This game is incredible. I did everything. All missions, all extras, etc. Got all the upgrades as far as I know. By the end I had 50K credits that I didn't need. The game is fantastic except there are moments (I coundted about three) where it's difficult to tell where you need to go next for a mission or in one. This is easily fixed by looking around but I did have to Google for one thing. Apart from that, there is a BIG increase in difficulty during two major bosses later in the game (players will know which ones I'm talking about, I won't spoil it). Beyond that, I really enjoyed myself a hell of a lot playing this. Worth the full price tag which wasn't all that expensive to begin with.
The plot really makes me think of Drakengard in Space. I'm trying to stave off buying this because I just bought some games during sales... but I don't think it's gonna work, because this game is looking solid.
I hope they announce HD editions/remakes for Drakengard soon, but yeah, wasn't expecting Chorus to be so impressive.
The “drift” mechanic is what gets me. Never felt that level of control in a flight game

@@TH-camCensors I never got Chorus, but I really enjoyed both Everspace games. The first one is more of a roguelike with story and the second is like an open world rpg but still in early access. Both have excellent controls and combat.
Another gem I highly recommend is House of the Dying Sun. It's a very short but intense game that you can usually get for a couple bucks on steam.

This game pulled me in from the get go. The uniqueness of a space shooter with horror elements seemed quite cool. Then of course the graphics stood out as well. Sharp resolution, nice colors and explosions makes this one stand out. It reminded me of the golden age of space shooters which was the Ps 1 to Ps2 era. When I was a kid I loved Colony Wars so much, I'd bet these devs loved those games as well. Glad to see it score so well. I went with my gut and pre-ordered it. I like to support smaller devs as well as physical media so I have no problem paying full price. So mine should be arriving in the next few hours. I'm definitely psyched!
It’s a really good weekend game. Like one of those, “okay, one more missions and then bed” type games into the late night.
Colony Wars was great! I remember playin' it non stop like Einhänder, Gradius, Rtype etc. Last one i played in this genre was Sine Mora on PS Vita. Can't wait to play Chorvs too! Cheers!

This game should be combined with a Mass Effect to create the ultimate space game.
Bought it.. Been great so far... In performance mode.. Im on XSS..quality mode is not so good..bit choppy.. Still an 8.5/10 for what it is..loved Colony Wars back in the day and this is scratching that itch nicely.
Quality mode runs only with 30 fps.
Oh man I have been wishing for someone to reboot Colony Wars for years. Actually I heard someone was working on a new game a couple of years ago but it seemed progress had stopped. Thankfully, some other games seem to have come to fill the void, including this one.

This game is awesome the only problem I have with this game is there is no new game plus. I hope the devs put new game plus in this game. It would make the game even better.

Trust me for £30 you space fans are in for a treat.....yea some parts could have been a wee bit tighter.
Dog fights are beautifully put together and there a story in there somewhere.
Don't drink and drive in this game thou, stick to the reefer.
All in all its the dogs bollox of a game.

How long is the campaign? I'm hoping for a short and focused game.
You can complete it in less than 10 hours. It really depends on whether you do the side content or not.
Starfield could have done space battles and planet exploration like this.
There is a Free Demo on steam. I tried it out for 15 - 20min. There was no doubt.
I bought it and am thoroughly enjoying it.
It’s a very cerebral game/ narrative.
I definitely recommend that you play with controller not M&K. Take your time at the beginning to get used to the flight controls.
I recommend flying around any structure and getting used to the drift controls. And re-orienting (Press R3 down). Liberally use your powers to reposition behind enemies and destroy them with no mercy.
Play some Psy-trance or Metal rock in the back ground and meditate in a futuristic battle.
Can a HOTAS be used or is it controller-only?

It is a really good game, great OST. I look forward to another part, I really enjoyed this being the first space shooter I played in years. You can even drift your ship, drifting in space feels so good and enjoyable when you master it.
just downloaded it yesterday on game pass. it seemed like a hidden underappreciated gem. Indeed, it was the first game that could pull me away from my Elden Ring plat journey since over a month. Main stream review websites are becoming less and less reliable. Probably deep silver refused to pay them for high scores. It is a real shame as this game is a true blas. Great controls, amazing environments and a good story hidden by some awkward/rushed writing. I did enjoy the voice acting and delivery though (even if somewhat less would have been better).

CHORUS is just that a SPACESHOOTER and nothing more. , played it through my self and did not liked it
No review copies is normally a red flag but this is def an exception
Try to pause in between sentences at least for a second, the narration is just WAY too fast & robotic.
