My sister, Marianne, finally got roller skates!! After, I bought my skates, she realized that she also wanted to have her own. So we searched all over the internet, we searched many many stores and brands for roller skates but they were all SOLD OUT. Marianne really wanted to have impalas like mines but there were none left in stock. Somehow, miraculously, my dad stumbled across a store that was selling Candi Girl skates and Marianne immediately bought them. The reason you couldn’t do 360s in the basements and she could is probably because of your wheels. I’ve had both impalas and candi girls and candi girls have better outdoor wheels. They’re a bit squishier so they go over cracks and stuff better.
So theyre more smoother and nicer on outdoors?
@@sophialucy06 yes but not by a lot. They aren’t the best wheels because they’re hybrids, so I think the hardness is around 82a. If you want a super smooth ride outdoors, the best wheels would be those at 78A, and the bigger the wheels, the better they go over larger debris and the more stability you have, but you do sacrifice a bit of maneuverability.

@@Lu.Desiree hmm it depends. As the wheels they come with are hybrid, it’d probably be about the same either way, good enough to get the job done but not really optimal as far as the wheels go. For skateparks, you want indoor/harder wheels so that you don’t stick to the ramp. As far as the boots themselves, if I remember correctly they were a little stiff so they should be fine but I’d check to make sure. You always wanna optimize ankle support, especially if you plan on doing more advanced tricks. I am by no means an expert though so take that with a grain of salt and make sure you shop around to suit your exact needs.

Crazy skates are good, they’re at Australian company and the cheap skates they sell are all adjustable, and more expensive skates are fixed sizes

You've gotten really good!! I'm just starting to VERY slowly try and skate backwards.
Roller skating backwards is tricky! But I hope you have fun learning it and don't get hurt!
If you’re still having trouble, try squatting a bit and turning your feet inwards and then just step slowly from side to side. That was the way I learned. This method helps with balance while skating backwards, and it’s a lot easier than straight-up diving headfirst into the more advanced methods. I’m still not a pro at skating but this was the easiest method for me to learn.
@@taegikookies Though I've only ever skated four times in my life, I've somehow never tried skating backwards, regardless of configuration. Just out of curiosity though, have you ever tried dancing on skates before?

@@taegikookies I myself tried doing it in January of last year, even if it was basically just replicating this particular routine: (th-cam.com/video/PSE7v3xXjsE/w-d-xo.html) but on skates. More impressively, I did the entire routine without falling a single time. I was only using standard quads at the moment, so I can only imagine doing something like this on inliners. If I ever get another chance to use inliners in the future, maybe I will try another choreography on them.

I wish people did research before getting skates instead of just jumping on a _trend._ Impalas are known for being cheep in the "skating community." If you wanted a good pair of boots that would last decades, you would get _Sure Grip_ or _Reidell._ Impalas have been known to break under heavy/rough use. If you had the ability to go to a shop and see the difference, you'd know immediately.

yes, i have been doing some research. i ended up getting Candi Girls, because they were the only ones in my budget that seemed decent.
Sure Grip Gold are just not good. Candi girls are waaay better and affordable. On the other hand Impalas are cheap because they are not for rough skate, there's why they are not durable.

Thanks for subscribing! Try to balance your weight on your feet when you are skating and bend your knees. To move, transfer your weight and lean on one leg and then lean onto the other. Use the back leg to push you forward. I hope that helped! 😊

yeah. and you are lower to the ground so it won’t be as heavy of a fall. but, be careful not to hurt your tailbone. i would rather fall on my knees if i had protection gear.
are the impala rollar skates u got was good when u ride the streets i know u can change them to the moxi lollys but im really like the style on impalas so i will change the wheels the shoe ties so it won,t rip u can do it to but i haven,t seen your skates rip or like the wheel damagge
they're pretty good on the street. But it depends on the texture of the ground. My skates haven't started ripping up though. They are in really good condition considering I've skated outside a couple of times!

I don’t think those are real candi skates. Sorry ladies but I Have candi girl skates and the logo on the box is more defined on the real ones and the wheels are not plastic and they actually roll and spin. Your toe stop is pure toy plastic. The real ones have a harder plastic. Also the heal on yours have a line. Real candi girl skates don’t have a stitch line. If you take my comment into consideration and want to get new pairs, go to the official website so you know what you are getting before hand. Love ur vids! Ur good skaters if you are beginning! ❤️👌🏼

taegikookies no problem! I also recommend buying from pigeons roller skates. They are really good skates for starting out or you know just continuing to skate.
Uhm actually they have the real ones, I bought a pair of the same model from oficial store and they're exactly like in the video, the wheels are just too tight. Sabina are completely different to Carlin's model, where there are no stitch line. So dw, they are original.
