Me too. The road was nearly empty. I encountered 4-5 cars and 2 motorcycles on that 23 mile stretch of Hells Canyon Road. On a Saturday. Perfect day of riding.

Hey I just picked up a low miles 2003 r1150r. I’m loving it except for the wind noise factor. It has a bmw windscreen on it but it seems it pushes all the wind right into my face. I’m about 6’4”. I’m thinking of taking it off and just running it naked. What helmet have you had good luck with running your bike naked? Thanks for making the awesome content, your videos are in part why I couldn’t pass up this bike when it came up for sale.

I use a Shoei full face helmet that cuts the wind noise fairly well. I can't recall the exact model. Going without the wind screen is okay for around town but you may want it back on the bike for long distance, high speed travels. Riding without wind protection for long distances can be exhausting. Good luck with the R1150R. Thanks for watching.

What do you think about Dennis Dillon motorcycle dealership? I am coming out next June and might have my bike shipped there. Or do you have any other suggestions. Thank you.

I don't have much experience with the dealership but I believe the business is reliable. It's a large operation that sells motorcycles, boats, RV's, all terrain vehicles and has a large service shop. Dennis Dillon owns many car dealerships in the area as well. I'd trust them.

@@WheelStories very cool thanks! We plan on mentioning the old spiral, st joe river, hells canyon, Hwy 26 and 31 from Victor to alpine, Lolo pass, coeur lake, and a loop around boise which includes 21,17 and Hwy 55. Is there any that you would say are missing or should be replaced in a top seven list?

All routes through central Idaho are terrific. Boise to Stanley then up through Challis and Salmon to the Montana border. Both routes out of Boise to Stanley are good, up through Horseshoe Bend and Garden Valley or through Idaho City, take your pick. Sun Valley to Stanley is awesome as well. Stanley is very scenic. Need to check out Redfish Lake. Boise to McCall is nice but can be a slog on weekends with long lines of traffic. McCall to Grangeville on 95 then down to Kooskia on 13 is fun as well. Much of Idaho is mountains, rivers and lakes. The south portion of the state has some boring freeways and highways, most going east-west.
