Thanks brother! I have kept cameras on that den for 14 years now and finally got the mating footage. It is amazing the variety of animals that stop by the den.
@@historylooker7 I'd love to know. I've seen 5 Racoons go into it at a time. I've seen a bobcat go in while racoons were in there, so I don't know if it is one chamber or multiple chambers.
Thank you! It is off to a good start, doing better than my usual videos. Maybe it will keep it up. I have had cameras on that den for 14 years now. I came close to a mating video last year and finally got it this year. I also have a racoon mating video from February as well. It has both daytime and nighttime mating. Racoons are usually nocturnal, so the daytime activity is unusual I may publish it in the near future. Thanks for watching! I needed this video to have something to post while I wait for the river to get back to normal so I can get back out there. Good luck on your next adventure!
@OutdoorRetiree we went today. Short trip. Found a large preform/ biface blade and one of the more rarer Mason lid inserts, dated 1910. It'll make for a few shorts. Good luck!
@@ArrowheadHunting I know the rivers are still up above normal level. Have you walked to any banks to see if there is a lot of mud left behind as it goes down? That is usually the problem after some high water.
They can turn around if they go far enough into the den, but the entrance is narrow and the female was just out of sight in the narrow entryway, so he couldn't turn around.
Thank you and thanks for subbing! I found the den in 2010, so it took 14 years to get some really good footage. I started with just photos and moved to 5 cameras all doing video now. I have them staggered so that I don't miss much action and don't quickly fill up the memory cards. I looked at your channel and subbed it. Looks like you have a lot of bears in your area. We get one passing through once or twice a year, but they don't see to stay too long. Good luck finding a den!
@@OutdoorRetiree I would say well worth the wait! That is some of the best bobcat footage I've seen from a trail cam. We do get a ton of bears -- I would say they are the most common animal on our videos after squirrels. Thanks for the sub!
@@wildplaceswildthings Thanks! The cameras that I am using now are the best I've ever bought or made. I used to make them back around 2006-2010 before you could get a good one relatively cheap. I get them from Amazon and on sale, they cost $40-55. Here is one of them for $57 right now on Amazon: GardePro A3 Trail Camera 32MP 1080p. Your welcome on the sub!
Awesome video! Marty Stouffer would be proud! It probably makes some people know there's no such thing as a sasquach, with them noises that those wild kitties were making! Rk.
Thank you! I was surprised at some of the sounds they make during their mating cycle. They sure aren't the normal kitty sounds that most people are familiar with. Thanks for watching!
.Wow my friend, spectacular scenes. You have to wait for the babies to appear later and take beautiful shots like these. BLESSINGS.
Mark always love the bobcat den vids!!! But damn!! To get the mating on video!!! Unreal!!!!!
It took 14 years, but I finally got that footage. I also got the racoons mating there in February too! I may post that video at some point.
First very nice quality movie about bobcats 😊 great job 🎉
Thank you very much!
Wow , amazing footage. Thanks for sharing. All you needed was David Attenborough to narate for you.
Thank you! Yeah, I agree, it would have been better with a good narrator. Thanks for watching!
Man,that's awesome as heck brother 😎👊!!!!!!!!

I wonder how big the den is 🤔

Cool 👍
This deserves a million views. Rare and interesting footage. Thanks for taking the time to get it. Very cool.

That was the first time I've ever seen a bobcat back out of anything. When it backs out of the den.

Nice catch from a new subscriber! We haven't yet found a local den for the bobcats who appear on our trail cams but hope to one of these days.

Did the raccoon kill anything inside the den?
No, he went in there to sleep during the day. The racoons use the den more than the bobcats use it.
Wild as opposed to domestic?
Wild as opposed to in captivity like a zoo.
