- Jewel Pearson designed her picturesque, tiny home on graph paper. Now, it’s her sanctuary. Originally, the home was designed to maybe travel about, but once she arrived on her friend’s farm, she decided she was home. Love it I have extra space behind my house & I want to build a tiny house on my property so I can let my children & grands have the house & I can live in the tiny house. Everyone is together with personal space 😉

That tiny home is absolutely beautifully. Where are some of the best places/locations/states that are safe for tiny homes or did you buy land and then build on it. I would LOVE to do this even if for a vacation get away. Thank you for sharing. I am going to watch more of your videos to learn more.

I hate that in 2023, people are still stupid and racist. We are hoping to one day have land and rent space for tiny homes. All people will be welcome. And you are gorgeous!

I just met you in the breakout chats in the Exodus Summit today. I was the lady who mentioned RV-ing in Alaska. I forgot to mention Angels_Excursions. She's a black woman vanlifer who lives in Alaska and has traveled around the state with her van. And, she just bought land to start her own tiny house journey. She'd be a great contact.

One thing I want to avoid about tiny homes is, as mentioned, the opening and closing of furniture to get to an item, moving furniture around, burning calories just to pull out a pair of jeans.

Agree, the costs have increased for sure as we saw prices increase with the supply chain issues. It is “usually” cheaper to build your own, however most don’t have those skills.
@@MsBohemianSoulTV if you want a tiny home in a decent location it cost more than a regular average house. I can build a tiny home in my head but definitely not physically. That skill has not been taught to me or tested for me to know.
@@RadicalforGod affordability remains an issue, as i agreed. generally tiny homes built on wheels aren’t priced by location or location specific, foundation builds are. also tiny homes on wheel still remain “cheaper” that traditional homes after you factor in the costs of the 15/30 year mortgage -so it’s not apples to apples really in price comparisons. for example i paid ~$85k for my home in 2015 and people said the same, however that was a one time payment in 2015 not financing $85k for 15/30 years.
as i said, most don’t have those skills so i agree. however, some have taken it upon themselves to learn and there are a lot of resources and classes available for someone who chooses to learn and do so, such as Wild Abundance: www.wildabundance.net/

Im worried about tornadoes and hurricanes.
i have my home “tied down” using the mobile home system and it is heavy so it withstands “decent” wind strengths and doesn’t move, as that would be a deal breaker for me… if a really strong storm is anticipated i know to have an evacuation plan just as suggested for mobile homes, etc.
