nicely said, guys take note he is not saying trading a prop account is bad. I did and it paid me well. Also I leant a lot from their rules/ discipline which I now do apply to my personal live trading account and I'm running in huge profits. note you as a trader must have your own trading discipline, especially when it comes to risk management.
@@priceofafrobeat from what I see, say if you opt for $100k account, the maximum daily loss allowed is $5k, take the capital as $5k and money management on 2 to 3 % of $5K, not $1000k.
Good point. If possible, I would like to see the actual financial data of these prop firms, like FundedNext, if it's available. It seems to me that the entire industry is creating the illusion that trading is easy (high win-rate strategies, etc.), encouraging amateur traders to rush in and spend money, ultimately making the firms wealthy. It feels similar to how the wealthy create systems, like schools, to train people to work for them at low wages.
I tried prop firms and they have tight restrictions that goes against my strategy. I could of saved $1,600 fee by putting it into my real account. I already have 40k profit cashed out on my own account.
I’m funded 6 figure tbh passing is just the beginning I have passed a few and blown multiple times , and I also passed and didn’t even reached my first payout and then it got blown again , it’s mentally challenging because of the account size and following their rules and regulation is not easy but the journey is worth and can be a game changer for those who has the skills and don’t have the capital, this platform belongs to those who are in the 1% and that’s where everything changes I wish you guys all the best
I guess paying someone to pass an evaluation for you (if you can actually trade but get nervous and don't want to face the evaluation process) is a good idea. Then you can relax and manage your live account. Obviously, if you can't trade well and you do this, you will crash and burn very quickly; probably within the first 2 - 3 weeks.
Thanks for the vid Rayner. Prop firms live off eval fees and copying the successful traders' trades. I find many firms have different rules and requirements put in place as sich one firm may prefer one strategy over another (ie swing vs scalp). All in all I agree these prop firm challenges are not for everyone and nobody should mass purchase in one go if they decide to participate.

Inexperienced tdaders will only win a challenge when they get lucky. I lost my first 30 challenges or so. Now, I win around 50% of them. Took me about a year to get that far.
One prop firm offers 80k day trade out by 3:55 pm demo evaluation for $300 ~ must hold for 60 seconds (eliminates scalpers even 30 seconds would not work ) $700 max lose per day (eliminates holding threw most consolidations or to high of day for shorts ) no more then 30% of profit target for any one trade (eliminates momo small cap traders ) makes achieving 45 profit target almost impossible as 95% traders fail without the restriction

More then 1 % get funded. It's around a 20% pass get to funded stage . I'm funded 250k with E8 since July. I've been paid out 3 times and received my challenge fee refund, with no issues. The thing is it takes time to become consistently profitable. Ive been trading for almost 3 yrs. You need to take your time and you can get there, just dont expect to become profitable in 6 months
I had a couple of friends who tried it. The "fees" during trades were huge. Making being profitable that much harder. Prop firms are amazing and saves you from losing a lot of your own capital while being able to make money with decent leverage
If you have are skilled trader who can meet their requirements, yes.
Majority are not.

So only from scalping there is a slim chance to survice the prop firm challenge.
I'd say geared more towards short-term traders, intraday, scalpers, etc.
