Hello, just want to thank you for this video. I just got a lipo battery delivered and went to charge it, low voltage came on on my iMax charger, thought I go on TH-cam for help and found you. Thanks again.
Thanks bud.... just ran into this problem for the first time tonight on 2 of my batteries. I tried your trick and it worked. Just saved me from having to toss two batteries. Thanks!
I accidentally left my radio turned 'ON' and only realized it after a couple of days later. I tap on the multimeter to the battery leads and it read 1.42V. I tried to charge and balance it under lipo function - the charger beeps me for the low voltage. Luckily I found your video which is so-very-much-useful (I am using the same charger as yours btw). So I started following your step - charge with NiMH function and stop charging it when the display showed 9.5V. Then I try to balance it under lipo balance, it still beeps for the low voltage. I then tap in the multimeter to the leads and the reading is at 7.1V). Maybe 9.5V is the max voltage on one of the cell huh, I don't know! So, I continue to charge the lipo to 10.03V (NiMH) and stop (now the multimeter reading is at 9.62V). Change the setting back to LiPo balance and wallaa..it is working now. Thanks again!!
Had the same problem, followed the procedure on the video, did it till it reached 9v, then stopped, went to the normal lipo way, worked perfectly! Thanks
Thank you bro, battry 2 s from yesterday can not charge low voltage, after I watched your video I just convinced and proven, what you do, you help everyone
Nice trick, but please don't charge over discharged batteries at such high rates. Use the lowest possible setting until it reaches a normal voltage. lg, couka
Brilliant! I crashed my DJI 450 Quadcopter and it lay in a road for hours before someone found it. The battery was an expensive 2700Mh 3S one. This method has got it back on track!
Thanks! I used this charger to fix my ryobi batteries and it worked, just let it charge for a few seconds and it gave it enough voltage again for them to charge on the actual charger
i pay money to buy lipo battery for few days. After use my rc, i forgot switching OFF a rc (dangerous). Now, my battery just showing low voltage when i plug in this IMAX B6 charger. I nearly want to dispose it. Lucky, i found this video is how to solve low voltage on lipo battery. Its working back to normal, Thank you Very Much. Thank you TH-cam... :)
Thanks for the video, it saved mine lipos, but there is a risk, so charge the lipos in a lipo safety bag, and keep an eye at them at all time, when you are doing it, and try only to charge then 30 sec, in NiMH mode at the time. (i did the same thing on a Team Orion Advantage IQ605)
Thanks. I foolishly left my battery connected to my plane as I had got called away only to find it had fully discharged (a brand new battery, hasnt even been used properly yet!) this saved me £30. for me, a 4s I charged at 0.3a on nimh for about 2 minutes until it got to 11.25v and then tried normal lipo charging and it picked it up and is now charging. I am hoping I have learned my lesson and wont be doing this again ! but thanks - most appreciated fella
worked great for me. I have a nice 5.3kmah turnigy 2S 50c/100c that I put a storage charge on 6mo ago and when I took it out it was so dead it would not even turn on my voltage checker. I charged it on NiMH at 0.1A until it was at about 6.5v and then the charger would charge it as a LiPo. Thanks for helping me save my $50 battery!
Thank You, I use this solution to charge for 5 minute and keep my eyes on it and until I get 0-5%, then I just use normal Lipo balance to charging until 100% You saved my battery and $$
perfect. Thank you. Thank you. it worked. I charged a venom 2s battery in NiMH mode for a min and 30 sec. and it was enough to get it out of the low voltage fault on LiPo mode.
This is great I followed this exact pattern however when i began lipo balance it still alarmed me of the same error. Should I be charging under nihm for longer ???
WOW! I left my voltage alarm plugged in by mistake which over the course of a few days drained the lipo to the point where i got the low voltage error. using this method however has saved it so thank you!!
Thanks a bunch! I did have to do it twice going up to 2 mins the second time then checked it and sure enough the charger started balancing. I did put the battery in a thick zip lock bag just in case lol. I had a Quadcopter stuck in a tree for about three days and thought this battery (7.4v 1200mah 2 cell) a was a goner.
Many thanks for the vid, i was running around like a headless chicken trying to solve the low batt message, I may get airbourne yet, apart from the monsoon rain !
Hello sirs. I have a 48v20ah scooter battery, that I left on and drained all the way down to 28.2v and will not charge with my charger it came with. I do have my drone gear and my B6 charger, so I can do this, I just need to get the proper Xtc60 yellow connect soldered in between so I can use it from the proprietart 3 prong connector which i have isolated to where the + and + and unused area. Just need solder confidence. -- my question is, -- its a 28v, and what volt do I need to NICAD trick it to then use my regular 58.4v 2ah charger? --- I am thinking 33-38v? I don't want to over charge it with nicad just enough to get it to read out on the original charger-- what is the proper stop v? Thanks man.
10 years later, this is still helping people

As my Lipo is way bigger (4 amps) I had to charge it 3 minutes on the Nimh mode, before it worked. Great tutorial, thank you very much!
Tank You man. You just save me 2 new Lipos , used only 2 times.
Thank you... worked for my car battery to start charging!
Nice trick, but please don't charge over discharged batteries at such high rates. Use the lowest possible setting until it reaches a normal voltage.
lg, couka
1/10C or even 1/20C (charge rate) is ok because of the increased internal resistance in overdc:d batteries. ^This is the most important comment here .
Did you just plug (pun intended) your instagram? That's just low...voltage that is
Thank you soooo much for this, saved me a £50 battery
CaptainCarling I was just thinking that too!
Brilliant! I crashed my DJI 450 Quadcopter and it lay in a road for hours before someone found it. The battery was an expensive 2700Mh 3S one. This method has got it back on track!

Worked like a charm. Thanks brother.
i pay money to buy lipo battery for few days.
Alan Chan Or you can just hook up the battery to a car 12V battery untill the RC battery is charged to 12v and then use the RC charger
For real? Wow, another great solution. Thanks bro.
Absolutely brilliant! Worked as shown and saved me a battery….! WELL DONE and THANK YOU!!!!
THANKS I HAD TWO LIPOS THAT SAID THE SAME THING. THIS WORKS GREAT.
Hey, thanks for your help. Doing the Nimh for a minute helped get it going again. Cheers, John in London.
Great Job! Awesome! No talk! Just SOLUTION!! TOP!
NiMH charge for only 30 seconds and now I can charge my LiPo again, thank you!
Really awesome. Saved my LiPo 2S battery which was not used since half year. :)
Thanks for the video, it saved mine lipos, but there is a risk, so charge the lipos in a lipo safety bag, and keep an eye at them at all time, when you are doing it, and try only to charge then 30 sec, in NiMH mode at the time.

Same here thanks for sharing, kept thinking my batteries were trash, now I can revive them
Nice one this worked, before looking on here for help I tried changing to Life 3.3v instead of Lipo 3.7v trying to achieve the same thing.
YOU REALLY SAVED MY PROJECT FOR THIS! I HAD BEEN SO WORRIED BECAUSE MY BATT WAS DEAD AND IT IS ALIVE AGAIN. YOU ARE AMAZING. THANK YOU!
This just saved me from throwing away a 5000mah hard pack. Thank you very much.
JAJA GREAT, I CHARGED MY LIPO USING NIHM FEAURE FOR 2 MINUTES AND AFTER THAT I WAS ABLE TO CHARGE MY LIPO ONCE AGAIN.
Thank you, you saved my money..I think the battery will not work, but it came back to life
I ran this procedure for 6 min on a 20000mAh battery and it worked!
you are now my new hero. Thanks for the help sir!
good advice...everyday ..i suffer that problem...thanks
Thanks. One more "thank you" for the list. I was almost throwing away... but you post this video rescuing
Thanks! Worked for my LiFePo and fixed it.
yeah just 1 minute and your battery Lipo is running ! thank you very much for this tips :)
Thanks mate, resuscitated my 6s lipos that had "died" on me.
Thanks just tried this and it works, im using the IMAX b6 mini.
Очень признателен. Вы очень помогли. Спасибо.
Thanks, one of the cells probably just needed a little jump start to get the voltage to minimum spec. (3 volts?)
So i should try charging it on NIMH?
Wow, what a MayDay/SOS Save on my LiPo! Thanks Buddy!
Just a quick charge, just enough voltage so you can get it back on lipo charging. Right?
Thank you very much. I am able to get the low voltage battery to charge normal again.
Excellent work, helped me
Thank u!!! I thought my battery was finished just because I tested a servo winsh👌
thx bro! is the runtime damaged if its low voltage one time?
freaking awesome. thanks to this, ive been able to revitalize 3 of my batts from this same issue. thank you so much for this vid
Whew *wipes brow* Thanks mang! Thought I was gonna have to toss a relatively young battery.
Thank you...it saved my 3s LiPo
You sir saved my life :). Now im ready for more airsofting
very very very helpful. thank you soooooo much.
Thanks nice revival trick👌
Thank you very much. It worked after my 3rd try.
Thanks. My battery was actually at 3.0V but the protection circuit meant the b6 thought it was under voltage.
oh wow thanks so much for this had the same problem until I saw your video.
Brilliant...Thank You...worked like a charm!
cheers mate, worked like a treat!! keep 'em coming! :)
thanks for the video ! ... good help !... i wasn t sure if the NIMH programm also has this annoying safety measure
Saved one of mine with this method. Thanks!
Yes Lipos explode all the time from charging so use safety precautions by charging out side and wear gloves
Saved my lipo thankyou
Nice trick - just revived my battery from dead.
Charged my 2s at .1a until 7.4v and it does work. Charging normally on balance mode again.

Many Thank you... my battery safe now..
I know this video is old but, it still works THANKS ALOT BRUH !!!
Nice one - worked for me, fixed my supposedly zero voltage 3s! thanks man
Mine just can’t connect, is there any way I can fix that?
