  • It took actress Jennifer Esposito 30 years to be diagnosed with celiac disease. During that time, she went to countless doctors, many of whom told her that her symptoms were all in her head. She dealt with constant sinus infections, peeling skin, fatigue, her hair and teeth falling out, and even being brought to a psych ward, all while no doctor thought to test for celiac. Watch the video to hear her incredible health journey, and how she worked eventually got the correct diagnosis and became a health advocate and author to help other people dealing with celiac.
Jennifer speaks with WellBe about getting to the root of her health issues and treat them naturally.

Im exactly where Jennifer was now. Im 4 months into soooo sick. No Dr.s to help me at all. My G.P. keeps at me that its my thyroid. But then says my thyroid panel is fine. He says vitamines are bad for you. Im on my own with it😪.
I am right now at day 2 in bed from eating 2 biscuts. The pain is excruciating. I now know that Gluten is now a toxin to my body. I have spent the better part of the last 20 years nauseous all day, everyday. Ive had a horrid rash across my face for 4 months, the Drs have no idea what it is or why its there.
I met a nurse practicioner and he used to work for a Dr trained in "Functional Medicine". He said it sounds like I have SIBO. I am currently treating myself for it because I live in a small farm town and its sbout 200 miles to a city with that kind of Dr.
Fatigue beyond anything I have every felt. Double vision. Muscle weakness. Just to name a few of my symptoms.
I started reading on SIBO and feeling better on massive doses of vitamines and supplements, and bone broth. I am so very grateful for YOU TUBE. I can atleast educate myself and treat myself.
OMG.. The frusteration of it. Im sick!!! I know I am sick. Under the care of a Dr and I feel unheard and not cared about. As a retired EMT I have learned Western medicine is about throwing pills to cover up symptoms rather that seek a CURE for what is causing your symptoms. I feel so ALONE!!!
Western medicine seeks to keep you sick, but your symptoms at bay, PILLS PILLS PILLS because Medicine in the USA has become about MONEY, and not TRUE Medicine. 🤬

Great interview. I'm currently reading Jennifer's book. Just a thought, she mentioned avoiding bread in Paris... Not saying her, but other folks might be sensitive/allergic to the type of wheat in the US. The EU does not allow certain wheats, and certainly no GMO'd products.

Yeah, I have the same experiences: allergies, terrible stomach problems, panic attacks, sinus problems, terrible rashes etc. Doctors told me I have IBS and have to eat more whole grains.... Tried that and it obviously made it way worse so I tried everything else on my own and nothing worked, until I tried gluten free.

I went symptomatic of Durhing in March,2021, long story short, I discovered I have Durhing and Celiac, but not one of the 3 Drs or their nurses have even heard of dermatitis herpetiformus, and none know the proper testing protocols. Im a retired EMT ,now going around the Drs, by getting a genetic test, and I am currently awaiting the results. Once the results come back, I will the press for an endoscopy and biopsy. But I just learned that as long as these lesions are on my face, they are also in my gut.
Yes it is like piecing a puzzel. Im stunned how many Drs have no idea.
Im in the begining. A bag of vitamins. and supplements, brain fog gone, but lots of fatigue swollen joints, and my mom having a fit at the restraunt, because I might not be able to eat there. Lol.
Ive wondered when it will get better, but you just put some perspective on it.Thank you.

I hear you Jennifer!!! I have Celiac disease. I had to figure out everything on my own. About 2 years ago, I thought I was going to die from it. I was eating GF, but still was so sick.
I had to figure out EXACTLY what triggered my episodes. For me, it was LECTINS. Gluten is ONE TYPE of lectin. Fast forward, I eat only organic foods and stay away from LECTINS.
I could not ever go to a hospital...their food would kill me. Doctors label you with an "autoimmune" disease and then all they tell you is "stay away from gluten and you'll be fine."
For years I suffered with this until I researched on my own and figured out what to stay away from. There are hundreds of autoimmune diseases...all doctors do is "treat symptoms." They really don't want to find cures. (I am not speaking for ALL doctors but majority of doctors today just treat and prescribe.) Follow the $$$.

I’m also celiac and very sensitive to certain lectin foods. Like potatoes!! If my gut is healthy and strong, I’m usually okay. But when I’ve had a recent gluten exposure or weakening gut health, potatoes make me as sick as if I ate gluten! Same symptoms. I thought it was only me with celiac that experienced same symptoms to higher lectin foods

I can relate so much ...i've been experiencing a lot of the symtoms Jenn mentioned...she describes it so well (not only in this video).....but my case i think is not celiac ....but rather non-celiac gluten sensitivity....it's not as severe as celiac ...but i feel its getting worse as I age....I also love bread and had to learn how to make my own gluten free bread. Thank you Jenn.....you are GOD sent....I learned so much from you.

I know what she’s talking about being in those dark times.. being in so much pain at only 27 years old is like “ why am I in so much pain, why am I like this....?” Then the doctors blowing you off because they think you’re just being dramatic... it’s awful fighting this disease alone.

      I’m praying for you!
I’m healing myself but was negative on ciliac which gut aches since I was a baby!
Coffee enemas are my savior and grace!!
Dr. Gerson from the Gerson diet started giving his patients coffee enemas up to 5 times daily to rid the body from toxic cancer die off symptoms which is the HERKIMER reaction which is pain, headaches, rapid heartbeat, tired, fatigued, flue symptoms, you name it! (Iv been through them all ex throwing up)!
Coffee enemas stimulates the liver and gallbladder to start squeezing out bile because that’s where to toxins sit and get stagnant and make all of us unwell ! The liver has 300 functions throughout the body which it does and when sluggish it affects ALL organs!
I have a friend which ciliac and I’m go to cure him if he’s willing because I’m curing my Fybromialgia, and with every symptom imaginable it seems-ALL DISAPPEARING IN A MATTER OF A WEEK AND STAY GONE!!!!!!!!All my organs where shutting down because I can feel it! I did regular enemas because my body wasn’t working and getting sicker! NO DIAGNOSIS BECAUSE I DONT TRUST DRS AND NEVER WILL EXCEPT THE ONES THAT KNOW THE WHOLE BODY LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!!!!
      12 systems in the body
12 cell salts discovered looking at cremated bodies ashes and the left over was the salts- minerals really!
I started these which is homeopathic remedies!
      - HYLANDS BIOPLASMA A COMBINATION OF ALL TWELVE CELL SALTS - name on bottle
Everything starts in the gut! Remove toxins with green coffee bean enemas because it’s life changing!
They would use a gourde hung from a tree with sugar cane to cleanse the colon!
Abundant blessings to ya and hope this brings hope !!! Hope is boundless ❤️❤️❤️

@cindy Hell there dear! I don’t have cancer or celiac but my research I found lately on utube in the search bar was celiac and coffee enemas where people were cured of it just like cancer or any other conditions it’s all from the gut microbes not balanced!!!
I literally have been doing enemas for months and a few hours ago with coffee enema I do daily I got rid of a cups worth of old petrified TRIPE from menudo that I haven’t consumed in 3 years!!!!! I have a frozen package in the freezer and that’s what’s dated on the package and that’s when I consumed it!!!! I had a blockage this whole time and nasty bacteria buildup!!! We clean out the gut and we heal because that’s the power of our Devine body temple and we heal from all trauma because I’m going through it and so many other peoples testimonies are the same !!!

I asked and paid my GI MD to fill out FMLA paperwork so that I could take off work when I was sick with Celiac Disease flare out. He kept my money and said “no.” Then, he told me that I had gain weight while on a gluten-free diet - “No Shit, Clyde!” He went to the same medical school as Dr. Vinnie Boombatz and had the bedside manner of Johan Jambor, MD.

I had similar health issues being celiac and having a leaky gut, chronic candida and reverse t3 (lack of T4 to T3 conversion) it's the same as hypothyroidism but negative test results. Candida and lack of selenium and zinc and liver issues lead to lack of T4 into T3 conversion and is why many on thyroid meds don't get well. First, you remove gluten and heal the gut with L-Glutamine powder 2 times a day, 1 in the morning on empty stomach and don't eat for 1 hr and again before bed on empty stomach. Drink kefir it is amazing and provides hundreds of good gut bacteria needed for vitamin absorption. Buy Kefir grains on Amazon and put them into organic whole milk for 24 hrs covering with a hanky or something cotton like in a pint glass or use a glass jar. Take Vit D drops with Vit K in and take a good multi B vitamin and zinc citrate or glutamate and selenium. Iodine deficiency can lead to underactive thyroid too so taking kelp tablets can help with the iodine as Flouride in tap water can kill iodine so drink bottled water. Leaky gut that goes with celiacs with lead to pain and more inflammation and you will notice a big difference after 2 -3 months of healing this. It's easy really so good luck, be your own doctor i was!
