We were captivated by the Hadza’s symbiotic relationship with the honeyguide bird which leads them to beehives. They harvest honey with skill, precision and brute strength and physicality
When he make fire, the cameraman and editor not skip any second of the video. That is a real tutorial to make true fire in the wild, not like some "suvivorman".
I've had similar chats & experiences w/orioles & cardinals wanting help to get at mulberries in challenging branch locations. Often witnessed by my clients -- the birds would come over to me in my garden ashiyu (water footspa resident under a very large mango tree) and politely "ask" me to put some mulberries from a nearby Mulberry bush into an accessible makeshift feeder. If I ignored them, they became quite insistent! After picking & placing a few in the feeder, they'd routinely patrol the area & keep it clear of biting insects for a few hours. ;~)
I love your relationship with them, that sounds really sweet. The fact that they get insistent makes me laugh. They're the size of a human hand, so much smaller, but they boss us around hahah.
They're hunter gatherers. Why on earth would they rely on someone else to get their food? Plus a lot of honey in stores is heavily tampered and isn't as natural as you think
Most honey is made with sugar and water, shipped by China into other countries in order to avoid the label of 'Made in China'. Honey production has stagnated yet honey sales have been exponential.. Avoid most honey in the store, it's fake.
They know if they don't give the bird it's cut, it goes looking for a pride of lions to tell them where they can find humans.
