Albatross only got a few chapters in the entire franchise and yet he managed to take the fandom by storm. That sure says a lot.

I like the concept of Albatross having the clam necklace. Even if it’s only a design thing, I really like it. You can even look at the clamshell necklace figuratively! It’s like Albatross will always have a rope around his neck, a rope of guilt and anger that gets tighter and tighter the more he tries to forget. Only when Albatross embraces his anger and fear as part of him, does he feel as if the necklace of everything haunting him snaps. And when it snapped, nothing was holding him back and he allowed it. Not that I’m saying it excuses his actions, it doesn’t, but yeah. I just feel really bad for him.
Plus, a shell was the thing that he used to cut off his sister’s talons. Double meaning, perhaps?

Underrate comment
I feel like Albatross is sort of underrated. He discovered he had animus magic by accidentally hurting his sister. His other sister used him for his magic for the rest of their lives, when Albatross finally snapped and massacred nearly the entire royal family.
Hes not really underrated since lots of people make pmvs/animatics about him, but he is a cool character!

This says a lot about Animus magic actually, the fact that Albatros felt like he was treated less than his sisters, that resentment built up over the years, twisting his point of view. I don't think Animus magic can turn someone evil, I think it completely depends on emotional state and what your intentions are.

2:24 every time I can’t help but smile when Lagoon’s throat gets slit. She was fueled entirely by greed and brought that fate upon herself when she made Albatross into her power slave.

Idk if many other people think this, but the more I've re-read the wof Darkstalker book, the more I start to believe that Albatross knew full well what he was doing with that clam.
I mean he could have healed his sister
And now that I think about it he probably suspected he had animus magic and it was confirmed when he succeed a clan on his sister. I mean who the hell orders the clam to do something. I think if he didn’t know he would have said smth like I hope your claws get ripped off or smth like that

Especially with the "baby boy" parts, and his magic being portrayed with that blue, as well as the necklace, and her ripping the necklace off like he's finally lost it, you could tell the incident with his sister really affected him, it's a really nice touch. I probably didn't explain it well but eh

Lol I was helping my mom with groceries and stuff and this was premiering while I was on the car ride home and I’m just chilling like- watching all these pictures move and eating a pretzel.
I love the shell necklace he has on, as if he’s forced to carry the burden of what he’s done
I loved how he teased Fathom in the chapter where he was showing the Summer Palace. It makes me wonder if he could have somehow stopped the murder spree at Lagoon. Lagoon deserved it man
Please the Darkstalker book was my favorite by far. Albatross is so iconic
I love this so much, it really shows that albatross made mistakes but he also was sane at one point, and if anything it also helps prove that albatross really wasn’t the biggest problem in the royal family, it was Lagoon and Sapphire from the start. Yes what albatross did can’t be justified but he at least had a reason of some sort. I don’t really think he lost his soul to animus magic if you ask me, I think he was driven insane by his regret and constant reminders of failure by Lagoon.

I'm glad people actually do stuff for Albatross because he was a character I liked, he was just in a bad spot. Him going insane really wasn't his fault so it made me have more sympathy.
