be difficult is cleaning the rope channel. Nothing works as fast and effectively as a wire wheel in an angle grinder - and compressed air is invaluable for blasting of debris from the door. Obviously, proper safety equipment is crucial. If your door cannot be removed I would write a letter to the manufacturer and tell them to specialize in something simpler, like trashcans.

      I worked for my first entire year at Tenneco feeding pipes to 2 robots to get bent. They could've used your wisdom.

    • @imkranlopez5426
      @imkranlopez5426 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol! Just like KUKA should stick to making dump trucks, because their robots suck. But a wire wheel on a drill works too.

    • @thardyryll
      @thardyryll 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@imkranlopez5426 A drill will run a wire wheel for sure, but the ergonomics aren’t great. Also, every wire wheel will eventually start throwing bits of wire, and the guard on a mini grinder will keep you from becoming a human pincushion. I’ve pulled plenty of wire bits out of my clothing even WITH a guard. I admit to being a big fan of mini grinders - I have seven or eight, each fitted with a different attachment: wire wheel, wire cup, cutting disk, etc. Nothing gets as old as having to make do with a single grinder and constant switching. If you showed a chef a pile of knife blades and told him he had to make do with a single handle he would quit on the spot.

    The least of my problems is removing dust and "day-bree". The existing rope is a nightmare and like cemented in. Was hoping for a chemical suggestion to soften or loosen it. Was about to take a big torch to burn it out and realized how pointless that would be!

    • @jnictv1075

      A hammer and a flat screw drivers can easily get it out. That's how I got mine out and it was cemented in
