We lost our yellow today from kidney failure, Maggie was 11 and our baby. God Bless you Maggie.
I feel your pain! I lost my Labrador Teddy late July after just short of 14 years. It still hurts me , but be sure , the pain does ease over time! I’m pretty sure Teddy and Maggie are playing together as I send you this message!

ADORABLE & full of mischief 😃😁👍 As for those who have sadly lost their let dogs. I know what it is like & it is deeply heartbreaking. & I said I would never get emotionally attached to another pet when i lost my dog of over 12,yrs. But, when my partner lost her staff bull of nearly 15,yes she was devastated & heartbroken ( obviously!!!) So, she went out trying to get a Pug ( of which she really wanted) but, found to be far too expensive. So, she got this little git ( of which he is ) He's destroyed the garden he's had a go at the wallpaper.& he's had a go at clothes that are low down airing or drying out. He's 2. yes old yes a pup still. ( in some ways) But, he can be very arrogant & aggressive. . He does love one thing getting a bath 😃😁 Sometimes we can't keep him out of it. He does love a game of tug of war ( his fav game). When he's bad he's put in his cage for while as punishment. If he doesn't stop barking ( as he does a hell of a lot 😱 ( especially when strangers are near him ) he has a muzzle. That's a last resort of use. We've) tried everything to calm him but, fighting of loosing battle with him. But he,s ours & as for this pup I do hope he ends up in a very happy home & well loved.
we lost our beloved Maxie, a 3yo chocolate, to a sudden stroke five days ago. the hole that big goof-ball left in our hearts will never be filled. We were all with him at the end and he knew how much we loved him.
Been there so many times. Very sad.

Yeah, they're great, and I think there's a fourth color named Fox red labrador.
Sonrisa Azul there are only 3 colors of labs, black, chocolate and yellow. The yellow labs color can range from white to Fox red , but it is still a yellow lab according to the AKC registration of a pure breed lab.No other lab color can range so different than the yellow lab. I have bred labs for almost 20 years and I seen the craziest colors of yellow labs you can imagine. Black labs are Black? Chocolate labs range from milk to dark . But yellow labs can be 10 different colors.

I took a black lab from Toronto to Mumbai. He died there after a few months of old age and severe diabetes. I got a black lab from Bangalore and bought him back to Toronto. He was the kindest, gentlest, smartest giant (100 pounds and not fat) He would take me for a walk or two every day till he died here in Toronto. He was only 11. If you want a dog in your life, get a gentle smart intelligent lab. God I miss him and I am so old I cannot get a puppy any longer. Who will walk him/her?

Im getting a chocolate lab in about 6 weeks, I have been binge watching everything about them so I know exactly what to do. SO CUTE!!!!
You'll love your new Labrador puppy, they will fill every day with fun and laughter. I had to say goodbye to my Labrador last Monday, Kelly was 17 years, 3 months old, she was my world. I am going to get a Labrador puppy next year once my heart is healed. Take lots of videos and pictures.

What a beautiful puppy....
The first year they are not supposed to walk (an d especially not play) on slippery/smooth floors but on carpet. Slippery/smooth floors are bad for their joints when they are still grow. A good breeder tells you this.

Weird question but I hope you can answer. So for a good night's sleep, I've resorted to letting my puppy sleep in my bed. She just doesn't like her crate and won't sleep anywhere else. But that's not it. Me and my husband have noticed she will be sleeping soundly and then when she wakes up she's panting quite heavily. Nothing too alarming but it's not as if shes tired from exersize, but yeah, I've been noticing she pants quite a bit after she's sleeping and I just want to know if anyone has experienced this? My lab is chocolate too so thought this would be the perfect place to ask xx
That dog is super mello I'm picking up my lab tomorrow and she plays great and knows when to stop

I had put my Black Lab down in Oct. It broke my heart she was almost 12 . I will never have another dog that meant so much to me. I'm 73 and am limited to what I can do physically. So if I get another dog It will be a rescue a senior Lab.
