    What's the diff b)w oil and liquid cooled!!😒

    • @shivamsharma25
      @shivamsharma25 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Engine oil circulates through the oil cooler which cools the engine oil. Oil cooled engine is used in Pulser 220, Apache 200, etc. Liquid-cooled engine: In liquid-cooled engines, liquid coolant is used to cool the engine. The coolant used has anti-freezing properties. The liquid cooled engine is used in the Duke 390.

      Oil cooling is less effective.. liquid cooling is superior..but you need to change the coolant at a time period. Oil cooling doesn't need any maintenance.

      There is something called compression ratio, which means how much are you compressing the fuel and air mixture in the cylinder before the spark plug ignites this mixture causing a bang. The more you compress, the bigger the bang and therefore more the power generated. Most commuter bikes have a ratio of around 10:1, which means you compress 10 parts of fuel-air mixture and compress it to 1 part before igniting. Physics says when you compress anything, it produces heat. And now when you ignite this compressed mixture, the resulting bang produces more heat. All this heat must be cooled by the engine cooling fins and the circulating engine oil.
      Now cruiser bikes have a compression ratio of around 9.5 :1, eg, bullets, Honda 350s, the 440s. More powerful bikes like Honda cb300r and nx500 just have 10.7:1 ratio which means they'll run cooler, produce lesser power but run relaxed. Himalayan 450 has 11.5:1 Xmr 210, triumph, and most KTMs run on 12:1 ratio which means they produce more heat by nature, plus they are high revving engines going up to 9000 plus RPM, which means they'll produce a lot more heat and of course more power. Now all this extra heat cannot be cooled by just air and oil, they need more cooling. That is why they have a dedicated liquid cooling mechanism and radiator like cars. The new KTM 390 have 12.8:1, producing much more heat and more power.
      So if you want an engine that runs more relaxed and doesn't heat up like crazy and produces a little less power, go for low compression ratio bikes. If you want lots of power and don't mind the extra sophistication of liquid cooling and higher rpms, then go for bikes like triumphs and KTMs.
      Between Maverick and speed, Maverick will do a 100 at a comfortable 4000rpm, speed 400 will do 100 at 6000rpm. So which will feel more relaxed, drink less fuel and heat lesser you decide. Both will do 150 which is more than enough on 2 wheels. But speed will do a little bit more top speed and a couple seconds faster. Do you want those extra few seconds and the extra speed, you decide.
      I hope you will have no more confusion about liquid and air cooling 😎
