My heart fell apart when asta said that he had been training his whole life but he still might not be strong enough (that might not be strong enough is both for defeating Lucius and becoming the wizard king).
I'm glad though that at the end of the chapter he found hope once again.

I love how tabata is constantly diving into astas emotions and less about his actual fighting capabilities for this arc so far. Asta really is an amazing mc

Thanks for mentioning that. Honestly my issue with black clover is that it just read like a meat sandwich. It had the most important parts, and was good. But lacked the lettuce, sauce that makes other series top tier.
I mean, it being a Shounen and all, I didn’t hold it against it. But that’s just pretty awesome they’re filing it out.
And honestly a super genius way to do a series these days, with how bored fans can get these days. To pull people in with the big fights, than once they’re hooked add in everything else.
i cant wait for this part of Asta's life to be animated into the anime, its still gonna be years for the anime to reach this point in the manga but i can wait for that long.

seeing Asta snap like that is what this series genuinely needed, it's officially made Asta a truly relatable character because it's one of the few moments we get to see his inner negative side surface and it makes sense, he's been training his entire life and remained optimistic but it's good to finally see him do this as it knocks him down a peg to feeling more human than op shonen protagonist
But still bro, asta could take a punch from Lucifero like it was nothing. Literally on the verge of death he was still able to take down the king of devil's. But a little 17 year old girl can knock him out in a few punches??! I know asta wasn't using full devil union but like, really my brotha? She's honestly annoying compared to Yami she's so bad. I think ki will help asta create anti magic techniques like anti creation/restraining/reinforcement magic, anti mana zone.
I like the description of Heavenly Severance cause Ryu’s right, Asta been doing this already, it’s how he originally created the Black Asta form, but now he’s actually learning to perfect it.
Tbf, this seemed like a relatively simple move for the Ryuzan 7, while its legendary for alot of the other normal people for them they may well have created all types of moves depending on their skillsets and preferences...generally this all actually makes me think on some things, first off the name of them is 7, similar to how Asta basically has 7 days left to train and learn, meaning each day he may very well learn how to do something new from one of the members, each who may have their own special technique not even the other can replicate, that Asta may well learn how to do if not even improve upon, such as the Ki slice which could be a whole different case entirely in the way of using his swords in tandem where a simple swing of his sword which could just be him pulling it out to get ready could also actually cut everything it was pointed at, or such....I also feel like Yami's sword may come into play both due to the history with it but also may be more emotional for everyone when they see it, even if it would be withered and decayed a bit.
yami's sword was likely forged in the clover kingdom. given that no flashbacks show him with it before he received a grimoire. then again the handle could be made from his boat or fishing rod. which use magicly enhanced wood. similar to the bamboo asta split.

This is a complete shot in the dark here, but what if the ryuzen 7 are all the members of Yami's family, and yami was kicked out of the country for not having mastered ki? He still understands the basics of it so he was taught to some point, and death thrust may have been a way of focusing ki into the blades thrust to give it extreme power?

He pulled off locating ki in mid battle with yami so of course he’ll pull strengthening the ki inside of him on the first try
Asta is gonna train with all the Ryuzen 7. His last test will be the final training with Ryu to show him everything he learned with the 7. Then, Ryu will train him with the ultimate Ki move.
I feel like people forget that asta basically already knew how to use this power. Ever since the volcano training session with mereo, Asta has been Sensing and watching other mages use mana skin but was never able to use it himself. But now that Asta has anti magic circulating through his entire body he now can channel that same technique with anti magic

Imagine if asta gains another devil union form based on a samurai or a rounin or something that’s based off of the land of the rising sun or like yuno he might get a scroll of some sort .this arc has a lot to offer and I can’t wait to keep reading this awesome manga
A thing people forget about Asta is, that he’s actually a prodigy when it comes to things he can actually do.
He picked up KI on his first attempt
He picked up black mode first try
He learned swordsmanship fast by his teacher in the filler arc
He learned the underwater city dudes fighting style by just seeing it
And now he’s learned ARMAMENT HAKI ( yea KI is now literally Haki ) just like that

So Asta is learning ki control, now he'll be able to increase all his stats
I don’t know if he’ll master Ki in a week, but using it as a base to support his anti magic should help Asta get away with his lack of experience. Asta is already the most dangerous opponent for Lucious, but his durability was the big issue in their first fight. With help from Yuno’s Star and Wind Magic to give him irrelevant speed, I think Asta’s Ki will give him the tanking and attack potency he needs to beat Lucious and save everybody.
I also think Lucious unintentionally foreshadowed this, how else could have cut down Asta with just his hand. There’s a chance that Lucious has mastered Ki which makes things more interesting!
Lucius can't predict where or when ASTA is thx to Anti magic.
However Lucius Is One Tough but to crack.
I think ASTA Needs Armor to nullify both magic and physical atks
@@rubenorsolino1964 I agree but I also believe that he will be able to use his Ki like defensive armor when needed. Yami has shown us the sensory side of Ki and his sister is showing an attack boost. In my opinion there’s no reason to believe that Asta can’t use Ki to take damage and keep moving forward.

The fish doesn't have multiple eyes, it's actually a real-life type of goldfish. Yes they look really weird! The bags/folds are called "wen". I used to have one in my aquarium.

If we go back to the witches' forest arc when Asta first gained Black Asta. The antimagic's wither effect was already there as when Asta goes into Black Asta for the first time the grass around his fist decays. Meaning that this isn't some powerup for the sake of a powerup and has been in Asta's arsenal for years.

This new ki power system is Devil Union all over again. I really hope the writers won't abuse ki and use it for plot armor. Imagine if there's a serious moment where a character might die then suddenly they're back at full health thanks to some new ki thing. Imagine if Lucius's soul changing gets undone because of ki. Then all of the damage he does gets undone. I really hope the story takes a huge shift in direction.
I personally don’t think so. At the moment Asta is using anti magic with his Ki to enhance it’s strength. I don’t think he’ll fully master Ki in a week, but I do believe his anti magic can dispel soul magic. Asta has already shown he can dispel concepts by warding off Megicula’s curse magic. So I believe that with Ki in more of a supportive role, Asta will use anti magic to undo anyone that has been changed by Soul Magic.
@@sungodrj3200 I think he could do it with yami's sword since it only cuts what he wants to be cut and doesn't harm the people he wants to protect. He could use that to sever the soul magic's effect from a person's soul without destroying it.

Basically this move is like a advance version of reinforcement magic. Ichika is gathering and focusing the mana to her arm by using ki and she using it to launch a strike at the enemy. Asta did the same thing but with anti magic you say Asta learning an advance version of reinforcement magic

I don't see it that surprising he was able to do it first try, he learnt how to sense ki from next to nothing nothing, then later used his ki to sense the anti magic in him that led him his first transformation by moving the flow of anti magic into a circuit, then thanks to the time skip he got way better control of his anti magic. All in all he only needed the demonstration to show him its possible.
Asta stamina, durability, speed, senses , etc finna heighten incredibly. Hopefully we can see Asta learn new hard too hand combat skills would love too see that without pulling out a sword omg

You know a way for black clover to have the other characters catch up with asta is to introduce the possibility of fusing mana, natural mana, and ki into each other creating what I like to call spiritual mana which would make everyone massively stronger and asta won’t be able to replicate this which is a good thing because everyone else is falling behind.
