I just got a timer like this, it is exactly like yours, colors and everything.
Except for one difference, it has a black on/off switch on the right side.
Why is that? Do this timer use a lot of battery when always on so they changed it and added a switch on mine that was bought recently? Or is it for the cause of the environment to save some batteries nowadays perhaps? Or do i have a pirate copy of it that use a lot of batteries perhaps? I wonder why.
Well, I investigated some and found a 6 year old video of the timer with the black switch on it in a TH-cam video. So perhaps my construction of the timers is the oldest one after all.
It may be they decided to lower the production cost on your timer by skipping the switch perhaps.
Or perhaps your timer has more modern electronics that use less battery.
But then again i had a LCD wrist watch in the 1980's and that did not use a lot of battery so i bet they found the switch was a unnecessary extra. Yeah, final thought around this and likely what is the cause.
But who knows, it is something to think about is it not? :)
I did put a old battery that showed up with weak display on another timer with larger LCD screen, and it does look good, so i bet it does not use as much power as that big LCD timer does at least.
Oh well, i will put my timer in on position all the time and see if it does use battery fast to test it :)

I also have one with the switch, I keep it always on and it lasts years, so don't bother turning it off =)

@@LucaSavoja Yeah, confirmed, battery is still working after using it for a year so no need to switch it off people :)
I actually got tired of changing the time settings and has 4 of these now, then i get 7 minutes for frying eggs, 32 minutes for boiling pasta, 40 minutes for boiling rice, and 55 minutes for my meat soup or boiling potatoes.
Lazy cooking from cold frying pan and casserole.
To the people producing these, we probably need a multi setting timer with perhaps 6 different time settings buttons :)

There is a combined timer that can work as a clock to show 24 hour or 12 hour time (dont buy the wrong one, i can not find a way to set 24 to 12 hour on both of my timers. I got two of them and one seems to be stuck in 24 hour mode as we have in my country so it is fine, but the other one is stuck in AM PM 12 hour mode and i can not change it it seems).
But both has a 24 hour timer on it. It does not have a alarm clock linked to the clock, but it can be used as a alarm clock by setting the timer for a long time, up to 24 hours.
It has three round upper buttons and under them it is three long buttons, a large LCD and a two-tone color on the timer itself. On ebay. Not as low priced as this timer, but it has what you want, a 10 hour timer.
