The halved rythm at 1:57, that's not in the album track, gives me chills under my backbone. An absolute banger from this man live, the most powerful slowing down you can ever see.
I think it's about time Aaron is mentioned among the best drummers of hard rock EVER. As a fellow drummer, there's no one who's influenced my playing more than he has. It's uncaged aggression and energy coupled with speed and syncopation. A LEGEND
Man at 2:30 that sht gives me cold chills!! Lol.. Aaron is so fkn great its crazy watching him play.. How hard it has be playing that hard and with those time signatures and still being able to sing too.. and when he's singing he never sounds like he's out of breath.. lol. He's such an amazing Musician and Talent..
2:40 The fact that he lost two sticks back to back and flawlessly grabbed another without missing a beat, is truly mesmerizing. You got yourself a good one, VF. ❤️
Think he only lost the one. Stick broke in half and then he chucked the butt of the stick away. Still impressive as fuck that he never missed a beat though.
@@drummerjosh901I’m pretty sure he loses one a few seconds before the broken one, unless you don’t count the broken stick as lost. Idk, I play strings😅
man was such a shame they never put drum cams on from back in the days. i remember watching the bonus dvd that came with one of the cds... think it was tocs but spence and tim said that arron was the best drummer, basically carried the group. i honestly was sad when Arron left, even tho they replaced him DD who was sick in normajean, but like they said arron was just another beast. Thank you piggy, you inspired me to play drums man, my high school was years was nothing but UO, and NJ.
Aaron has always been an incredibly energetic performer but watching this video, it's evident that he's worked his tail off at upping his technical abilities. The raw emotion is still there but these days he's playing with a noticeably increased level of precision and intent. It's awesome witnessing him continuing to up his game this far into his career.
You can't teach passion. The dude is filthy, Paul Koehler from Silverstein is another MONSTER in this genre. Omg... I love good spacing with drummers. Shows more maturity than tons of fills and crap every second.
It looks like aaron has two dreads on the back of his head. 🤘🤘 he's an amazing. He got me into hardcore music. "We're only chasing safety!" Such an amazing album.
Just the drum kit in general sounds amazing. Back in the day the deep beefy dead sound was the thing to have. I always hated it😂 I like cranked snares and punchy sustaining Toms
After LITSOS came out, one of their Australian tours, he had this 14 x 8 "gold over brass" snare that he took with him on tour, and that live snare sound is absolutely insane. Idk if the video is still on TH-cam, but it was under the Truth Custom Drums Australia channel.
Probably there the whole time. Youre hearing the actual drum. In the studio engineers like to smash and compress the shit out of it when most of the time it would sound better just mic'd and EQ'd a little. haha
I love how he grew out of having that rack tom so far to the left and flat. I don’t have a problem with it being flat, as a flat kit is fun to play, but his rack was so far off to the left that it almost looked silly.
brather my favret part when het cymbal mega hardd, verry good at smesh, so much so i want all cymbal hes own for mineself. now im gonna hard smesh cymval and bassdrum! xbreakdownsx big spirit! all best in future Aaron!
Its like if Animal from the Muppets was a real person. His energy and the way he consistently hits the drums so hard is incredible to watch. I remember watching the Lost in the Sound of Separation “making of” dvd, and the producer got Aaron to play a shallow kick (I think it was 18 or 20 inches) instead of a 28in. kick like he had been because it would sound punchier. I’m glad Aaron stuck with it ever since because his kick sounds so good here.
This band makes INCREDIBLE music…. For DECADES. Aaron is such a natural heavy drummer. It’s awesome. He inspired me to beat the sh out of my drums and pis off everyone playing with me 😂
as Caleb Shomo once said, "i don't care how popular some bands might become. None of us will EVER be underoath."
Amen
The halved rythm at 1:57, that's not in the album track, gives me chills under my backbone. An absolute banger from this man live, the most powerful slowing down you can ever see.
Underoath is the only band where I would watch a keyboard cam too
That Casio gets a workout son!
Dudley is the man! I remember watching a dvd documentary as a kid and he would go crazy!

Breaks a stick at 2:43 and didn't even miss a hit! Nice 👌
As if he doesn’t write his parts amazingly enough, he performs them with such energy that the whole act is just breathtaking
I always loved just how HARD he smacks those drums. I'm glad after all these years that he hasn't changed
and he can sing (really well) while playing, too!
So true this really captures the emotion and energy into his performance. He is such a solid drummer, always fun to watch
I’ve always loved how passionate Aaron plays but man when I saw them in concert I couldn’t believe how hard he was actually hitting those drums lol
100,000,000%
The communication and timing at 1:23 between Chris and Aaron are why this band will go down in the history books!
Well they play to a backing track with a reference that counts them all in. Still impressive that they do it so naturally and seamlessly though!
@@jtmalet yeah agreed, their IEM's have a click and a heads up on whats about to come. All sets are planned that way, just performed to look organic.
Lol
He’s so fun to watch. The energy, his ability, showmanship and the drums sound killer! Please release more videos, 🙏🏻

One of the handful of songs that brings me out of mosh retirement, certified banger

Top 5 in my book. Prolly top 3.

My drumming idol! He makes playing the drums look like so much fun!
That was other worldly man. What a performance of one of my favs from them.
I love how Spencer is doing his thing and killing it but always looks back to admire Aaron's work
…
Wow. This was the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. This dude bring his balls to the table. Insane
That snare is on GOD Mode.. DAMN
amazing how he inverts the hihat/cymbal playing with the snare from 1:30, and then turns it around again. a true innovator and inspirator.
A generational influence. Changed music forever & he probably had no idea he was doing it
Not really, but ok.
@@The_Rob_D i don't know man. Some his drum fills are insane.
He definitely inspired a lot of the Travis Barker era drummers. Had a huge impact on some of todays most gifted drummers.
Aaron plays SO hard dude, I love his energy!
That fuckin' snare dude. Damn.
Aaron f’n kicks so much ass!!! Absolute gem of a drummer and band!
Aaron literally created a new style of drumming. “Glitch” one of the most glitchy drummers ever. Such a unique style.
THANK THE LORD IN THE HEAVENS ABOVE. I needed that. One of the greatest bands of all-time. Much Love.
HAHAHA Got love a stick break on a vicfirth channel video (This is sick btw)
Super smooth recovery. Pro.
I love when he leans on the snare or floor tom to smack whatever his going to hit next 😅😅😅😅😅
Just saw them for the first time last week. Insane.
Straight beast on the drums. Always kills it. 🙌🏼
Love Underoath and I think Aaron is one of the goats of modern drumming. I wish I wrote this song on the drums!
Did anyone else imagine getting whacked randomly by drumsticks? LOL
MAN, that is a fuckin TUFF sounding song... so good.
Love his passion.
Most underrated drummer this world has seen.
Was at this show. It was nuts. Aaron can SLAM

Broooo! Can’t stop watching this !
I love that this video was posted by Vic Firth, but shows Aaron break a fresh stick like 90 seconds into using it..😂😂😂
man is one of the greatest to do it, point blank period
Not really, mediocre at best. There are literally thousands of better drummers out there.
@@The_Rob_D as far as this genre is concerned, at his age, top 25. Yes I'm biased, you are a party pooper

Unbelievable video of Aaron. I wish there were more.

I was out of breathe just watching lol

1:54 whoo holy shit!
Rocking a dale #3. He’s so good.
Woah where was this snare sound his whole career? Such a great pop to it!

Breaks a stick during performance
