Thank you, that is so good. I'm in Aus, so not much PRS, but we do other disciplines, where I need to adjust, and its a pain. I have a printer that can make weather proof vinyl prints, so I will make my own. I'm not that worried about alignment, as zero "0" is just a relative number on the turret as I will loosen the grub screws and adjust the "zero" elevation and windage after sighting in to 50 meters. Which suits my disciplines. Thanks again for the video. Best regards, Annie
You had mentioned this last year on social media and I purchased a set for my rimfire PRS scope. I love being able to mark the turrets and the contrast is MUCH better with my aging eyes. ;)
FWIW, I am making my own Turret Tapes, because I can't find any in Europe. Design in inscape, print on common paper, cover back by double-sided carpet tape, front by common adhesive tape, only THEN carefully cut out with scissors, peel carpet tape backing and stick it on turret. It is slightly more complicated than it sounds, and needs few trials and errors to make dimensions right. But I am happy with that. It last long, mine holds whole season.
So a neat little trick to erase permanent marker that is easier than keeping sanitizer or something. Simply draw over it completely with a dry erase and then just wipe it off and the dry erase will pull the sharpie clean off with no residue!
I sent mine in just to have them remove the locking turret. I did it only to the elevation turret since I like the locking windage. It's super nice to be able to dial in the locked position now. Also, Vortex covered shipping both ways and only had the scope for 2 days.
Great product to think I’ve been doing this for over 15 years to all my scopes With a basic piece of white vinyl cut into a thin strip. And used packaging tape to go over it And When I was using this on my matches about two years ago everybody thought I was crazy
Thank you for your videos. I recently started PRS rimfire and your videos are a huge help. Question for you: In one of the older videos (dry fire at home), I can see an extra mag attached to the chassis of your cz. I have a similar cz in the mdt chassis and looking for a mag holder. Who makes the holder and where do I get it? Thank you!
I never made a video for windage, but I really like them. I calculate how the clicks correlate to distance at a given wind speed... I use 5 MPH. Then it provides a base line for reference. If the wind is 10 MPH, then double the click value. If the wind is from 1 oclock, then half the value. If you want to reach out to me through Battle Hill I can provide samples.
@@Womfat Sure did... Just measure the diameter of the turret times pi, for the length. You can fine tune the print scaling. I just print on paper then wrap with scotch tape to water proof. There is also a Mylar paper you can use on a ink jet printer... that works really well.
Matt, thank you for this video. I've noticed these tapes in many of your videos and wondered where you bought it from. You need an affiliate link or code because i bought a few tapes for my optics.
The 12 Mill turrets on the ATACR is what made me change from a 7-35. I kept screwing up my dope as all my other scopes are 10mil per revolution. If they made a 10mil per rev version I would buy a few of them. For now though its a big nope for me for rimfire. Centerfire is fine as your not dialing past 12 mils very much at all for PRS anyway.
For the nightforce i wonder if a hole punch to only remove the actual numbers on the tape would allow you to read both turret numbers but still leave you the surface area in between for adhesion and her target doodles lol
Just so people know, get the brand of wet erase markers he has in the video. They are much better than any other brand i have tried. They are the best for dope cards also.
I have made my own in the past but this is a much better solution, especially with the colored markers! Great video too BTW 🙂

Ordered mine when your video came out for 3 optics thanks Matt for your videos and help along the way for all shooters.

A product that I never knew existed, and yet now I know I want them.
I had no idea where these came from and somehow never thought to search. Thanks for the tip, you cost me over $70! 🤣

My buddy sent his Gen 3 in for turret work and they made his non-locking as well. That is the way to go for sure!

I have found that removing the turret has made it easier for me to apply.
Thanks Matt Good product and Useful, will save me time!

Good idea on the Nightforce turret

Thank you, but there will be no video for this one unfortunately
