Heck I had no clue there was this much about printers. I never knew that printer and printing device were different items and I've been in IT for a long time stupid me! An old video, still very useful even for Windows Datacentre 2019. Thanks so much for this.
you are the best i learned alot.... but if you don't mind if i suggest something that please do it practically when client is sending print request that will give the video more charm.... thanks you are great....
Hello sir ..Very nice explanation Actually i am facing a issue while giving print from an application to shared printer..it will not give print but throws error like system cannot find file specified However when i add same printer by using gpedit.msc comp conf/windows settings/deployed printers ..the document gets print So does using group policy adds printer differently than adding it manually (The computer from where printer is shared is 32bit win 7 & computer from where i am giving print is server 2016 64 bit)
is it necessary to configure printer on server only for sharing the printer? what if printer is installed on another computer i.e. admin..and i want to share it in the domain ? can anyone help me out for this?
+ganesh kanade You can share the printer from a local workstation very easily but it is more easily managed, deployed and controlled when shared from a Server.
