- The story of the red Celica, a car bought in a hurry and over the following months transformed from something I was embarrassed to be seen in, to a nice, enjoyable daily, driver's car.
Some thoughts on the Meister R coilovers, K-Sport big brake kit as well as the Whiteline ARBs and Eibach springs.

good cars. prefer 2 way coils for daily so i can tune the rebound as well. suspension, brakes, and tires are all you need to turn these into a go kart with ac. most gts' didnt have abs, gotta pump the pedal yourself to stand on the brakes without locking, also the rubber hose on these cars are known to swell, braided stainless lines fix this.
most gts didnt have abs? thats just not true at all, they are also not all called a gts
@@arcanevoid9199 here in usa the 2zz celica is called a gts and the 6speeds didnt have abs stock, you had to add it for an option.
@@arcanevoid9199 it was also tied into the sunroof package as well with the "power" package which included more air bags, moonroof, abs, tc, cruisecontrol, gps, etc.
big brake kit is A MUST HAVE on a sport car.
I have Wilwood 4 pistons front (from wilwood) and rear (from freaky parts).
It's day and night !
Couldn't source any hp5s, ended up with Victra sport. Never had any problem with the Celica T's brakes. Even standard calipers. Put on EBC Yellows and I don't mind having to press the brake a bit.
I know the guy meet it at Santa pod in 2019 that car was built for track and fun and it was indeed very well looked after ! The miles on these engine doesn’t matter mate , why people care so much about the mileage , my last one when I sold it was on 205k miles and drive back to my country many times without missing a beat!

Maxxis HP5 are a decent tyre. Had them on my Celica last. Now have Rainsport 5s but to be honest the Maxxis had a better ride and grip in the wet was on par with the Uniroyals I have now.
It’s not a case of guy not being honest with you, it’s you didn’t check car properly before buy and point him on flaws
Did you fit a steering wheel spacer to it? The stalks look very far from the wheel?
Just wondering, have you had the lacquer peel on you yet? (if you still have this one), there's loads of red ones that are peeling up a storm, so wondering if you had this issue
I think I was very fortunate as it didn't (the car went a while ago), though some kind person keyed nearly every panel which detracted from the paint somewhat! 😓
Interesting that a circuit driver doesn't like the loud exhaust or complaints about the noise from the strut tops. Could you give us any information about how it performs on a track?
So the noise in the cabin is pretty loud, from what I know, Toyota did cheap out with the noise insulation. since it was for younger drivers they like their noise.
