    Thanks again for this style of video. I really enjoy it.
    I fly an advance Lightness 3 and, exactly as Carlo said, it is much warmer. I fly when there is snow on the launch and can do it in the same pants that I wore to hike up. When I was in an open harness, I needed to bring ski pants to cut down the wind.
    I dislike the loss of visibility in a pod, directly in front and below me. An open harness is slightly easier at launch and landing without having to fiddle with the bag. Like everything, it's a tradeoff.

    Hey Greg and the Gang........
    As a Seasoned 35yr PG pilot. To the people who are asking the WHY!~!
    I Love flying the symphonia 2 glider with the R07 riser in my pod. I have flown it as a wind dummy in Comps even. Completed tasks in the glider. I actually avg 9.1 or .2 on glide with my XR6 harness in the glider flying clean. I have flown 200K and I am now trying for 200Mile flights in the wing. It can be easily done on the right day.
    Greg is 100% right. on the harness. YET as he mentioned. The PILOT and the Harness need to FIT together seamlessly. No one POD is correct for everyone. or even the glider you are flying has a Small variance. GREG has diligently thought these issues out independently!~! making us all a Better, Safer, pilots.......................

    I had a pod harness with an A wing because I flew in winter. Its much easier to stay warm if your feet and legs are out of the wind.

      I bought my first pod about a year ago for this exact reason. I fly low-mid B wings, and don't care about the performance increase (if any with my piloting skills), but it's nice to keep your legs warm in the colder days.
      EDIT: and as my first pod, I got the original Strike (used). Very nice and (for me) an easy harness to use. As with any new equipment, it's important to practice the use at home before flying.

    I use a reversible harness sometimes and pack my Gin Camino with lots of rods in it. But I always leave it stretched out until I pack it in and start the long walk. I reckon that an hour or two with the rods all bent is ok. I usually fly a pod harness but if I'm climbing then soaring or just going down I use the reversible Gin super lightweight one. I've yet to see any deformation in the rods.

    I have a weightless as my first pod, but i have had some harnesses before..

      And after some time I decided to buy a success 5 as my primary harness. The weightless is great but on coastal hangs in 7-8m/s of wind the harness is painful to use

    I‘m currently flying a Pi and an Easiness harness. Do you recommend first upgrading to a low B glider or to a pod harness? Would like to go in the light/h&f direction while still getting some km in

    I'm curious, how would you categorize the Arak Air? Is this a B or a B+? In my mind it was a B when I baught it, but some people told me this was a B+ ?

    I have tried the Delight 4 sport. My only problem with this pod is that getting in the pod is very difficult in comparison to other pods like Gin Genie lite 3, Woody valley GTO light 2 ect. The only way is a extra string ( bungee ) on your shoe connecting the pod plate. It is not possible to get in too the pod with your shoes without a bungee string. Can you let me know if this is the case with the Delight 4 sport? Or is this a design problem?

    Why is there a need to specify so thoroughly that the wing's certification has nothing to do with performance? I think it's a bit misleading -> since the dawn of humankind, a higher certified glider is also more performant. Didn't see any A, B or even C gliders at the PWC.

      Great question! Because still many pilots believe that a higher certified glider will be more performant (than a lower certified one) which, from our extensive testing, can prove to be a false assumption i.e. in fact some higher certified gliders might actually be less performant than some lower certified ones, as well as being less safe. From our extensive testing, this happens more frequently than most might think, it seems, based on what pilots say. A good example of this is that older models tend to be less safe and less performing than newer ones. For example, it's very common that an old EN B model might well be less safe and less performing than a current EN A model. It's also common that an old EN B model is less safe and less performing than a current EN B model. However even amongst some current models this is true i.e. some lower certified wings are actually more performant than some higher certified ones, as well as being more safe. A higher certified glider is very likely less safe than a lower certified one (all other factors being equal e.g. the pilot).

    It would seem to me there is a trade off between safety and performance. That a class glider couldn't have the high performance and the safety at the same time. I watch The fly bubble review using three different harnesses with the same wing and the harness changed it so much it seemed like a different Wing as well according to the pilot. I agree with you completely about the durability issues. If you were new as a pilot you would be hard on equipment.

      Hi. Thanks for commenting! 😀 We know it's surprising to find that safer EN/LTF A certified wings could offer more performance than less-safe EN/LTF B certified wings but - from our extensive testing of both the safety and performance aspects - in the case of the Phi SYMPHONIA 2 and Supair BIRDY at least, we are 100% sure that they do.
      For example, as stated in this video, both the SYMPHONIA 2 and BIRDY, which are certified EN and LTF A, outperform the EN and LTF B certified Ozone Buzz Z6 (as just one example of a current low B wing for direct reference) which is also less safe, more dampened and less agile.
      This is of course exactly the opposite of what might be expected by most - which is exactly why we are sharing our findings with the paragliding community.

      Yes, this video shows how different harnesses can change the feeling of the wing - sometimes enough to make it seem like a different wing to the pilot. We find that mainly it affects the handling and feeling - but it can also affect the safety, especially comparing a more stable harness with an unstable one.
      This is one of main reasons that we at Flybubble make a point of testing the same wing with different harnesses - and vice versa i.e. the same harness with different wings. This way we can best advise our customers on their choice of new wing or/and harness, as part of our Flybubble MATCH service (which you can read about on our website).
      To generalise, if you combine a very stable harness with a very stable wing you will end up a very stable combination. The opposite with combining a very unstable harness and wing. If you combine a moderately stable harness with a moderately unstable wing you will end up with something in between.
      Sizing and wing loading also play an important factor in the overall feeling - and safety. But that's a whole other topic!
