Hi Guys, this is a simple but most practical kick we can use in real situation. Also, it is very easy to learn in short amount of time, no experience or flexibility needed. Enjoy this tutorial. Don't forget like, comment, share and subscribe!!! Thank you.
Todas las patadas nacen de la cadera, al igual que todos los puños. Da igual que sea un arte marcial o boxeo. Esa patada con empuje la he usado en la calle para mantener la distancia de uno o varios oponentes. Gracias por el video.Hapki.
Personal question out of theme: what do you mean when you say Hapki? Why do you use it, and when do you use it? Thanks a lot for your answer, jus trying to homogenize concepts 💪🏾
While the intention of the video is good and explained well, the execution of the kick from the practitioners is incorrect as well the way you are teaching the kick. The first mistake I see is that you are teaching the kick to be high (I can see the way you kick and move, that you did Olympic TKD, they all kick like that) Kicking that high is useless on self-defense, is slow, the person gets out of balance and you always have to consider that you are not in a Dobok when you are in the streets. Specially women are in heels, skirts, or tight pants. Second you are mixing Ap Chagi with Mirro Chagi (two complete different kicks) again you have to consider that if this is Women Self-Defense and the female don't know martial arts, kicking in the center of anyone's body is dangerous, you can even see in this video how slow the kick is, how some females when they kick you they get pushed back because of your weight and how the kick gets trapped in the shield, the same thing is going to happen when you kick someone, they can easily grab your legs. In addition, the toes can only bend to certain angle, the higher and deeper you kick the more expose you bring the toes with the chance of getting broken in the process. This is the difference between Olympic TKD (showoff kicks) and ITF TKD (useful kicks), the real self-defense aspect. I recommend to teach that same Ap Chagi with the ball of the foot, no higher than the groin area. you can attack the groin, the knees or the shin. It will be more effective because it will bring the attacker down and the person will maintain their balance even if the person is not flexible or wearing heels or tight pants.
Did you take the time to watch the entire video before sharing this comment? I don't understand how you come up with the comment above. In this video, we focused on the middle section front kick with the ball of the foot.
Awesome video Master Sung, thanks for teaching us ladies how to defend ourselves ^^
It is a great kick. It is powerful and doesn’t require rotation, and therefore is very difficult to see coming.

Very practical and extremely good kick for all ages to use in a self-defense. We use that kick in a similar way in Wing Chun
