then you'll go back to hospital again for swimming in a filthy river

Your welcome is not at all a welcome. Since you did not care to clean the river bed from plastics. There were more plastics than your flowers.

Не грустно,а противно смотреть на горы мусора!!!
They are welcoming river with garbage.......
Instead of watching only if they woukd have cleaned the garbage, then it would be a warm and respected welcome
It's incredible... rivers like the Ganges are incredibly holy in India yet they are the most polluted bodies of water in the world... terrifying that they sustain over a billion people!
They have to learn the importance of hygiene, cleanliness, health.
Their musty all the time so the they Welcome filth
They should have the whole community clean up the river bed the government should be involved with proper resources
Starts with free education. Its the only thing to prevent ignorance.
Sorry to say I have an Indian workmates and they are so fuckin messy and dirty.
Cleaning is a BIG SIN for them, why I said that?

Public education on keeping rivers and irrigation canals clean is very important. Placing public notices along the river and canals will be helpful.

60-70% people hardly know how to read or write, how can you expect them to understand what's written on the notice boards?
the unknown, no wonder you claim yourself as the unknown. You must be 60-70% mindless. Where in the world you gather such uneducated statistic although you reserve all resources at your fingertips to comment truthfully. I copied and paste this info. Tamil Nadu; the state's literacy rate is 80.33% in 2011, which is above the national average. A survey conducted by the Industry body Assocham ranks Tamil Nadu top among Indian states with about 100% Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) in primary and upper primary education. 1000's turned out to see the river flow, not one person picked up any of that trash now flowing in their precious water. Oh well I'm sure theres an Ocean nearby.
i really like how the first thing being drained through is just trash.
Ugh! When the water finally came to the people waiting,, all those small, tied up tight, white-ish plastic bags, I hate to think about what’s inside them. Something tells me it’s not groceries.
I also hate to say this: but wtf, to Imagine what that smells like .
Poop, thats what I'm thinking
The lifeblood of a region and instead of cleaning the canal, they are throwing more garbage into it.

I am sincerely happy for the community, but I am also disappointed that care was not taken to remove the debris. Why is there such an aversion to pride and reasonable cleanliness?
Sorry but this is one of the cleanest rivers I've seen overseas. Vietnamese can't even fish in the city river because the lure won't fall in the water too many bottles in the way.
They could’ve cleaned up before welcoming the river... I mean that’s the least they could do

If for every person picked up one piece of trash it would all be gone

How do you honour a river by not cleaning it and adding more junk?
At least pick up all that trash before the water...India is a beautiful country with amazing ppl but unfortunately not many cares about keeping trash out of the streets
Exactly....well it is natural in our life style that we don't care about keeping our city clean, (which is bad) moreover it is our authority who is not giving much attention to clean city or making arrangements to people keep place tidy. No other way so people throw garbages around the road, bus station, river, sea etc.
@@trrrt2411 interesting but why is that? Do the ppl also do it when they travel abroad?
...that is interesting question....as per my experience they follow the rules when they were/are in other country. That is what amaze me why don't they adopt this culture in their own home country. Unanswerable question by the way :)
Not amazing if they can’t pickup and control trash
@Fish Sandwich I've been there several times...Chennai, Bangalore and several more...I know about the trash and everything...I'm always traveling there mostly for business and yeah not much hygiene...there is places that are beautiful and i totally agree with you...the government needs to step in and do something about the contamination...
There only happy as water will clean their rubbish away - human brilliance at its best.
No one is thinking about cleaning the canal, even at the worship place there is a lot of garbage👍. Jai Ho
I am not an environmentalist, but at least I would have picked up the thrash laying around. Indian lack of hygiene is astounding.
Should have cleaned the ground because there was plastic and other garbage . If they are doing puja then they should first clean the area to get purity . After this thing the river will be so polluted and this would be of no use .
Shame on all of you
How can some of them be pandits if they can’t clean the area to get purity .
Facts Factory yap, I'm hindu myself but I realise that most of us stuck in the ritual without really implementing the esence or the meaning of the ritual in practical way. It's sad.
Easy to say...
shital khan easier to do
gus sur I am also Hindu but I know the main reason behind this ie British rule as they gave us the wrong knowledge and brought many things such as plastic in India and they had not put dustbins on streets and people started throwing into the rivers as the industries also threw waste in the river and were taught that rivers flow into the ocean so they thought that the waste will ultimately end in ocean and country will be clean . Such a bad knowledge they gave . Shame on British to change the mind of indian people .shame...shame....shame shame....
worst people in the whole world .
Facts Factory easy also to blame others when you are the disgusting culprit
Happy for ya guys! How about picking up all that garbage?
