Why would drogo even be over 6 foot? The dothraki are horse lords and big people don't do well when riding horses. If a people existed to ride then they would be small and stocky like the Comanche. You may want to think of him as tall but realistically tall people would be looked down on in dothraki society since they wouldn't ride as well or as fast as smaller people.

I looked these up to verify that one's that ate facts and also for conflation that others interpetted some of the characters the same way I did from the books. But it turns out, there's a quote that says 'although not tall, tormund had a wide chest and a fat belly..." so I left him off. I'm envisioning him around 5'10 or 5'11 and jacked. I wanted to layer in about 20 other characters at the end who were 5 to 6'1 (mellisandra!!) But my Lil laptop gave up on mr. Way too slow after editing the file for awhile. Would be just been a couple seconds for effect tho. Their heights are not as high in importance as it is for characters like the mountain or great Jon umber, who are known for the size and fighting prowess :) Thank U btw. And yeah. Tormund is a stud! i know right!? when i made this video, it was surprising to find out he is ony 14 feet tall. he comes across much taller than that. but when you think about it, 14 feet is pretty big some scenes reflect this pretty well. jon standing outside with him for example. jon will be a little below his knee and jons around 5'9-5'10. so double jon and add a couple beet and boom, there's wun wun i actually just read a chapter in ASOS yesterday where jon sees the giants for the first time. he describes them as anywhere form 10-12, some 14 but no bigger than 14

At the end (and probably before, too) you are basing your assessment of "twice the height" on the comment of "twice the size". This is wrong. Twice the size relates to weight more than height. Therefore if a man is 7' (as Hodor), a creature twice his size would probably be around 9'. A giant of 14' is probably 4-5 times the size of Hodor. Obviously, the giants in the series are around 14', but I am just pointing out this method of height assessment is faulty.
i can see where you are coming from, but in this analysis, it's referring to height. Hodor is 7' and in Book 5, they say that Wun Wun is at least 14 feet tall (chapter 35, jon VII)
Robert didn't have to be big in the show because he wasn't in any action scenes. When they make the prequal I think Robert will be a huge intimidating character.
I've always thought of Victarion as being the same size as the greatjon (especially when he is in his full plate armour and his fucking badass kraken helm) but i think that's just my favouritism wanting him to be the biggest badass character :)

Hodor actor is not 6'11" The actor, Kristian Nairn, has said himself that he is 6'10" but that is most likely his height in shoes, he was 6'9" in his peak and 6'8" today. Because of his weight, he has shrunk already. Also I have met him this year, and I'm 6'4" (without shoes) - I had a shoe advantage, but he was 4 inches taller, max. If he is 6'11" I'm 6'7" LOL The actor who plays Jaime is 6'1.5" not 6'2", Peter Dinklage is 4'4" not 4'5" The current actor who plays The Mountain is 6'8"ish, not 6'9" (But the 6'9" listing is from his basketball days, basketball players wear shoes that boost their height and basketball player heights are listed with shoes on, because they don't play in socks :D)
I think Mountain being 8 ft is not realistic. I know it's fantasy book but it's hard to find a 7fter who is jacked let alone 8 ft. Mountain was still supose to be the talest/bigest person in GoT so I would say he should be 7'3 at best. 8 feet is realy too much.

Gregor Clegane is one of the most successful duelists in westeros. Despite taking full advantage of his size he is alo extremely resilient to pain, demonstrated when he gave oberyn a make-over whilst under the effect of a potent poison. If we go by post life mountain he's even scarier, albeit slower. Wun-wun is big but he's also pretty slow, and not very bright (at least by human standards), maybe gregor could out maneuver him, but it would be one of the few times he would have to fight without relying on superior size and strength.

Well I thought the same before oberon showed up, then he ran circles around the mountain, targeting his weak spots, slicing his ham strings etc. Wun Wun is dumb dumb, provided you can avoid his first lunge, you might be able to get at his knees, which look thick and strong, but they look like elephant legs. i.e. they need to be that broad to contain weight supporting bone, but the ligaments are just as vulnerable.

What better weapon than a tree do you think he could use? A tree or a club would work the best for him in my opinion, if we're talking melee

the show doesnt make it that clear. but basically, they are pretending that this is some new dude to king's landing. that the mountain died in the trial by combat (because Qyburn's work is frowned up)

At the end (and probably before, too) you are basing your assessment of "twice the height" on the comment of "twice the size". This is wrong. Twice the size relates to weight more than height. Therefore if a man is 7' (as Hodor), a creature twice his size would probably be around 9'. A giant of 14' is probably 4-5 times the size of Hodor. Obviously, the giants in the series are around 14', but I am just pointing out this method of height assessment is faulty.
i can see where you are coming from, but in this analysis, it's referring to height. Hodor is 7' and in Book 5, they say that Wun Wun is at least 14 feet tall (chapter 35, jon VII)
Robert didn't have to be big in the show because he wasn't in any action scenes. When they make the prequal I think Robert will be a huge intimidating character.

My Brother is one of the guards in 'The 100'. He is 6'6" and around 270 so he always plays big guys lol. Also, I seen Hodor one day and would dispute him being quite as tall as 6'11". I am 6'5" and he seemed to me just around 6'8"... not a whole lot taller than me, but definitely very large.

I mean, these people are for the most part the biggest nobles around... And nobles are already bigger than commoners due to better nutrition. Any non-nobles are just freakishly big. The average height of a westerosi person is probably not too far off from the average height of a medieval European person.

Unpopular Opinion Guy Well I thought that too, but then came up with an explanation to myself that this is an entirely different universe from ours, so it isn't that unbelievable that the average height is a couple of inches bigger than our medieval times person average height.
In a world so full of combat, larger people would become more powerful and thus have more powerful houses over time. Make sense more main-cast would be tall among nobles and warriors

Hodor actor is not 6'11" The actor, Kristian Nairn, has said himself that he is 6'10" but that is most likely his height in shoes, he was 6'9" in his peak and 6'8" today. Because of his weight, he has shrunk already. Also I have met him this year, and I'm 6'4" (without shoes) - I had a shoe advantage, but he was 4 inches taller, max. If he is 6'11" I'm 6'7" LOL
The actor who plays Jaime is 6'1.5" not 6'2", Peter Dinklage is 4'4" not 4'5"
The current actor who plays The Mountain is 6'8"ish, not 6'9" (But the 6'9" listing is from his basketball days, basketball players wear shoes that boost their height and basketball player heights are listed with shoes on, because they don't play in socks :D)
I think Mountain being 8 ft is not realistic. I know it's fantasy book but it's hard to find a 7fter who is jacked let alone 8 ft. Mountain was still supose to be the talest/bigest person in GoT so I would say he should be 7'3 at best. 8 feet is realy too much.

in a fight? wun wun by whtever he wants! he could grab the mountain and wrip him apart i bet. 8 feet vs 14 feet (wun wun was one of the biggest giants if im not mistaken,. total beast!!)
Gregor Clegane is one of the most successful duelists in westeros. Despite taking full advantage of his size he is alo extremely resilient to pain, demonstrated when he gave oberyn a make-over whilst under the effect of a potent poison. If we go by post life mountain he's even scarier, albeit slower. Wun-wun is big but he's also pretty slow, and not very bright (at least by human standards), maybe gregor could out maneuver him, but it would be one of the few times he would have to fight without relying on superior size and strength.
no way the mountain would win win... wun wun would just run and catch him, game over. maybe he will get some stabs or something but nothing serious.

Well I thought the same before oberon showed up, then he ran circles around the mountain, targeting his weak spots, slicing his ham strings etc. Wun Wun is dumb dumb, provided you can avoid his first lunge, you might be able to get at his knees, which look thick and strong, but they look like elephant legs. i.e. they need to be that broad to contain weight supporting bone, but the ligaments are just as vulnerable.
I am biggest fan of ASOIAF in Argentina, but I always used metric in the series. "Egg was every centimetre a king" I would say
