The difference is that one is meant to purposely put you in uncomfortable situations so as to prepare you to face uncomfortable situations in the future and the other one just simply bites you in the ass because you didn't prepare for it. If you are average weight it says the first three months add 100 calories to your maintaining diet and the last three 300 calories. That’s it.
