I've used them on my scx10 several winters. They're by far the best I've found on ice, packed snow, or 0-5cm lose snow. Their damn ugly but works where other tires I've used barely has any grip. My scx10 is heavy with pot metal axle housing, pot metal 4link mounts, gmade steel/pot metal wheels, ssd titanium links and a lot of aluminum,.
The video footage is from second run. On the first run, I had just mounted and went out. But I always clean my tires after a run, so by the video footage it was cleaned before I hit the test ground.
Hey I have just got a set . did you vent your tires ? as I let a bit of air out but not vented and they look a lot flater than your. my capra weigh about 6.5lbs . Not tested but great test....
Yes, the tires are vented. The foams and tires will need to be broken in. But my rig is on the lighter side at 5.3lbs. My initial impression is that this tire will do better with a bit heavier rigs.
Once I have full break-in of both the tires and foams, I will do a final assessment. So far, it's pretty impressive. One thing, I think this tire does better with rigs that has a bit of heft to it though. We shall see.
It depends on if you plan to comp or not. Ruptures are not comp legal. Also for lighter rigs, say less than 6lbs, Hyrax works really well, but for heavier rigs, Ruptures works really well. You can’t go wrong with either one.
It would be interesting to test these on other terrains. A wood course would be another option. Those are primarily my two terrains which is why I mention it. Haha!
So far, the Scorpios hook up a little better than I thought they would. The factory Foams are pretty good, but I still want to try the Pro-line 2 stage Foams. In the green compound, they're soft.
Dual stage foams makes a huge difference. Definitely give it a try. I have been using Crawler Innovations dual stage comp cut with soft outer (front) and medium outer (rear), and I am quite happy with it. With Ruptures, CI did not have the right size for it, so I went with Pro-line dual stage. I don't think you will go wrong with either one, but CI offers a bit more tunability.
These tires have been a well kept secret flying under the radar for years now. They've been known to be really well performing tires, but I think many didn't run them because they didn't fit the scale looks of a rig. At least that's what happened to me, as I have a set of these that have been sitting since 2016. I've been saving them for a more appropriate rig like a tube based chassis moon buggy or something similar. There are a few people on crawler forums that were running these in 2.2 size on shafty and MOA rigs.
Thanks for the info. One thing that I am noticing so far is that it will work better on slightly heavier rigs say over 6 lbs. Mine is at 5.3lbs, and I can see it not flexing as much as my CI dual stage foams on same lines. I will give a bit more time for the tires and foams to break-in. That being said, it seemed to be breaking in sooner than Hyrax in predator compound.
Hi dubbleportion here this tire is all I and some friends run tthey really work better in a heavy crawler 6lb to 10lb in my opinion as specially since proline has changed the "Predator compound " they last longer but lost that stickiness in my opinion good testing
Yeah, I noticed that on the 1st run. My truck is 5.3lbs. And I can see that it can use a bit more weight to really take advantage, but it did really well on the 2nd run. I am planning to do a follow up once I have more time with it.
U’ll like them Rc fam I got them on my gspd v3x4 and tha new gspd 2.low trx4 front 4link build I just did ✊🏽🤓 stay Rc fam and their always time for tiny trucks ✊🏽✊🏽
I know you can't use them in SORCCA comp. They're on the list of banned tires. They may present an unfair advantage in some way.
Not comp legal, but for a cheater rig, so hoping it works out.

i guess it is kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to watch new tv shows online ?
@Jakob Braylen I would suggest flixzone. Just search on google for it =)

C est un cassis element ecto ?
It's Element Enduro Sendero; however, I am using Gspeed Chassis V3 chassis for the build.
Lately I've been running Pitbull Berserkers, but I just got a set of the JConcepts Scorpios. Been looking to try those Pro-line 2 stage Foams.
I heard good things about Scorpios. Let me know how they work out.
@@BigSungHobbies will do
Awesome.
Want to try these tires pretty bad. Interested to see if they are equal to or better than the newer megalithics.
So far I have been very happy with Ruptures, but I have not tried the newer megalithics. Let me know how it goes.
Are ruptures directional ?
They are non-directional.
Is this the same testing area from RC review?
Yes, it is. We are local to each other.
Would love to get a set of these in 1.9. Out of stock everywhere. I have the 2.2 versions on my 2012 Wraith and they're 👌 awesome!!!
Yeah, it's been quite challenging to get a set of these in 1.9s :(
Just keep requesting them. They'll eventually turn up Just wait for 'um
Did you clean them before you went out? Or just mount and go?

Very interesting. Just picked up a set of Landmines so the Ruptures are definitely on my radar.
I will report back once I have more run time with it, but Ruptures so far looks promising.
Those look like they perform really good!

Ruptures or hyrax? Which do you recommend

It’s a good tire Rc fam trust me I live on tha Rez bruh ✊🏽🤓
I am usually crawling on rocks, but will see if I can find something.

I have a set, they actually kill it on every terrain but they are on my friends truck
Hmm, you need to get a set for your own truck ;)
@@BigSungHobbies gonna get some trenchers next 😁
I heard good things on the trenchers :)
nice review and tires
Thanks!
Thanks I find this video useful .
Glad it was helpful! They are great tires. One thing, keep in mind that if you plan to comp, that it's not comp legal though.
@@BigSungHobbies ok noted with thanks.
Looks great 👍
Pretty impressive so far. It seemed like it is breaking in quicker than Hyrax.
O yeah cool vid 👍💯
Thanks!

Last! My buddy loves these!
I am hearing quite few folks swear by it.
Yes your supposed to put the ring in there

I hate foams. All about the 3brothers antifoams now
Seems to be the way now. Good choice in going with 3bros.
