My school did this musical, and I was one of the ancestors who was in this scene :) ( but I was the florist ancestor and I was the only one who positioned her to point at Lucas)

Oh neat. When I was involved in this show some years back, we did the arrow as a spring loaded thing in the pole he was standing next to. It flipped down, knocked the gimmicked apple in half, so we made it look like it was actually shot at speed. I love this interpretation with the ghosts guiding it.

Hey Jenna! Thank you for the compliment!! Have you’ve seen the original Broadway Musical version of the show that this song is from? In the Broadway version Krysta Rodriguez plays Wednesday, and does not have braids. Wednesday is grown in the Broadway musical, and is about to be engaged and gets married at the end of the show. Since she plays an older Wednesday in the Broadway version, she doesn’t have braids. Hope that answers your question 😊

If you look for "Clandango", that song was the initial song envisioned for this play. It has Wednesday's braids being cut off to show that is now a woman. It was cut out to be replaced with "When your an Addams". It makes more sense with the story, but "When your an Addams" is a better production number.

We're rehearsing to preform this show in February and the funniest moment to ever happen this year was definitely when mal said "mama ill be crazy for you" or whatever that line is and another actor just immediately went "YEUGH" as loud as she could and we all burst out laughing, i cant listen to this song without hearing that now

omg you are so talented! i’ve been invited to a callback for Wednesday (not a typical audition process as we had to switch shows, our original auditions stand but those wanting big roles have to do a callback with this song)
As of now, I haven’t really decided if I want to go for it or not. It’s not that I don’t think I can do it, it’s that the only other girl who’s probably going to is my incredibly talented bestie (we’re a small program) and I feel like she will 100% outshine me lol. I hate auditions so it might be too much stress for me to handle.

Update for anyone who may see this: I ended up not auditioning for Wednesday because I realized that the vocals were going to be too straining for me to pull off consistently for months. My best friend got the part and I’m incredibly proud of her!

@@daliah8883 I have! I didn't get the part, but I found out from the director that it was just because I'm too tall, and that ability-wise I was the top pick! I'm perfectly happy with that (for context, I'm taller than the actors playing Gomez, Morticia AND Lucas, so it wouldn't really work)

make sure you are very warmed up, and not tense i’m also casted as Wednesday for our preformance in october and i’ve been working on the high notes too! maybe practice in the shower :)
