    The first thing I think of when seeing this monitor is how it would be perfect for pulling up a pdf textbook in fullscreen, yet no review or photo I've seen seem to think that's worth showing.

    I recently purchcased monitor and love It. Multiple verticle screens or just one big screen and the ability to have mutiple devices on one screen is a game-changer. I don't have to swivel my head back and forth between screens. I have reclaimed realestate on my desk. Day three as my daily driver... no compliants.

    this would be the perfect display for music production and sound design because a lot of software doesn't benefit at all from ultra wide screens. This lets you see so many tracks and plugins at a time. Definitely on my list.

    Would have been very interest to see the two monitor set up side by side in addition to vertical.
    For web development this would allow me a full monitor on its side for a long view with one monitor. Then it would allow me a second long monitor in a long view to compare other code or view the work in a browser. Also curious to see what it’s like using it sideways (side by side dual monitor through one display) using one monitor and further splitting that in half. Constant access to code, browser, and slack. Giving this one full long form monitor for the IDE, and the second monitor split in half vertically with browser and slack. All of that with the 16in MacBook screen as a third display sounds pretty ideal.
    I just don’t know how effective the monitor’s size is like that. Otherwise I think I would need to go with something like the 42in LG C2.

  • @evehg117
    @evehg117 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Picked this up a few weeks ago. I have 49, 40 and 34 ultrawides. I got bad eye fatigue from using 49 and 40, and was okay with 34 but it felt both a little squished and a little short since I was used to super wide monitors. I like the DualUp for the most part but I wish they made the 21.5 inch at least 24, or better yet 27-29. 21.5 is just a little too narrow. I use mine in mostly landscape mode and I still mourn the width a lot.

    • @Viewkreative
      @Viewkreative 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, when you say 21.5, you mean as of it was 2 21.5 inches monitors?
      I’m wondering as it says ut’s a 28" screen in all descriptions.

    • @evehg117
      @evehg117 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Viewkreative 28 is measured diagonally, for example from the top left hand corner of the screen to the bottom right hand corner. If you split the screen in half with a line right in the center horizontally and you measure the outer corner of the monitor to the corner of that line diagonally, it's 21.5 which is why they say it's two 21.5" stacked. It's hard to explain this in words, if you google how monitor dimensions are measured, they might have some graphics to explain it better. But it's not measured straight across like you would imagine. Monitors are measured diagonally.

    • @Viewkreative
      @Viewkreative 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@evehg117 yeah, i understand, i just asked to confirm that’s what you meant.
      That means i will surely no buy it as i already have two 24" monitor and was looking for a 3rd one, but bigger for more productivity on Premiere / After effect.

    • @UKTonyMagill
      @UKTonyMagill ปีที่แล้ว

      I take your point about the stacked monitor size being a bit small. I feel the same way, which is why I think the LG QHD Ergo Dual 27QP88D might be a better option. It uses the same ergo arm but comes with 2x 27 inch monitors which can be configured side by side or vertically stacked. If they're side by side you can have one in portrait mode and one in landscape. Nice! The downside is that you can't unify the two screens as one.

    • @Viewkreative
      @Viewkreative ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UKTonyMagill Yeah I've also seen one Ergo 32inch and the dualup together and that looks good too.
      I have 2x Dell U2414H that have been using for years, I'm just looking wondering what angle I should go for:
      - the 2 Dell + a 32" monitor
      - an ultrawide + a Dell
      - change completely...
      I need to test a 32" & ultrawide to see if I'm comfortable on them.
      My main concern would be stream/gaming related on Ultrawide (only play 16:9 games) as I'm sure it's awesome for design/video editing

    I believe the monitor has a built in KVM but not sure how it works on it. does it automatically toggle between windows? reason why i asked is because i use two laptops for work. i keep on switching from one laptop to another using an external KVM switch to use only one keyboard and mouse. also have an hdmi switch because i need always a second montior when working on one laptop. so imagine having 2 switches to use ( hmdi and kvm). i was thinking if this monitor will give me the feature to use pbp mode using extended display on both laptops and having to use only one keyboard and mouse on all 4 monitors ( laptop 1 montior + LG pbp1 & laptop 2 monitor and LG pbp2).

    Yeah, I just can't buy the "Top stack is better than side by side" argument. It may be the best secondary monitor, but is hard to beat side by side like a super ultrawide 49". Maybe for coding, since it uses more vertical space, but the same problem applies when dividing it in two monitors, you'd have to move your neck up and down way more than side to side on a super ultrawide.

    • @garyg68
      @garyg68 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't understand that... you can literally just flick your eyes (with maybe a tiny head movement) from one desktop to the other with vertical monitors yet you think that's more work than scanning across a 49" display? I've always found the ultrawides ok for gaming or watching media but productivity stuff needs to be focussed centrally, not at the extremes of your peripheral vision to avoid excess movement. Each to their own of course.

    • @GuiDouradoOficial

      @@garyg68 I get what you're saying, but have you ever used the Odyssey G9? It has a bigger curve, which makes you able to see everything without problems. It is basically two 27 inches monitors side by side without the bezel, so you can put windows on the middle, side by side, however you want. I also have a top monitor and that is why I say that, looking up to it becomes painfull overtime, that is why I only keep stuff like spotify and discord up there. You don't have to believe me, but that is real experience, mine at least. And Chau himself said he'll be back to his super ultrawide, so....
