Appreciate all the work you all have done to get out quality information to help individuals prepare for for swcc/swas/ans etc. I speak from experience. I was apart of development coming out of Minnesota for 6 months before I shipped out in May. Unfortunately was DQ’d for hearing loss caused from mask and snorkel, ironically. I’ll be back once I’m able to cross train. Just wanted to reach out to say thank you for all the awesome information and also say everyone talks about OnesReady in the Air Force
Wait damn, was it temporary hearing loss, though? I been doing underwater stuff, and it's fun as hell. But now I'm paranoid, lmao. They say majority it's just swimmers ear and temporary.
@@vendetta7012 essentially what it is. Long term swimmers ear. Chronic otitis externa. I’m at tech school now and it’s all healed up. Crazy. I wouldn’t be paranoid at all man. Train like it’s the real thing. Suffer now and improve, or suck at suffering during selection.

@@OnesReady I meant more of as the training blocks for the walk crawl run of watercon etc, to my understanding there was never any SWCC for the Os just straight to A&S. This would be a good suck in my opinion
@@Andrade_USA alright now I’m more confused. There’s no more SWCC. Only SWAS, and all candidates take the single course. The course is designed to take someone with minimum requirements (50 ASVAB and their IFT) and get them to graduation. The ‘prep’ part you’re talking about is handled in block one.
@@OnesReady Poor verbiage on my end,but got my answer if all candidates are attending. Previous to SWAS, I believe all Os trying to cross-train just went straight into phase 2/A&S without such course. Basically had to show up knowing watercon and leaning on their peers to get through.

any vision updates at meps i got told minimum for PJ is 20/200 correctable to 20/20 and normal color vision and depth perception.

Gotcha. It'll depend on what your 125A says. It's basically your exit form and will say whether you can attempt A&S again. Gotta start there.
