@burni988 Never played DR only OG Tekken 5, so that's news to me. Still, I think Tekken 4 and prior solidifies what's a legacy character and what's not, considering how many characters are in Tekken 5 yet aren't in Tekken 7 or 8
@@VermilionGates at this point I'm personally happy to consider Tekken 5 Dr, and earlier legacy, it's getting close to 20 years old having released in 2005. Even some Tekken 6 characters like Alisa and lars feel kinda legacy, but that's more just because of how much they've been part of the story. I think Tekken 5 Dr is a fair place to consider legacy characters, but I still think Tekken 3 characters and earlier are like the "ultra" legacy characters. I also don't think it makes sense to say that just because a lot of Tekken 5 characters aren't in Tekken 7/8 means that they're not legacy characters. Some games just choose to have a lesser focus on legacy characters.
When he first was added to the roster I didn’t use him much and didn’t really care much for the character. But in Tekken 7 Dragunov became my main character. Unbelievable player to use in Tekken. His ability to chain moves and transition from hits into grapples is unmatched
OMG!!!! I am not a Dragunov player at all but this trailer made me want to start. It seems like he has more quick moves that will make him a problem. I’m all around excited for the new T8 roster.
He was the first character that I main in Tekken. Started playing TK6, but never played it except in the arcade. Had my booty clap so many times cause I had never played it before, was always a King Of Fighters person. But yeah seeing this made me want to play again. Also, his movements seem looser, not too stiff, and those counter. Can't wait!!
@@HakuFreak19 Same here. Dragunov is the first character I mained and I can't stop playing him due to his fighting style summarized in three words - simple, brutal, effective.
He must be the BIGGEST reveal they are going to do but the hype will die down if it stays delayed too long. If his gameplay isn't refreshed then it will be a letdown.
Dragunov is capable of speech but only if you peak his interest. In T6 campaign he did tell Kazuya that he was going to “eliminate” him. I was lowkey hoping that he would say something in his interaction with Victor. Since T8 is creating unique interactions with certain other characters. Maybe it’s due to the death of the VA 😢.
How the hell does a mute soldier make non-verbal, almost boyish nonchalance seem so badass? His movements have impressive amounts of character to them.

Eventhough his VA died last year, I'm glad they were able to get a new VA to do his grunts for T8. I wish he spoke a little, sort of like Black Bolt in Inhumans (instead for Drag just short Russian phrases), but I'm happy with what we got.

Dragunov is so iconic, Namco couldn't pull him out of the game. As for current events, I don't think a Japanese game company cares about boycotting Russians in media.
The first statistics of the most popular characters in Tekken 8 were released recently and Dragunov was literally the second most popular character in the game after Reina which is insane considering that Dragunov kinda was under the radar for most people in the other games I think this shows Namco how important he is and make them add him in every game

Out of all the reveals, I was waiting for his the most and they did not disappoint. 😮💨
Dragunov playing with the 'camera' is so hilarious and creepy at the same time ! He is brutal with a certain style, I like it.
I really like the stage Dragunov and Victor were fighting at. It looks like a concert hall where dubstep artists would perform at.
Yes! Dragunov and Raven back together. Hope they will have special interaction
Well, he's got an interaction with Raven's mentor, so he'll possibly have one with Raven.
They better... otherwise its a huge letdown as Heidern & Rugal
I hope a special interaction between Dragunov and Raven since Tekken 5
Watching this again with headset on and was laughing when I noticed he was humming while doing his wall grab at 0:58
As a Russian , the voice actor really nailed our accent. Also, can confirm, it snows indoors when I come in, quite annoying to my foreign friends. I like snow though!
Anyway, great trailer, can't wait for Alisa's!

I love this 3 hit combo 😭🔥🔥
Same 🔥
I forgot what move is that but now you can confirm with a shoulder bash. Noice
Always loved the moveset of dragunov 💪
I'm not even a Dragunov main but i don't know why I'm smiling while watching this trailer. So nice to see another legacy character with Tekken 8's glow up.
He not a legacy character tho
Not a legacy character. Still, one of the better newcomers
Tekken 5 Dr was a long time ago now.
Dragunov is one of those nicely toned-down characters that still always looks dope. Potential main material for T8
When he first was added to the roster I didn’t use him much and didn’t really care much for the character. But in Tekken 7 Dragunov became my main character. Unbelievable player to use in Tekken. His ability to chain moves and transition from hits into grapples is unmatched
Easily one of the best characters to use for down-to-earth fighting and combo transitioning.
His moves are not as fast as Lars, but has stronger groundwork and simpler chain combos in comparison.
His design is Godlike in T8.
He’s so cold that gives Sub-Zero a run for his money.
Fun fact:
Dragunov's unblockable punch actually has the name ,,Sub-Zero"
1:44 Dragunov just did the Jotaro Pose from JoJo.
he never smiles yet he never fails to make you smile
Dragunov don't need smile, Smile needs Dragunov 😊❤
Agreed!
Jesus ❤️ u
He has smiled before, a couple of times actually.
fr 😂
I can't play tekken without Dragunov i'm glad my boy is in Tekken 8
I already know he's gonna be my main.
Been waiting for his reveal for so long! My boy Drag til the end! 🔥
Feels like I’ve been waiting for Yoshimitsu’s reveal for years, he’s one of the core characters!
Victor is not worth talking to. Also not very inspiring for myself with all his weapons.
The new voice actor is also Japanese. It would be complicated for him to speak russian IMO.
I have to say, the voiceactor for Dragunov was on point
How the hell does a mute soldier make non-verbal, almost boyish nonchalance seem so badass? His movements have impressive amounts of character to them.
Tekken really nailed it with the announcer! She just gives so much character to the game
Drag has been one of my favorites since he started. He looks even more badass.
Since Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection he's badass

No doubt one of the most awaited characters FINALLY is here!!
I like alot his moveset definetely they did really an amazing work
As always tekken team never disapointed
One of my favourite trailers. And I love his RA, it's fast and no nonsense, perfectly suits his personality
決して笑わないが、我々を笑顔にする男
You can't hate Dragu ❤ the mix up with d1 and the kick at 1:36 are appreciated. I feel like he will have more lunches, which sounds awesome. JDCR must be happy rn
The personal characteristics is very cool. Tekken puts so much time in effort in there games, they are always amazing.

DRAGONOZ IS GAI!?? 😱
The stoic nature of Dragunov always draws me. Always sends his message without saying a word.
Dragunov don't need talk, Talk needs Dragunov 😊❤
@@gabrielvelosa2597 Amen to that.
I love dragunov because he don't talk. he let his fist do the talking❤🔥
Dragunov….. 😢

The lore between him and Victor seems cool! Can’t wait to see more

I like how this implies there is a camera crew on stage at all times.
You know what this character needed, more forward momentum
I love how his victory animation is "So you about to snitch huh..."
He follows the "Snitches gets stitches" rules🔥🔥🔥
Like his new outfit in Tekken 8. I also love the fact that he's that one character who does more ass-kicking than the talking, because we never know what intentions he has on his mind. 😁
Finally, best fighter. So good design! I like how they make emotionless characters more… emotional… His combos are so brutal and sick! I want this game.
Eventhough his VA died last year, I'm glad they were able to get a new VA to do his grunts for T8. I wish he spoke a little, sort of like Black Bolt in Inhumans (instead for Drag just short Russian phrases), but I'm happy with what we got.
Sergei is my favorite character since Tekken 5: Dark resurection. I've played with him for the most of my time. I have a tattoo dedicated to him and well ... He's simply the Best in my personal opinion.
DRAGUNOV, MY BOI!!! Makes me wanna get the game, he looks so gud and I always find him so fun, adore his character. So glad he's in the game, hehe.
Wasn't sure they'd add him, given current events... But I'm glad they did, one of my favorite characters.
Dragunov is so iconic, Namco couldn't pull him out of the game. As for current events, I don't think a Japanese game company cares about boycotting Russians in media.
It's a game my friend chill ... ❤🎉😊
If that was a good enough reason, given current events all American and European characters would be absent.
The first statistics of the most popular characters in Tekken 8 were released recently and Dragunov was literally the second most popular character in the game after Reina which is insane considering that Dragunov kinda was under the radar for most people in the other games
I think this shows Namco how important he is and make them add him in every game
Love to see Dragunov, he's one of the best in the cast since Tekken 5.
Fun Fact: For some reason my girl really like him a LOT ever since the first time she saw him, is kinda odd, but whatever, Dragunov is cool.
Not odd at all.
Certain people love battle scars and soft spoken individuals.
He has a fur coat now. EVEN BETTER.
@@okami3186 well Dragunov doesn't even speak at all, so...
Cool I guess.
0:38 Okay, what? That caught me off-guard, but I love it.😂
Surely that win pose at the very end will be a meme?? 🤣 Dragunov looks sick, amazing trailer
I've been waiting for this oneeee 0:24
At first I didn't like it, but the gameplay and the some qualities of mine related to his I felt in love now.
In my opinion one of the coolest characters in tekken
Loooove Sergeis whistling, im just getting more and more hyped the more i get to see
The best part of each presentation is when the announcer mentions the fighter's name, I love it!!!! 😂
OMG. He looks so siiiick. Take my money. This is the trailer I have been waiting for.
Haha! Take his money!
Dragunov & Brian Fury are the most brutal and badass fighters this series have ever produced and I hope they bring back Bruce Irvin
