Downloaded it yesterday, cant stop playing. Tight controls, awesome and addicting air-fights, interesting story + side missions, upgrades and builds for the ship.
Last game i played in the space shooter genre was Einhänder on PS1 (man i feel old😅). I loved it! Same with Gradius, RType StarFox. Can't wait to play Chorvs.
Those were the days… Einhänder, R-Type Delta, Omega Boost. Each classics in their own right. I knew nothing about Chorus before yesterday, and I’m excited by what I’m seeing here.
@@winterwolf2164 Completely agree those games are classics. I still have a run I did on Omega boost, from those bonus missions. The ones were you couldn't touch anything as you are going though these turbines, that game was so good. Also elemental gearbolt was another game I liked.
@@12soulreaver I still own each of those games-haven’t beaten Omega yet, but have it in my backlog. Back then, I believe I got to level 8. I think level 5 was the one with that spider type boss and that awesome music with the record scratching. Never tried Elemental Gearbolt, I’ll have to look it up.
Man I really want to get this. This game ticks every box for me, it's kind of my dream game. But I just started Kena Bridge with Spirits. My backlog is too damn big
What is the difficulty on a scale from 1-10? My dad enjoys space shooters but they do need to be on the easier side - thinking of this game as a Christmas game for him. Thank you for the video!
As long as you are leveling up shouldn't be too bad, for sure has it spikes but it does have an easy mode as well for those that wanna enjoy the story with a little less challenging combat!
I guess you need a fable for those elaborated ARCADE SHOOTERS without much STORYLINE. Because that is the point of criticism you often hear tto this game that iit becomes to boring after a while So the question mark in your clip title seems to be justified an alternative with a similar concept is tthe by a Croatian team developed STARPOINT GEMINI 3
There is one huge disappointment about Chorus. It is criminal that publisher Deep Silver had zero marketing efforts for this game. There are like a few videos from Devs, maybe a dozen or so reviews on YT. And it is hard to promote new IP. This is also a great example of mid tier game. It was like 40$ on release and had good amount of content (it took me 25h). The game was so non-existing in social media, or on gaming sites I learned about it 6 months after it was released. My rating very good game (has small flaws, but nothing major)
@@PlayStationCorner imo it might have been enough with low cost marketing - something that was done with Hellblade. Create a few trailers, create a few more dev diaries put it on social media, and increase the chance it will be picked up by other media to create a buzz around the game. Basically anything to increase the game chances to be noticed. Spending too much on marketing is not always a smart choice and unnecessary increases the budget. And if I remember correctly in last few years there were some games for which marketing was 30% or above of the full budget.

The quick U-turn is done with the drift feature. It's there.
I played and completed this today. Fantastic game with a great story and a wicked ending.

Einhander is one of my favorite games, it still looks so good, I always wanted a sequel.

Wow!! I had no idea Chorus looked this amazing, gotta play this
I want a Silver Surfer space combat game like chorus
Warhawk in space for those old enough 👍🏻
Man I really want to get this. This game ticks every box for me, it's kind of my dream game. But I just started Kena Bridge with Spirits. My backlog is too damn big
Same been trying to clear it and just got into space games just started mass effect trilogy and deliver us the moon maybe this 😂
Wow that looks nice! I had a lot of fun with Rogue Squadron.
Will buy this game! Even the story focus of the game sounds pretty cool.

Interesting game! And there's a physical copy too. I'll keep an eye out for a sale. Thanks for the review! Looking forward to more PS5 game reviews!
Hopefully in 2022 they really start to ramp things up!
@@PlayStationCorner Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring will be waiting for you lol
I think I have found the next space fighter game.
You sound suspiciously like the gentleman from SwitchCorner. Thank you for the review! I’m glad to see this one getting some coverage.
Must be my doppelgänger
Looks dope! The gameplay makes me think of a new age star fox 😎 (if it existed)
That looks great. Ordered, arrives tomorrow
Enjoy! I was impressed! More story than I expected and the battles were solid!
is gyro aiming possible?
Agreed! Very fun game. Just don’t drink too much beer as it could make ya dizzy
This is starfox on steroids!!😍😍 oh I can't wait to play this. This is so dreamy
Got it preordered and in the mail.
I'm enjoying it so far but I rage quit during the drift tutorial. I literally can't get through it.
Yeah that took me some practice as well and a whole lot of retry’s
@@PlayStationCorner Thank you for making me feel better about my failures.
Anybody know if the PS5 version has haptic feedback?
Same question
"Cant pull off A U turn" can literally hit drift, turn 180 and fire your boosters.... what?
Chorus is like a super model. Absolutely beautiful to look at, but a bit high-maintenance, and often difficult to live wth.
Amazing game got it on PS5 👌🏽
Hey Alex, love sci fi everything, thx for the video
Comparisons to Everspace ?
Speaking of Everspace... when is the sequel coming?
This isn't rogue like
Haww got the answer here, story driven but I agree, where is everspace 2
Hey, being lazy by not searching but is this PS5 only? No PS4?
Thanks! Looks great.

Amazing game
Wasn’t this Xbox exclusive?
Looks cool!

I completely agree, it deserved to have all sorts of marketing behind it
