@@GeneralApathy you seemed comfortable with them, and came away looking vindicated for that. But someone posted a pic on reddit a while ago, holding a dead one, and everyone flipped out lol Maybe few people have any experience holding them? I've only ever carried one out of a parking lot using some napkins-it seemed chill.
Your channel is a gold mine for bug enthusiasts Also tarantulas seem pretty chill, even when you pick them up they kinda just chill out and walk around
once again best videos ever !!!👏👏👏 thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience! The content of each video in your channel is truly priceless. Once again, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
Can you please come to Australia? I love the way you handle the critters and it’s so informational! Australian bugs need a lot more love and would be so helpful for the conservation industry ^_^
these videos are such good quality man. just found ur channel a couple days ago. it’s like the kinda stuff i’m trying to make but much better quality hahaha.
Upload more bruh I’ve been on a fuc@ing binge watching your videos. We gotta see some more scorpion videos, maybe some forest areas like Northern Cali or near the coast near LA. Stay safe out there you Mole hugger.
Ive spent at least 5 years to locate a wild lethocerus but failed to see one alive. Good to see someone finding them, at least.(maybe its because i live in asia)
Have you ever been to Big Bend? Perhaps more interesting botanically- the Chisos oak especially, which uniquely resembles species from Miocene-Pliocene California- but I'm sure you could find some interesting herps/inverts
It was probably on another account when first sub to you because youtube hates white Christian men and ban their accounts for no reason... happened to me 4+ times over past 3 years
Your channel is a hidden gem
I agree, I love it when there are people who are knowledgeable about nature like this guy.
Thank you.
this channel is my coping mechanism for not being able to catch bugs
Better than anything on TV.
Love the Whirligig Beetles and the toe biter
I notice you're getting a bit more humorous lol. It's a fun touch
That last male has to be one of the prettiest spiders I've ever seen! Those legs are mesmerizing
Anyone else would make a whole video about free-handling a toe-biter, but you just show that in passing.
Great stuff!
Are they generally unpredictable? I do not have much experience with them.
@@GeneralApathyI think they were referring to someone like coyote Peterson making a whole 10min video about some biting insect
@@GeneralApathy you seemed comfortable with them, and came away looking vindicated for that.

Love your videos
I actually love finding tarantulas and scorpions under rocks and scrapes. It’s so much easier when you don’t have to dig them out!
Your channel is a gold mine for bug enthusiasts

Jeez man you’ve got a really good eye, that trapdoor burrow was well hidden to me
I first visited Madera Canyon in the early 80's. Within about 10 minutes I collected several species of grasshoppers.
Hell yeah
once again best videos ever !!!👏👏👏 thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience! The content of each video in your channel is truly priceless.
Once again, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you, Pablo.
This guy is crazy, I wouldn't touch 99% of these bugs with a 10 foot stick!
Love our native tarantulas.

:D
If you plan to shoot through water again, a polarizing filter can cut down on glare.
can you please explain in one of your videos how flipping can be detrimental to vital habitat especially if not done carefully
It always amazes me how you pick these critters up without getting bit.
Ive benn watching your videos since probably your velvet worm video.👍
Absolutely amazing content
Great video! Lots of cool, different critters.
:D
the red hairs on the butts are so cute :) they remind me of ginger fur on cats
i like bugs :>

Uploads will remain sparse for the next two months. My apologies.
Dude, your videos feed a hunger that not many things do
Neat.

woah
12:27 how the hell did you spot that?
Need more videos
Question. Do you know why the first tarantula was splaying its chelicerae apart? It didn't look defensive or anything.
Yeah I’ve met him before and he said he just does it for fun
They do this quite frequently, though I am still not sure why. It does not seem to be correlated with defensive behavior from what I can tell.
Have you ever been to Big Bend? Perhaps more interesting botanically- the Chisos oak especially, which uniquely resembles species from Miocene-Pliocene California- but I'm sure you could find some interesting herps/inverts
No, but I know I must.
Is it too cold right now to have to worry about rattlesnakes? This guy just reaching over rocks and logs seemingly without a care.
15:50 you make it sound like you pulled a rare pokemon card
You should have put that cricket out.
Let natures have it's course
If I had a pet tarantula, I’d name him Mr. Crawly. What would you name yours? 🕸️
anyone have any recommendations for channels similar to this (content and overall vibe) to watch in the downtime between videos? thanks
NKFherping is good if you are interested in hepatology. Pretty similar format.
Not at all afraid of getting bitten if they get startled when you suddenly pick them up?
He has a couple videos where he intentionally gets bitten by some things so I think he's past that
Bites from Aphonopelma tarantulas are rare and quite mild anyway.
Make more shorts bro. The algorithm favors shorts a lot more.
I sub'd to your channel when you had like 2k subs now you got 200k subs dang.
It was probably on another account when first sub to you because youtube hates white Christian men and ban their accounts for no reason... happened to me 4+ times over past 3 years
BRO GO TO THAILAND AND CATCH SOME OLD WORLD T'S LIKE THE BIG SCARY ONES.
