I'm sorry. I had the same thing except it was a cat lol. I love my dogs so much but that one cat I literally had never lived without him and although he was very sassy and his constant yelling at me was annoying at times he really was my best friend, attached to me for every second I was home since I was a baby. Ended up living to be 18 and we just had to euthanize him a few days ago since he had become very ill. I will always miss him so much, a bond like that with a pet you've had for so long from so young is unmatched. RIP❤

Actually. Dogs can be mean spirited. Not super common, but, a stray can be just as vicious as a fighting dog. Not too mention the agressive small breeds that would bite just about anyone. Just saying there are more exceptions than you'd think.
Dogs are amazing but of course there are bad dogs!!! I have a small mixed breed dog that is well trained, playful and extremely respectful to my orders but she doesn't like kids and will not think twice about bitting a small child that touches her! Is that my fault somehow??

We were foster parents and one of our placements was a beautiful 4 lb preemie baby boy. And our golden retriever would watch over him like it was his baby. He slept next to his bassinet and crib and wherever I had that baby, Chewy would also be. He was the best doggo. He passed away 2 years ago now. 😢
It’s amazing to me how dogs (or most domesticated animals) have that sense of precaution around little kids and babies. Like they know to be gentle around them.

Goldens are so gentle around kids. But not all dogs are gentle, and it can be very deceiving, but Golden’s personalities are golden.
