Another amazing build Dave. I've said it before and I will say it again, thank you for making these videos and sharing your knowledge with us. I hope that with these and some practice, one day I to can tell a story like you on my layout.
I had heads turning, while my grandmother was driving past Calico. I looked at the exit sign, said I've been there, then described the place including my dad holding me. Everyone was like how do you remember that, apparently I was about 1 year old. I have no clue. Mysteries of the mind I guess.
I can’t even begin to tell you the joy your videos give me, Dave. They give me this youthful child-like nostalgia that makes me miss creating art like you’ve done here. Can’t wait for the next upload. Thank you so much for these!
Maybe as a later project; add a tiny orange LED light to the bottle the skeleton is holding as a contrast light for the ghost, especially when you flood the scene with moonlight.
Dear Julian, very cool video, love your explanation for the DIY Sculptamold. Definitely will check out the link you added. A few years ago I produced my own pulp and plaster mix. Had the same overheating problem with the blender I used. Even though I did the blending wet. This because I chose to use paper shreds. Didn’t think about egg cartons then, will try out those too. In my experience sifting the paper pulp will also help to improve the mixture with the gypsum. Finding a good blender is the important part of such a DIY project. To improve the dispersion of the pulp through the gypsum I would suggest to use a small paint stirrer, or ‘propeller,’ which fits to a battery drill. Of course in a covered container with a tiny hole for the axle of the stirrer to protrude through. By the way, while making my own mixture, I also set some pulp aside to use for an experiment to make my own ground cover and leaf material from the slightly coarser paper shreds. Did some experiments with it, which came out really good. Cheerio
It just looks like everyone needs a Laser Cutting Machine! However, I just don't have a cash flow for buying one. However, it is simple to see how much fun a guy can have with one!
Hey Dave, unfortunately you ca-ed the butterfly wing doors, I think it would be a good idea, to make one of the doors could swing back and forward, moved from the wind or from some spooky thingies. And I often think about, if magnorail-System could be used for moving tumble weeds over the plaines. And by the way, sorry that I wrote during the last live-stream about the longhorn skull over the door (forgot that it is a stable for horses, sorry for that), that looks really ugly? Her in Nuernberg Germany, roundabout 200 meter away from the Est-Entrance to the Toy Fair, there is an Ancient Cowboy and Indian Club and they have two of these longhorn skulls on top over the entrance to there ground, an I don't like that. It looks very scary. But when you put some of these skuls in the desert of Gruesome Gulch, I think it will become mor gruesome, especially when a rattle snake is living inside of that and it looks through the eye-holes. I like it very much to watch your videos. Because I'm from Germany and I have never bin in the US, I still don't know how to build a US-inspired layout, but your Videos give me an impression, how I could do it. After I played a the PC-Game Obduction from Cyan-Worlds, I want to build something with a mining facility in the desert, somewhere in the wild west. But I still have much to learn about the reality about mining in the US to make it realistic. I hope I can realize it but I want to avoid to make it look like an amusent park in Germany.
Howdy! Been following the build since last summer! I hadn't kept up since the holiday though. So it was a pleasant surprise to see I had a backlog to catch up on! Quick question, do you get your 1x dimensional lumber precut, or do you roll your own? Thank you! And thanks for keeping this spooky ol fan entertained and educated!
That’s cool :) thanks for sharing! Do you think it would help software the character silhouette if you put a stocking piece right inside the door too? It’s so dark I wonder if anyone would even notice it was there
@@johnbusby215 John, did you see the ghost going by the door? It looked of sufficient size that diming it would be better in my opinion. Obviously, you have your opinion.
@@markdeschane4467 Yes I did see it and I do wonder how much of the visible issue is a trick caused by the filming. It might not look as bright to the naked eye But as I said it can easily be dimmed a bit by a higher value of resistor. Personal thoughts aside its a pretty neat animation effect.
Just OUTSTANDING JOB. Love the skeleton drinking tequila on the porch. ☠️👻
In keeping with your western theme,...
"That's slicker than a snot covered door knob".
Great job man! Absolutely a knockout.
Well done Sir well done.
Spootacler 💀👻
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Now we're talking. Love Bodi, been going there since the 60's.

Looking good Dave can't wait to see how you are going to make the river of souls in the caverns
Me too!
Magnifique comme à chaque fois ... le petit garçon qui sommeille en moi (agé de 66 ans) est émerveillé à nouveau par la rigueur de votre travail

Dread Pirate Rum? Inconceivable!
Awesome build
Another remarkable build Dave. Poor Ol' Dead Eye Dan....
Hey Dave, truly awesome build! Everything looks great with so much detail. Awesome! 😀👍

Thank you, that means a lot
Love all your layouts, but the whimsical nature of this one makes it special. Thanks for all you do!
GrateJob.
Wonderful. I love Deadeye Dick’s spooky cylinder of death.
Great work!!!
I just love that rotating ghost!!

Beautiful job! This is an engineering marvel. Can’t wait to see the rest of the layout. Thanks for sharing!
Really very cool! A nod to Arazona Gostriders. Quite inspirational.
Cool prop…. Love the name
Great job, fantastic animation!!!!
You keep out doing yourself! I love the shape of the false front. Thanks again for the inspiration!
My favorite build series!!!!!!!!!!!

Great work, a fantastic haunted house
For the soft tipped clamps...I've actually found a decent set of them at Dollar Tree recently
Another terrific work of art!
Hi Dave nicely done.watch you all the time.could give me a little insight on what lazer cutter you have .I'm thinking about buying one.

Thank you. I have a 50w Flux Beambox Pro. Great machine.
Love the ghost idea!
Awesome as always!

Add some spider web to the front doors
Wow that looks good.
Can I have the winning lotto numbers so I can come and see in the coffin HA Ha ha.
regards John
Fantastic! BTW, the link for the Rail Pass page is bad -- 404
Thanks for letting me know! TH-cam never will.
Is there a site that has all the "O scale lumber" sizes? I feel I do more guessing on what size wood dowels to get for "2×4" etc..
Dave is there a small motor you could suggest that would run real slow and would be battery operated I have a project I'm working on
Dread Pirate Rum, after Wesley the Dread Pirate Roberts?
Good eye
The ghost is too bright!!!
Given the spook's small size it might need to be that bright to be noticed, if not a higher rated resistor will fix it
