4:35- A plane iron. (I have sharpened enough of them over the decades). 5:55- One of those really thin keys is for a strong box.(I think I have the identical key here. Mine dates 1930's)). Great find on the rowel. Steve- Congrats on the bayonet! Top drawer find. Marie- Thanks for the history of the bayonet. A cannon ball. I am SO jealous! Allison- Great find on the cannon ball. Doubly jealous now. Mike- That Gerber knife looks a lot like a divers knife, especially if the point has been broken off. 32:51- Possibly part of a gas lamp pipe? 33:24- Marie- Is that spanner metric, Whitworth, or SAE? 😋. Great find on the shoe iron. A fantastic day of bucket list finds . I wonder how many dozen scaff pieces were dumped into the river from that new construction?
Now that was a fantastic day of magnet fishing with amazing finds ...a wonderful bayonet and two fine cannon balls ...I think Kirsty was trying to sag some grape shot with her magnet at Steve's expense LOL ...really enjoyed this video and I'm looking forward to next week ...Karl from eastern Canada😃😃😃
Watching y'all from Texas. Great finds-love the bayonet and balls...such 'istory!! Especially fitting since it's Memorial Day weekend here in the States. God bless our vets! Love the prize wheel, too fun watching it go around. Thanks again for some excellent fun with you Peakys!!❤
Good to hear everyone showing their finds on camera. The historical information--photos and data add so much more to our knowledge of European history. Thank you for your hard work.😊
@@mariecollinspeakydippers HI folks love watching all your craziness you all should live together in one house your amazing just want to ask whatever happened to the head in the jar that was sealed with wax and a ring and string as when you where going through your finds at the end of that show the jar wasn't mentioned and I tried looking for the person who had it and couldn't find nothing for him so trillions and zillions of us would love to know the story behind the jar and head please
I love watching you Peaky dippers and I especially love it when you find brilliant artefacts because it’s like you’re being rewarded for all the hard work you put in ❤ P.S if you ladies don’t start to be more careful with the magnet swinging poor old Rusty is going to have to change his name to Squishy nuts! 😂 ❤
It made me laugh when the Toffs on that river boat had an accident just off camera. That's so typical of life around the waterways of Oxford. Champion find for Steve with that rare Portuguese bayonet. I also loved the cannon balls found by Marie and Allison. It also made me spit out my tea when Kirsty swung her magnet into Steve's bullocks. What a great trip to Oxford for the Peaky Dippers!
Monday is a bank holiday for the UK? It’s a federal holiday for us in the US - Memorial Day. Honoring US Armed Forces personnel. Another fantastic video - great finds!!!
It was such a wonderful video this week with exciting finds. Well done, Steve and Alison, on your finds. Congratulations, Marie, on your cannon ball. Love seeing everyone out bringing history out of the water. I'm really enjoying the videos. Thank you, everyone, for all your hard work.
What in the name of the tottering spire was a patten doing in a river bed in Oxford......Mrs Peaky does it again with the explanations...........cracking finds
ok you all call it spanner . here in the U.S.A. we call it a wrench or ratchet. lol its all good. love the accent.. ❤❤❤❤ RHODE ISLAND HERE. the smallest state o n the U.S.A. Map. 😊😊
Wow i have watched nealy all your videos ❤so much history that you have and so beautiful to see ❤🤗🤗such fun love the laughter and jokes ❤and the beautiful history you find but you need a water proof metal detector for gold and other metals might be part of history ❤😮 send you luck and thank you ❤🍀🍀🍀
Most people would think we are weird for getting excited about old rusty keys, padlocks, etc. but I get excited right along with you! You make me smile, thank you!
Just subbed abd havd a question. We hear members relling us they are taking items they've found home to clean. Is there any chance of making a video showing us the item as found and them after it's been cleaned and restored. Love the mini history lessons, very informative and interesting. I haven't seen anyone else giving us these bonus's, keep it up please.
I was wondering whether you have to report items like old cannon balls to the British Historical Museum or not. I know that the Scottish Detectorist has to submit his ancient items to the Scottish History Museum, and many times he never has them returned. I know guns always need to be submitted to the police, and the military is always called in for old bombs and hand grenades etc., but those old cannon balls are such collectable items.

Hello Peakys.😊 Question, at 13:23 Marie held up a find, but didn’t see it in the finds cleanup. Was wondering what it was.?
It turns out to be a bit of the front grill off a small speaker. X
@@mariecollinspeakydippers well dang. I thought it looked nautical a bit.
Thank you for sharing your fun, finds, and the great history of the objects and area too! Nicely done, Marie!
Thanks Tricia 🤗

Hi, the long piece of metal with a pattern, could that be part of an upholstered chair.
Will the cannon ball fit into the cannon thatnu guys found a while ago?
