Great video, I've about fully restored an old 743 too. The only thing I would have done is pulled the whole transmission. You went that far, you could have cracked both pumps and replaced the wafer plates or at least honed them smooth. But this is my last thing to do, in the summer I will pull the engine and pumps and replace all the wearable parts. I am afraid my leak back there is from the engine not the pump though. If you havent resealed the spool valves, I did that and it made my hydraulic controls silky smooth and super quiet. I had a lot of cavitation coming from somewhere when I bought the machine. Anyway, they are great machines and pretty simple when you understand what is going on in that mess of hoses 🙂
I have a leak behind the spline shaft adapter. Does anyone know if that spline adapter is pressed on or screwed on? Trying to remove it. Really tuff. Good video Alex.
I have a 743 that I recently replaced the spline and yoke at the power transfer couple. I now have a lot of vibration which increases when I throttle up. I had fun in the motor while disconnected from the pump and there is no excessive vibration whatsoever. what were the symptoms that made you look at the pump shaft as a problem? Where did you get your replacement parts?
Love your video excellent comments on it on how to put it back together but I do have a question where did you happen to get your shaft if you could answer that thank you very much

I have a 743 too but my hydraulic lift stopped liting has no power. Is it the pump and were is located? I'm in Denison texas.

What’s the input shaft seal part number?
Did you have to bleed the air out? And how?
Just running the machine gets the air out
