    Great informative video!!! 👍🏾 I recently received my new LG front loaders washer/dryer. The washer had a small dent on the side upon delivery. I was so bombed about that dent...this video made me feel much better!!

      If you call and tell the manufacturer the appliance arrived dented they will most likely give you a gift card for your troubles. I received (2) 300$ gift cards for my dent and scratches on both machines.
      The trick is to not take the first offer. After the initial offer, tell them that you’re still thinking of having the machine swapped out.
      This will cause them to then offer you a greater amount than the first, because they will acquire the cost of returns and shipping which are great for a heavy machine. Good luck and thanks for watching.

    Lowes fucked up mine with the dolly strap. I pushed most of it out by tilting it back and pushing it out after heating with a blow dryer and reaching up from the front.

    Did you have to do anything special for the longer dents. I've got a long shallow dent and wondering the best way to repair. Is there a proper way to pull? Like from the sides or do I start in the center?

    What did you use to polish and buff the scratches out

    • @DavesGarage365
      @DavesGarage365  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The mini buffer is made by Milwaukee Tools, and it is fantastic. I repair dents and dings in cars, and use this buffer all the time to remove scratches on vehicles.
      I use a two part compound and polish, made by 3M called Perfect It. (The Perfect It 3 line is the best if you can find it).
      The buffer pads are also made by 3M. They are Velcro and attach via hook & loop to the buffer pad holder, inserted into the buffer.

    I am wondering if you could use a small or compact leveler to test how level and smooth the surface is after you treat the dent with this technique? If not a leveler, is there a hardware device that allows you to determine how smooth the surface is before doing any necessary soft hammering?

      I’ve been fixing dents for 25 plus years so I can tell how thick/thin it is just from playing with it. Good rule is to hammer or pull lightly to test the waters. It’s like a hair cut. You can always cut more but you don’t wanna cut too much. It’s the same with metal. Thanks for watching!

      Luckily I was able to fix the dents, dings and scratches myself. It was a pain in the butt moving it into the house the first time!

    Hey Dave where are you located. I have a Samsung front load washer. My boyfriend was moving it and dropped it on its side. It’s has some dents and a scratch on side. Trying to locate someone to fix it.

      Hi Lynette, Unfortunately I don’t make house calls, but if you want to locate someone in your area that may be able to help look up PDR contractors.com. That website may help you find someone in your area. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Great vid! I just glue pulled out a small nickel size dent in my new LG Refrigerator and I think I have a small crease high spot that I'm attempting to tap down. I don't want to tap too hard and create dimples in my fridge. If I create one, will those pull out from the front? The dent is 90% better but in certain light you can still see the imperfections, looks like you got a smooth finish on yours! Any tap down tips for stainless steel?

    • @DavesGarage365
      @DavesGarage365  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Richard! Thanks for watching and good luck with your repairs. Fixing dents in refrigerators is tedious work. If you tap too hard, you will make small dimples that will be nearly impossible to fix. I’d say glue pull very softly, as not to over pull. When you knock down the crease, do it very softly as well and take your time. Good luck 👍

    I put a dent into my 3 day-old fridge door when my friend had the fridge door open and then I opened a nearby closet door with the door knob striking the edge of the refrigerator door, denting it. What are the odds? I want the dent removed but there comes a point where my laziness takes over and I will simply live with the dent. I like the video but I think the effort your video is requiring for the repair is on the wrong side of what I am willing to do. At least the next dent won't be so painful. And there will be another dent. There always is.

      Ouch!! The old dent in the refrigerator, lol. I can’t tell you how many people I know that that’s happened to, and I feel your pain. The easiest way to fix it, is to just put a refrigerator magnet over the dent 🤣. Thanks for watching and commenting ✌️

    Home Depot will replace your appliances,if they damage them during delivery!

    • @DavesGarage365
      @DavesGarage365  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had to call Samsung direct about the damages and they offered me a 300$ discount to keep the damaged washer and dry. So I decided to accept the offer and repair the damage myself. It all worked out well in the end. I got to save some money and challenge myself for a non-traditional repair. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

    Don’t ever buy an appliance from Home Depot. We bought a dishwasher from Home Depot,when we got it it wouldn’t work! We bought it in September it Home Depot until after Christmas to repair it! We had to threaten their repair company with a law suit to get it fixed!!!

      Dang. That’s a bit of a pain. Hopefully they got you fixed up. Thanks for your comment JamMaster!
