There are other channels like this, but THIS is only one, where i feel, like its just normal person with normal amount of money trying to fulfill his dream.
You should get what I think is called a butt kicker. It is basically a big speaker that goes under your seat and vibrates your seat and makes a big bass drop for a crash, ect. It makes it a lot more realistic and cooler. I would recommend it.
I fell down this hole, I now have four of the 50 watt models on my sim rig used for engine and road noises, even watching movies on them is a blast, another are bass demo videos...bass shakers are a blast!
I have a DOF Reality motion rig, and your initial (joking) conclusion of the 0 out of 10 I would say is totally accurate as a "hardcore gamer." If you are looking for pure speed out of your sim racing, motion isnt something that will make you go faster because its a variable taking your attention away from setting the fastest possible lap times and is a gimmick at best. If you're just looking to add another level of immersion as a causal gamer, then for sure its awesome if you can pay the entry fee. But as a racer, using it as a training aide, for sure I recommend motion 7 days a week. Mixed with VR, I've been able to train for races at tracks that Ive never been to with serious elevation changes and gotten in the car and felt like I was right at home.
Thanks for the updates brother. We are headed to Film Snow drift on the 8th in atlanta MI. I wish you the best on your rally and cant wait for the next video! I Hope our paths cross one day.
Hey man. I just have to say this is the single best and most enjoyable content on this platform. Can’t wait to see more. Just want to make sure you keep doing this because it’s amazing to see and hopefully something I can also try in the future.
In EA Sports and DIRT Rally the cars turn around their center pivot point = it means the rotation is happening as if the car is spinning in place rather than behaving like a real car with proper physics. Also there is way too much traction and sideways grip. You will love RBR, it feels natural, not mario kart like this game
@@buklauify This video explains it well: "EA Sports WRC 23 pre-launch (physics) analysis" by mrelwood games. This being said, the DIRT and WRC games have pretty graphics and amazing sounds and brings more fans to rally games, it's just that if you want to train for a real rally for example I would definitely pick a simulator like RBR with proper physics.
Budget belt tensioner is to fasten the rear belt ends to the surface under the motion rig legs and not to rig itself. However the tradeoff is some tension in turns, but not as heavy than when braking. Tensioner G-Belt alone from SimXxperience is a bit pricey new, I got mine second hand though.
Absolutely awesome!!! Super chuffed for you 😂 Only thing missing now is a seatbelt tensioner for those sustained G forces. Thank you for sharing your journey and wishing you the best!! Good luck with the irl high speed testing 😊
Motion is awesome, but.... you haven't even scratched the surface of what else is possible: Get some butt kickers, add a seat belt tensioner and get a SimXperience G-seat ( for the sustaned G-forces you talked about). Then add VR (with motion compensation in RBR and DR2 ) and some sim wind to keep you cool :) With VR & motion compensation you will be able turn the motion settings up without having to worry about monitors or misaligned views. Then you can experience some real steap hill climbs and decents.
I have motion and really like your rig I haven't erasing lab system and love it. I think you should try the quest 3 that will make it more like reality a monitor is never the same
Great to see the Simrig SR3's here, wich we here at Gamereactor helped them develop. Superb value. Now put that rig ontop of the Next Level Traction Plus Platform to get the slip/yaw, wich is crucial for rallying. We did it, works wonders. :-)
Wow that rig is perfect now, if I ever get to the point I really wanna try a motion system on a rig. Whenever I upgrade to a full rig from my wheel stand that is. Definitely tuning into the rally! From ryan to ryan goodluck!
I wonder if there is a simsteering manufacturer that makes the shifter they use on the real one? It has the pull for upshift and push for downshift on the steering wheel itself.
Be aware that this system only does 100 mm/s, which is just 0.36 kph, so it needs some time to move up and down and for Rally this isn't fast enough. So less is more in terms of movement and IMO adding tactile feedback with Buttkickers for example, is always a plus and overall also the better deal in terms of bang for the buck.
I hope you will try the rally school stage in RBR. Its my fav stage!! Even with all the new ones. Love the content. Youre really living my dream! Greets from the netherlands!
NEXT STEP VR!!!! QUEST 3!!!! But in general you dont need motion. For this rally training and experiment 0 to Hero maybe yes. Deffo not for drifting or regular racing. Bass shakers are much more affordable and useful in sim racing situations.
@Staliris Google ButtKicker quite expensive but worth every penny. Or you can get one big from TrakRacer which is much more affordable. Or or you can build your own if you good with engineering stuff.
Hmm, the S3 leg mounting is different from S1 as the S3 seem to not have two 20x20x780mm alu bars to support two motion legs on each side of the rig. So two bars for front legs and two for rear ones. S1 made of 3D printed plastic though, but has less weight bearing specs as well (175kg). Scetchy I would say without examine the S3 leg and material thickness closer.
Maybe next step is go VR? it's funny cause its cheaper to buy two rear drive cars and just drive through forest, than buying this 5000 Euro motion system
I know this is probably going to sound stramge but from someone who does both sim racing and rallying the motion rig is not going to help if anything it is going to make things worse. I thought the same that it would have to help but it doesn't there is a tiny delay in the motion happening and once/if your body gets use to it will throw off your timing/mussle memory for irl rallying
Ah right. Those are from a new company out of Canada called MIA's Racing Co. They sent a couple of things for me to test out and provide feedback on. Not sure where they are even for sale at the moment, to be honest.
Please tell me those arms or feet for the actuators are not 3D printed. I don’t see that system lasting very long. And I own a print farm I’ve been running for 2 years 😂
Love watching you continue this challenge as I started watching you ever since you uploaded the Logitech vid - I really wish I could Support you on Patreon, but I have no money. Is there anything thing I can do to help support apart from subbing? Good luck with RBR you'll need it
i love the serie but one thing that really pisses me off is Dirt Rally 2... Why go all that way , spend all the money, time and effort to train for a rally only to use DR2 as training "sim"? if you want to train for a real rally, RBR is literally the only viable option for you in the open market. Sure the graphic arent as good as DR2 but the 1000x time more realistic physics greatly make up for it. DR2 is an arcade game and its a hill im willing to die on. im by not mean a pro but i did do 4 regionals so its not like i have zero experience IRL.
its a shame you are using ea wrc or dirt rally.. if you want the experience to be realistic you should really use rbr or even better beamng with proper setup and mods

This series is actually so entertaining im surprised no one's done this before
my life as a rallyist on drive did basically the same thing without the sim angle a long time ago
Well it ain't cheap

yes they have. don't be so gullible. it was a series in drive mentioned above.
Really digging this series mate. Keen to see how you got on with Richard Burns Rally
Same. Cant wait for him to try it and see his reaction.

This was so much FUN! 😄 Thanks for having me by.
When you said cheap i was expecting 1,500, not 4000. So it looks like I’m not getting motion anytime soon
Stoked to see you play RBR if you ever get around to it 👍
now only need go to Richard Burns Rally
Fr
You should try vr its so much more emursive try a quest 3 there pretty good for pc vr games also love your videos❤🔥 wish you the best of luck 👍
I love this! Watching you on this journey is so much fun! Best of luck!
Missing your mountain biking videos but this series has been fantastic
I actually love this series bro, keep it up man!
Really hyped up about seeing you on your first rally, even if it’s not on the year lapse, keep it up man this series is it!!🙌🏼🙌🏼

Setup looks awesoem

You should put down some larger feet for the actuator pegs, it's really digging into the carpet as is.

thats amazing. what a rig
love the thumbnail

I recommend to make the wheel base static, that’s going to add to the realism a lot
Planning on it 💪
@@RyansRoadToRally forgot to mention the gear shift and handbrake as well, I wonder how you will like it, but it seems to be the most realistic

Bezel delete mod and some butt kickers youll have a maxxed out rig
You drive Australia in Dirt Rally 2.0, some of the roads are so rugged.
Do VR with motion and be blown away!
Surprising that you're still using monitors, a VR headset will massively increase the immersion.

@Stalirisit is a speaker -bass- that is at a high amplitude and so shakes the sim rig.

How do you make EA work with triples? I’ve tried RR and SRWE and nothing works…
VR next my man.. you won't regret it
Try WRC 9 if it's compatible. That game feels so much more real to me than the new WRC from EA, and I'm not a fan of WRC 10
