That was insightful and spot on! I just know these strategies will work on my son, because they work at home! especially the warm and enthusiast greeting in the morning wich make all the difference, as they interpret a neutral “hi” to be a rejection! Thank you so much, I will show his new teachers this😍🤞🏼

I really enjoyed this information. I know you really care for your students. What has worked for you with regards to students who refuse to eat or use the bathroom at school?

How would you teach a 6 year old girl how to read? We tried using her interests, rewards, token and more but she says she doesn't want to learn. We have a very good relationship with her but she is very clever and can tell that we are trying to teach how to read using her interests. She loves butterflies and we used that and that day when we tried indirectly to teach her how to read with butterflies, she said that she didn't like butterflies anymore. I work in a mainstream school by the way ;)

I can tell this is great information, but I can’t hear you through the background noise…sorry. Having a cheap clip-on or other close up microphone would solve that issue, you are simply too far away from the mic. Thanks for your work though.

She is demonstrating a positive demeanor, as she explained that showing a neutral face might be interepreted negatively.

I would say lots of practice, and it’s a fantastic skill that you might also enjoy having for the benefit of others.
