Hello, I have one Monitor (4k resolution) on my MTR and I use a png file with the resolution recommanded by Microsoft 3840x1080. Completed the xml file too. But the custom background is delayed in the screen... Any idea ? The resolution mentionned by Microsoft is for one or Two Screen ? (I read this resolution is correct for both....)
Hey great explanation! I have a question though, does the xml file that you place in the folder together with the customized image only affect the default background? I'm concerned it will mess up any of the other configurations of the teams device. Also if you want to remove the customized image, is it as simple as deleting the xml file?
This only changes the background on the front of room display. It won't mess up any other configurations. You don't remove the image (or the skypsettings.xml, a file which gets deleted upon reboot). Rather, go into the Themes section in the MTR settings and select a different theme other than the one called "Custom".
Microsoft greatly enhanced the options for backgrounds, so the old template is gone. To that point, this video is now outdated. Here is the link to the updated documentation and there is a Photoshop templated for the "Enhanced" backgrounds. - learn.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/rooms/custom-backgrounds?tabs=Enhanced
i have a question, how can i upload the image ant XML configuration file to the device with Microsoft Teams Rooms?, i can see you upoad to windows path, im trying to do the same but a Poly device with Microsoft Teams Rooms, the device doesnt use Windows Operative System
If you are using an Android device, like a Poly x30 or x50, you can't use the XML file. This is for Windows only. Currently, you cannot upload custom backgrounds on Teams Android devices. The developers are working on it and hopefully we will see this feature show up sometime this year.
@@flinchbot Where did you get this information? I am trying to get it setup for the Logitech Rally bar and Tap, but it seems impossible. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi, thanks for this. But my Skype folder is empty?
Any way to do this if the Teams room is on an android device?
Not yet. I know work is being done to be able to add custom backgrounds on Android but I don't expect to see it until well into 2023.
has the photoshop template disapeared? Cant find it anymore

hey do you know where the original themes are stored?
Not at all. I wouldn't be surprised if they are packaged directly into one of the executables.
I can't use Angle Brackets in the description. So here is the SkypeSettings.xml file.

You cannot change the colors. It is white and remains white, regardless of what values you enter into the skypesettings.xml
@@flinchbot thanks!
