- IPv6 transition technology allows your IPv6 networks to work with IPv4 or help you to convert your IPv4 networks to IPv6. Check out / itfreetraining or itfreetraining.com for more of our always free training videos.
You've explained the difference between ISATAP and 6to4 better than most networking texts. I'm a CCIE trying to catch up with IPv6. Thank you.
Thanks very much and thanks for watching.
Great video! Short and complete overview of these technologies!
Thanks very much for leaving a comment.
such a good training, thanks very much for all the posted videos!
No problem at all, thanks for watching.
You are correct. Link local addresses can not be routed. What happens is the IPv4 address is converted to a link local address when it hits the ISATAP router. The IPv4 address is encased in the link local Address. When an IPv6 client wants to talk to IPv4 client it uses a link local address with the IPv4 destination address encased in the IPv6 link local address. Essentially the ISATAP router is acting as a bridge between the two networks.Think of it as bridge rather than a router.
@IamCoolAngel Thanks, glad to liked it.
Excellent !! A lot of videos with high quality.
+Neto Andrade Thank you for your great feedback!

Thanks, glad we could help.
thank you very itfreetraining
Thanks for watching.
Thanks a lot for the nice video :)
Thanks for watching.
great demonstration, but i got confused about ISATAP and Link-Local Address integration, I knew that Link-Local Addresses are unroutable so how could it be used through ISATAP router ?
Thank you
You are welcome!
Thanks man...
You're welcome!
the subtitles get lost in 6to4...
Would you be able to provide what around what time the subtitles get lost? They appear to be syncing up in what I looked at but I'm likely missing it.
