When it goes wrong we always want to know why but when it goes right we never think much. Knowing the “why” is important because success without understanding why is about to be a problem down the road

*The modified tank trap stage, dude used rear tripod. The first 3 positions he took were pretty bouncy--tripod rear was popular on our squad. Great content.
What suggestions would you have for being able to find the target or your target reference point other than just getting in the scope and looking for it?
If I had a triggercam, I would be willing to send you in my footage. I am a first year PRS shooter, competed in 7 events, got another one next weekend. 1st event I scored a 29, last one was a 49 before a stage got thrown out, then it was a 44. Just built a new rifle for this, and we will see how it goes on the first event with it.
Have you ever tried IOR scopes. These are serious optics for long range. If you have time, please check these out. They are not for the faint of wallet.
Absolutely terrible rifle control. Don’t just rack the bolt. Find the target then rack the bolt. And if racking the bolt takes your target out of field of view you are doing it too aggressively.
@@Treid323 I’m not trying to be rude. Watch some of the best. Slow smooth methodical bolt manipulation after you watch your shots land. Trigger cams are a great tool to be honest with yourself. Great video.
It’s usually not the best idea to critique someone who’s probably better than you at the said “thing”. If you were really as good as you think you may be, you’d probably be more than willing to leave some more constructive input than “don’t just rack the bolt”. Go shoot a match, record it, and send it to Phil for analysis. Or, sit down and shut up. The only thing you’re helping by making such a ignorant comment is the algorithm.
@@Brayden-P that’s a very speculative statement. Maybe he is. Maybe he isn’t. And I wouldn’t dare speculate on your level of prs skill. But I will say that anyone who has shot any matches , club level, pro level or otherwise should certainly know the rules. And there is no doubt about it, closing the bolt before your target is in sight picture is sky loading. And worse yet is closing the bolt and then coming off the gun to find a target should and will be called at any respectable prs match. Constructive criticism, run your bolt while maintaining sight picture. Practice it.
@@InfamousTactical You’re right, that is speculative. However not very often do you see someone who is trying to be helpful, be so brash. I rarely ever see high level shooters saying things like “Terrible rifle control” to someone who’s being vulnerable and genuinely trying to get better. Those that do, in my experience, like to inflate their ego by making condescending comments on YT. Your reply was definitely more constructive, so hats off for that. I agree that everyone should know the rules, but I’ve seen many that don’t or still make mistakes from time to time. Let’s try building up the community, instead of being quick to call outtakes that are easy to fix. Phil is the pro here, and he’s the only one that was asked for his opinion.
