The do in Hokkaido 北海道, Tokaido 東海道, and so on is like you said the name of the administrative region, but also means "road" and referred to the main roads running through the regions.
The japanese area division is taken from the ancient division of the Gokishichidou, which stands for the 5 "home provinces" of kinai and the 7 main communications area of all the territory to the capital, the area of Touhoku may have been balance wise in order to break up the huge Tousando route. Culture-wise, the division is pretty accurate, Kyuushuu is a bit distant from the capital and has always enjoyed a fair bit of administrative autonomy even before the Kamakura period, so a different culture is understandable, in Honshuu, the east-west difference is udnerstandable, as it divides the "court-oriented" west and the more "warriorlike" culture of the east that was the center of warrior power throughout the centuries (kamakura and Edo). Trypophobes will cry in fear at the sight of the Japanese location map.
Shoegluenutphobes already resigned
Yo, we heard you like the HRE, so we put the HRE into a small Island so the neighbours wont join in every war!
Yo, we heard him say shoegluenut
my laptop is going to explode
Mine did, right when he said shoegluenut
On some parts China is TOO flat for its own good. The Yellow River can have its course changed by so much, that sometimes it reached the sea north and sometimes south of that big peninsula opposite Korea.
When it happens it causes massive devastation, and having to tame such rivers is a reason why China is so collectivist.
Shut ur teleological pseudohistorical ass up brother
@@Nosirrbrohell yeah brother these mfs saying shit like shoegluenut it's crazy
Day 1 (actually more but im numbering from now) of asking for EU4 Sunni Turkish HRE Ottomans World Conquest, One culture, One faith with mehmet's ambition using "game features".
Day 1 of telling ludi it's not shoegluenut
weird how they show Sunni and not nestorian,a form of christianity, that was fairly popular amongst northern Yuan.
Weird how he went shoegluenut
According to my hypershallow research Rme is an ethnolinguistic group

I really hope we will get the conquest of Ezo (Hokkaido) in the 16th century starting with Matsumae, the only castle on Hokkaido. Lovely place BTW.
Edit: China may start with ridiculously high development but they better make it difficult for them to improve.
Them having more dev than most of Europe at that time makes total sense. Their problem is that a few centuries later they have pretty much the some level of development while Europeans are carving up the world.
I think we got Sengoku Jidai early when ludi said shoegluenut
Hmmmm, I wonder if China will be balanced by the cultural diversity?
I just can't get over it he said shoogoonut
OK but where tokiyuki at
