    Very nice.
FYI for the future when doing the hearth. Make the top of the hearth have long 2x4s instead of side screwing it to the vertical posts. That way it will transfer any potentially heavy load (kids) to the floor and not directly on the screws. Screws can sheer.

Building mine now, gonna go from floor to ceiling. With a hinged hearth top for storage and seating. Good job on yours.

Looks cool! What is the fire code on creating a fireplace surround, so you know you're safe? Thanks!

By measuring it. Getting some 4×4s and cutting it to the size. Use tape for visuals. Easy af. In n out 1 day job

'Hearth' is pronounced like 'heart' but with a th at the end 😊

Did you have to secure the fireplace surround to the wall? I'm trying to build one but am not allowed to drill holes in my apt... I'm scarred of the whole thing falling forward and smashing front glass

It appears you didn't have room to screw in the glass cover after you mounted it and mounted flush to the shiplap.

Excellent video. However, it is pronounced "HARTH," like HEART - NOT NOT NOT "hirth," sounding like "birth." Please.

    1. What purpose does a Hearth server in a electric fireplace design?
    2. Your room seemed to have limited space. The Hearth will take up room as well as unnecessary pushed up your TV way too high.
    3. For those who plan on building this needs to take note when you have limited space, do not destroy the only TV viewing room by placing the so high off the ground.
    4. Most youtubeers including this one have the wrong concept when it come to adding a TV fire place combo. If you want pure ambience skip the TV alltogether. If you like to watch TV, place the TV lower by skipping the mantle as well as Hearth.
