Yeah. I never believed animus magic was the cause of evil. Darkstalker had a control freak girlfriend and an abusive father who tried to sell his sister to the IceWings, Anemone was literally a child and was implied to be enchanted by Darkstalker, and the original Jerboa was probably going crazy due to how long she was living for and how bored she was. Just think about it, Albatross, had a horrible past from his sister's constant bullying, Arctic, with abuse from his by his mother (and if I'm correct his other family members) which led him to abuse his power, Darkstalker, got abused by his father Arctic which made him abuse his power too, and I think with Anemone, she was somewhat used as a weapon and just found out that she was never born with magic she was given by Turtle. They’re interesting and fun to theorize about, though, for sure!
My thoughts exactly on this topic. I'm not really sure why Albatross' heritage is such a controversial thing. It is possible for two babies to be born from two different fathers. Even in humans it could happen although extremely rare and almost unheard of. In lizards is is VERY common for a mother to carry on the goods from previous mate into another clutch even a year later! Personally my theory is that Albatross is the product of an affair between his mother and the father of Queen Diamond. Making him half siblings to Queens Diamond and Lagoon. That also means that he could be Sapphire's half brother too. She could be from a different hatching but from the recognized couple's union. We don't unfortunately have names for Lagoon's and Sapphire's parents only that they were king and queen. I would have hoped that this would have been somewhat obvious to everyone. There however are some of us who have kinda figured it out at least. I'm glad that I'm not the only one!
This is so cool! Albatross is like my all time favorite character, so I love hearing him get talked about lmao- it’s relatable- but yeah, I pretty much agree with what you said in the video! Personally, one my possible headcanons (even though I could totally be wrong, mind you, so please don’t comment disagreements!) is that MAYBE one of Albatross’s GRANDPARENTS had an egg/eggs with an animus IceWing, but he was the only one who had animus magic since it was confirmed that oftentimes it skips a few generations. Plus, I also don’t think it’s totally impossible that maybe Lagoon and Sapphire are only his half sisters because of someone in his family possibly having an IceWing mate. Again, honestly I feel like there’s multiple ways to answer this theory, but either way it’s super cool to think about! Not to mention, reminds me of a video I was going to make (and may still ahah) about a separate theory about him and his insanity- basically just that my assumption/head canon was he had actually been “soulless” for a long time, and was merely biding his time and such. But anyways this was super cool to watch!! Nicely done!
It makes little sense that Albatross would come out looking completely different from normal SeaWings and his sisters looking exactly the same if they all shared the same level of IceWing dna. Especially if it was very far removed. What’s more likely is that superfecundation has occurred (When mothers birth/lay offspring in the same batch with different fathers). Tui has given us proof in DSL that this can happen to the WoF dragons since Arctic questions Foeslayer on Darkstalker’s paternity but not Whiteout’s. All I’m gonna say is Albatross’ mom was frisky lol.
@@laikeree_4213 I do know that it is possible in snakes. And now that @Syti mentions it, it would make sense, and I was thinking what if they were half-sibs like me and my sibling [though we are a good year apart at the least.]
All I'm saying is that Artic's father never made a appearance in the book could be he got a bit Frisky with a certain Seawing royal was caught and killed by his wife seems like a Diamond thing to do. Wait would that mean that Darkstalker was best friends with his first cousin once removed?
I think Albatross' colours can be explained the same way as MudWing siblings. Take Clay for example. He was the only one out of his siblings to have fireproof scales, as well as all the siblings looking different from each other. It could be the same with all the tribes, since Albatross and Lagoon only came from the same hatching, not the same egg. Albatross just got a recessive gene with more IceWing traits. It could be genetic deviation, but I feel like this is a little more likely. (Might edit this later since I'm kinda tired and probably didn't explain it very well)
This is a really cool and good theory! Animus genes being up to variation chance makes a lot of sense. For example Fathom's dragonets not being animus despite having an animus father and on the flipside you have Arctic and Darkstalker. Even in real-life this happens, for example, my brother shows the signs of having Marfan syndrome despite me, our sister, and parents not having it. But on my mother's side we have a distant relative who has confirmed Marfan syndrome.
Can we please have more content like this? This was so entertaining and fun to watch! I loved hearing your theory and I completely agree. Keep up the great work Ebony. And I hope all of y’all have a wonderful rest of your day! 😁
Honestly, I completely forgot about 7:43 (Lagoon and Albatross being from the same egg) in the book. So now since I remember it, I have a small theory for the IceWing heritage. Peril and Sky (presumably Sky) were from the same egg, right? One (Peril) had to much fire in her, making her a firescales. While the other (Sky), had too little fire. What if other eggs like SkyWings had the same hatching problems like these? And that’s one of the reasons Albatross came out so different. Lagoon was born assumingely “normal” looking, while Albatross was born with the IceWing heritage, due to the face there was a “malfunction” in their egg?
I agree with this theory! Recessive genes over time is real. My friend had long, really blonde hair and her mom had brown/black hair (not sure what her father had), but she had a recessive gene which is pretty cool.
This video is so awesome! I have a kind of theory: I don't think it's using animus magic that makes animus dragons go insane, it's NOT using the power, because they're driven mad by the fantasy's of doing evil spells, and if they DO actually cast any of those spells then they go evil. (So basically they'll almost definitely go evil)
Technically turtle said that, or it might have been quibli, but basically the power of animus makes you insane because of a thirst for strength because you can do almost anything
holy smokes, the video direction is stunning! You really make it feel like we're watch a crime scene analysis breakdown, narration, music, framing, editing. Genuinely the full experience
My theory is that like DarkStalker, an ice wing royalty with animous blood decades before Arctic, ran away to be with a Seawing. They fell in love and had them. It’s been confirmed that dragonets gets their appearance more from their mother. So it could be possible Sapphire and the other sister got majority of their traits from her. Albatross did also but got his father’s colors and stuff. Kind of like DarkStalker and white-out. Dark got more of a appearance of his mom while White got both. That’s my theory though

this is just a random idea i came up with but what if albatross looks different because he was an animus. Since the animus powers came from a icewing it might make sense that albatross has more icewing traits than his sisters because he is an animus.
theory : Animus magic doesn’t cause you to go evil. opinions : Albatross could’ve gone crazy due to being driven by anger and frustration and sadness after what he did to sapphire, lagoon saying he was expendable so he probably felt useless and replaceable when fathom came along, and he wanted fathom to suffer the way he did because he didn’t think things were fair. Jerboa could’ve gone evil because of how long she was alive. she was losing her mind from living and livivng for generations, with almost nobody to talk to but herself and her child that she created thousands of years later. Arctic could’ve been going evil because he realized after leaving the icewings he made a mistake. he didn’t love foeslayer with his whole heart as he did before, and constantly felt like he wa dissapointing his tribe. nightwings made him feell kike he was sticking out too much and didn’t belong there. he also hated darkstalker for being an animus, because he didn’t think nightwings deserved it. h was paranoid of darkstalker, paranoid for foeslayer, and anxious of what could happen to him, causing him to get angrier, and want to cause more destruction as a coping mechanism. trying to sell foeslayer to the nightwings. was him wanting that tribe to have some weird dragon wandering around their kingdom too, or because he wanted her to freeze to death before she got the chance to even live in the kingdom at all. Darkstalker went evil because he had a control freak, paranoid, anxious girlfriend who more and more started having no time for him. he contstantly wanted her to love him and not be scared of what he could do at all, enchanting her earrings so she can onky see the good futures and not worry of the bad ones. darkstalker wanted to kill the queen so they could rule the tribe together, and she wouldn’t have to worry about what would happen in the war because darkstalker would enchant skmething to wipe out the whole icewing tribe. and fathom half trusted him, half didn’t, so he didn’t want indigo in the way to mess with fathoms opinion on him. Theres so many other opinions I have for other animus going crazy etc, but you get the point. And if scarlet was animus, would he have called her evil for thwt? she killed dragons for fun, but simply because that was how she was. if she was animus, ee would’ve been like “oh, she lost her soul from animus magic so she’s evil now.” and same thing with burn. she murders and murders and keeps their heads on her wall, and keeps the ugly, unique, or weird dragons and their limbs in a towerr because she likes it. if she wass animus, we would’ve thought she did that from losing her soul, now she likes to see the deaths she accomplished. thanks for reading my theory!
I think I saw in google images that one of Albatross' parents is an Ice wing and if I read it correctly also had animus magic.🤔 And I might have two theories to why Albatross went mad. One, Albatross might have abused his power with or without knowing it or two, Albatross was suffering a lot of trauma from his two bullying sisters until he couldn't take it anymore.🤔
I think the second person (On the theories) was correct, that they have almost no Icewing genetics that are presently showing. A good example was Darkstalker. It's some-what like carrying a recessive gene, but not showing it. Having the gene doesn't mean you show it, it means you have it in your DNA.
When you were stating "how can Albatross be part Ice-wing but Lagoon has no characteristics or proof of being part ice-wing?", Albatross's mother (the queen) might've mated secretly way before her even knowing about her eggs (like before she found out she had eggs) and not only did her original mate (the king) but the secret ice-wing she had an affair with mixed in within the genes of the batch that Albatross and Lagoon were born in and spread out between the eggs, and the ice-wings genes just happen to go majority into Albatross (like some people look more like their dad, rather than their other sibling who most likely looks like their mom, depending on which child gets majority of a certain parents gene inside them). Another theory: Maybe Albatross really WAS the first sea-wing animus in Pyrrhia, and didn't have his genes passed down from any relative or ancestor, and this was the start of the sea-wing animus inheritance. And Albatross's scrawny and un-sea-wing like features might've been a sign or the affects of the the first ever sea-wing animus existing (if you don't understand, it's kinda like getting a disease or illness and an affect could be loosing your hair, your body parts getting paralyzed, etc).
The reason that he might me different then his sisters might be because that if one of his had eggs with a ice wing before. Then one of his parents still caring the gen led to him. I say this because this some times happens in reptiles.
Now that I look back on this video, how did I even make those soundtracks lmao.

Every animus villian be like: So anyways, Someone in my ancestry smashed with a icewing
Nice
That’s a good point. Thanks for pointing that out.
Mm,yes. F r I s k y m o m
I was thinking this, but I wasn't sure if it was possible in reptiles or the dragons in wof 👀👀
His mom frisky indeed tho 💀
(Might edit this later since I'm kinda tired and probably didn't explain it very well)
*this is gonna be so cool. I just know it.*
edit: it was
Dude what? This is frickin amazing? The animation and narration is just so freaking awesome and this is a video worthy of Game Theory no cap
Game theory? This isnt a game, silly.
Book theory
@@guitarbrian1976 Obviously
This is a really cool and good theory! Animus genes being up to variation chance makes a lot of sense. For example Fathom's dragonets not being animus despite having an animus father and on the flipside you have Arctic and Darkstalker. Even in real-life this happens, for example, my brother shows the signs of having Marfan syndrome despite me, our sister, and parents not having it. But on my mother's side we have a distant relative who has confirmed Marfan syndrome.
What's marfan syndrome?

THE DRAWINGS THE EFFECTS THE TWEENING THE THEORY IM DYING ITS PERFECT
Can we please have more content like this?
This was so entertaining and fun to watch! I loved hearing your theory and I completely agree. Keep up the great work Ebony. And I hope all of y’all have a wonderful rest of your day! 😁
I’m excited to see this and see what you come up with! Theories are fun.
I always said that it wasn't his magic that made him go insane, it was his sister pushing his patience to the limit.
HOLY MOONS!! EBONY! THIS IS SO AMAZING!! It’s entertaining, and intriguing, and there’s amazing art, AND MYSTERYYYYYYY!!!! this was so fun!!
Oh gosh! I LOVE the editing, soundtrack and mood of this video!! So well done! And great theory! This is my new headcanon for his origin
This is such a cool theory! It is very interesting to listen to! The narration, music and visuals are also so nice!
I love how you describe things! Your voice is smooth, almost calming, while also being ominous. I love it!
I like how you used backgrounds from Sky: Children of the Light. That looks amazing! and the art throughout the video is wonderful as
well!
amazing! You did such a good job with the editing and drawing! Kudos to you!
I have never seen a breakdown of a wof character like this... one the best explanations for Albatross's magic i have ever seen
Great work :>
Yo you outdid yourself with this vid! It looks epic, the voiceover is really nice, and the tweening is great! The background music is also rlly well chosen! I really enjoyed this!

I can’t wait to see more videos like this, this is legendary
dude ive never seem a wof theory video before and even while im 30 seconds in: the art is amazing, and it seems..noble? like dude..wow!
This was honestly very interesting. I enjoyed this! And I love your art btw.
i absolutely love how much detail you put into this and the way you explained it!
I remember coming up with the IceWing hybrid Albatross theory years ago! Awesome video!
FF: albatross is part of both the seawing, and icewing royal blood line he is a confirmed royal sea wing, and animus blood is bred completely into the royal icewing bloodline.
OML i love all your videos your the best
This is the best theory I have ever heard of for Wings of Fire, I love the art, the details, everything about it.
If I wasn't subscribed already this definitely wouldve changed my mind❣
Please make more videos like this, I loved every second of it
This was made like a documentary, very well made, good job!
No clue what I walked in on but I'm glad I showed up! You draw amazing dragons
Holy crap,this is pretty good
GOOD GOD the editing in this video is top notch. I LOVE the tweening and the art work dude, id love to see more theories if you ever have any more!!!!

You can feel the effort that was put into making this radiate from it.
It’s frickin awesome.
stunning art and amazing theory! loved it!
This video is so beautifully made, dear god
i love this theory vid! and the art is amazing too
So cool!!! The art is absolutely spectacular aswell love the theory
I am all so caught up in all these theories and oh heck I might die from it but I might post a video in a few months about the history of wings of fire and I’ll link the video below when I’m done.
This is awesome. I love how you can make a documentary on a book series!
I love this video so much! It's so well thought out and the art is just beautiful. By any chance, do you plan on doing any more discussion videos in the future? I'd love to see one on either Whiteout or Stonemover.
This is a great video! Your voice matches the editing perfectly, the art is stunning, and the music in the background matches the videos tone so well. If you said this was a professional documentary I would agree with you. Keep it up! ^^
Everybody talking about wof, art and theory:
Me: nice story telling!
Oh woah that was a great explanation! Really cool
PLZ DO MORE Theory videos this one was so good.
My theory:
The moon gods just said: “You know what. Magic fish. Yeah.”
Wow this was an extremely good and high quality video amazing keep it up 👍
Albatross might be getting a legends
That was actually pretty interesting information about Albatross, what a fascinating story
I like the music in the background and how spooky it is.
It’s so well edited
It sounds like you spent 10 years gathering informations
Such a cool theory! this is so interesting!
You have a very good narrator voice
This is awesome and I agree
Okay, this video is really fricking cool, and I loved every second of it, but I also want to ask _if that was Sky: Children of The Light game footage you put in-_
this is just a random idea i came up with but what if albatross looks different because he was an animus. Since the animus powers came from a icewing it might make sense that albatross has more icewing traits than his sisters because he is an animus.
im crying this is so well made-
Loved how you narrated
This may be off topic but the art is amazing!
I'm late to this bus, but wow this was well made. And glad I'm not alone in way, way over thinking things like this.
Holy crap… this is like, the best made video I have ever seen in my entire life. Like… WOW this is insane! 500 views in 30 minutes… WOW ✨
this feels like I'm reading a scroll
it feels like I'm reading a good lore book
basically this video feels cyprtic
Wow! You gotta make more of these!
theory : Animus magic doesn’t cause you to go evil.
opinions :
Albatross could’ve gone crazy due to being driven by anger and frustration and sadness after what he did to sapphire, lagoon saying he was expendable so he probably felt useless and replaceable when fathom came along, and he wanted fathom to suffer the way he did because he didn’t think things were fair.
Nice work!
THAT WAS AMAZING-
I think I saw in google images that one of Albatross' parents is an Ice wing and if I read it correctly also had animus magic.🤔 And I might have two theories to why Albatross went mad. One, Albatross might have abused his power with or without knowing it or two, Albatross was suffering a lot of trauma from his two bullying sisters until he couldn't take it anymore.🤔
Finally, some information on a very well known Royal
Beautiful video!💖
Chills, this gave me chills. Woah
SERIOUSLY THIS IS EPIC
The reason that he might me different then his sisters might be because that if one of his had eggs with a ice wing before. Then one of his parents still caring the gen led to him. I say this because this some times happens in reptiles.
I thought it said amogus child in the thumbnail for a second, haha. Anyways great vid bud
Soo looking forward to this!!!
Love the sky background
I really want the thumbnail image as my background its epic
