the fact that she even had the nerve to complain about BLM protesters and "not all lives matter" *to a black man's face* as that man was in the middle of trying to save her daughter's life... doc was right, whether it's intentional or conditioned, they're still racist and it almost cost them their daughter's life.

yeah because the characters are meant to show entitlement and they have a victim mentality. The significance of neither parent saying thank you is to show that they feel as if the doctor owed it to them to save their daughter since "they didn't mean for it to happen". They were so caught up in their own victimhood that they didn't even think about how lying about how their daughter was shot could seriously impact the care she receives, given that a bullet wound from 10-20ft is going to impact the body significantly different to a close range shot. they're ignorance put their own daughter at the risk of death. the writer of this episode did a really good job imo.

So their daughter shot herself with their gun. And sense they got scared of the protest and the fear of being judged and because of their stupidity of leaving a loaded gun and leaving it in reach for her to get it and for that they thought they can get away with it by making up a story that a black guy shot their daughter, these people are messed up

Their immediate reaction to a protest is to buy a gun, leave it loaded and out in the open where a little girl found it. Their immediate reaction to her accidentally shooting herself is to blame a fake drive-by and say it was done by someone Black or Latino and then start blaming the protestors. Their immediate reaction to their daughter's Black doctor saving her life and explaining to them how this happened due to their own actions is a limp-wristed "We'Re nOt raCiSts!!1!" That little girl deserves a better family than these two.

There’s a name for it, can’t recall off the top of my head. It’s an outlook that all your actions, even proactive, are a response to external factors and the responsibility lies with what caused you to act that way. It’s basically just dodging the issue because of everyone applied that mindset, no one’s responsible for anything since we’re all reacting to the world and other people. They feel fear, they buy a gun. Their daughter shoots herself, they cover up their negligence. Boils down to “it’s not my fault” no matter what happens and how much they double down

Since when does fighting a system include causing over 1 billion dollars in property damage? Family owned shops were burned to the ground, multiple cars destroyed, peoples livelihoods; ruined. And did you know those protests got people killed? Not from cops but from rioters and protesters blocking emergency response vehicles from putting out fires? A little girl, a black girl at that, died in a house fire because the fire trucks couldn't get to her on time because of protesters blocking the street. Many ambulances, with patients inside, were attacked and hijacked by rioters. Causing the person inside to die and injuring EMT's. And yes these protesters attacked white people at random, blaming them for something they didn't do. Which led up to incidents like Kyle Rittenhouse who was protecting his neighborhood businesses. And the riots actually caused the return of the infamous 'Rooftop Koreans'. If you know their reputation from the Rodney King riots, you would know they wouldn't stand by while their businesses got trashed. They armed themselves, sat on their roofs and fired warning shots at any rioters that went near them.

Everything that is happening or happened in the world has nothing to do with parents being negligent where your child is critically injured for life. Plenty people of various backgrounds have guns. Learn gun safety, teach your children gun safety and keep it out of reach for those that aren’t educated on that safety. I honestly can’t stand when people like to pull the fear/oppression card when it has nothing to do with that so they don’t have to be held accountable for their actions. It’s sickening.

I understand when people say "defund the police" the immediate thought is "oh we just don't want ANY police officers for any reason!!" Which isn't what anyone is talking about.
"Defunding the police" actually means, "let's stop pouring in millions- if not billions of dollars into the police force since they don't have proper training to handle NONTHREATENING situations. Let's start putting that money into programs that will prevent crime before they even happen."
That's what defunding the police means.

@@julisakyani6306 if they need better training then why not give them MORE funding?!! And 99% of officers know how to handle non threatening situation. However, as soon as you have a weapon on you, you are a threat. As soon as you try to fight an officer, you are a threat. If people would stop committing crimes then we wouldn’t have those situations. If people who are committing crimes just complied we wouldn’t have people dying. There are cases where officers do handle situation poorly or use excessive force/kill someone without justification but it is not as common as you think. When those situations happen the officers involved should be held accountable. But trying to tear down the whole system isn’t the answer.

I just almost got attacked by 2 criminals, it happened back in June when I almost got attacked by a mugger who wanted to robbed me and has a knife, I blocked of his left arm from stabbing me and punched his face and walked up to him in anger, I ripped his T-shirt trying go for his face and we violently both spin around and he yanked my $20 headphone, I quickly got back up and he started run away from me, I yelled at him "I hate you" 2×. Thankfully I didn't get robbed except my headphone is broke. Then I called 911 after that.
Then this happened on December, I was at rite aid and I just browsing some stuff until ran into that guy at the drinking section and he's stealing some cans of beers stuffing down his pants, I just pretended I just care less then he suddenly followed me, just when I was on my way back home, he ride on his bike and waving his knife in front me, threatened me to get stabbed because I saw him stealing cans of beers thinking I was about to tell someone, I wanted to punched him like I did to that mugger but they told me not to which sucks, I immediately ran back to rite aid told them that he's going to stab me because I saw him stealing and one of the staffs called 911.

She accidentally shot herself. It had nothing to do with the police.

@@KPR888 y'all are missing the point by a mile. have you heard the bob analogy? a bunch of people are sitting down for dinner and everyone has a plate of food except bob. bob says "bob deserves food," and everyone else replies "everyone deserves food" and continues eating. yes, everyone deserves food INCLUDING BOB. bob is the only one who deserves food and DOESN'T HAVE ANY. "black lives matter" does not mean "no one else's lives matter." it means "all lives matter BUT only black lives are being treated as if they don't." they shorten it to "black lives matter" because the implied statement it's responding to is "black lives DON'T matter." so, do black lives matter? yes or no?

We all bleed red, we all taste rain, we all fall down and lose our way. Sometimes we're strong, sometimes we're weak, sometimes we're hurt and it cuts deep. We live this life, breath to breath. We all cry tears, we all bleed red.

Why not just leave the dead to rest and move on? Chauvin is in prison for the next 20 years or so; justice was served so it's time to move on.
