I grew up in Evanston. The Uintas have been my playground most of my life.
      Thanks for watching!

@@cachemacstrailtime I grew up in Lyman/Mountain View. Moved here to the Dallas area a while back. I miss my trips up to State line and whiskey creek. Keep up the videos. I appreciate them

@Dungareeman I have family all through that area. I also have lived in several places across Texas. Went to school down there.
      Take care!

Very pretty around the lake, good the bear didn't attack you or your kids. When you heard those sheep you should have just counted them and you would have fallen off to sleep, lol. Nice hike Mike! Sorry about your toe.

We're sorry to hear about your twisted toe. Hiking on rocks can be rough. 😬 This was a really pretty trail. Nice, mellow, and quiet. The Uintas look so amazing. Beautiful lake! Fun bear story. 🐻🐾 Love the side lake as well. 😊 Those darn sheep will keep ya up. 😆🐑💤 We hate scrapping hikes, too. Nice thunderstorm at the end! 🌧🌩⚡️

Yeah, it's hard to deal with toes. Wrap them up and hope for the best. The Uintas are my special place.
      Thanks for watching.

I love this area! Ouch! Broken toes are no fun! I’ve broken three of mine. Hope you are on the mend soon! Looks full this year! Those poor Brookies over populated and are stunted. Perfect for the Tenkara! That area for sure is bear territory! There are always sheep up Hell Hole Lake. Me and Dustin did Hell Hole from the Gold Hill lot. Last time I went there, we had a massive herd cross the trail. The lake just below Bourbon has nice Brookies! Same with BR-50. Good times in the Uintas!

Yeah, you have to catch Hell Hole a but earlier in the season. Then you can have it all to yourself.

I feel for you with the broken toe. I've broken one toe, three times now. The last time I told the attending that I might as well just cut it off!! LOL Indeed, looks like it is a wonderful trail...a gem indeed!

I'm the same. I have broken them so many times. This time, it was sticking out to the side. I did a number on it.
      Thanks for watching.

Hi Mike! Sorry to hear about your toe! You’re putting in lots of miles anyway, that’s great it doesn’t hurt too bad. Bourbon Lake and the side lake are really pretty, nice and quiet too. Good ending to your best story… we’ve noticed lots of warnings about bears there, but haven’t seen any. Interesting to hear about the sheep and hellhole- too bad they didn’t work out. I think I’ll stay away from the chili Mac meal- lol. Hope you stayed dry in your tent/ hammock! 😆👍👍 Jen

This is a worthwhile hike. Maybe next time you come out, you will get a chance to hike it.
