That paintwork is very nice and with proper mudguards too. I think it is more of a "classic" than the classic. Every time I hear that engine I also hear a little voice saying "go on, go on you know you want one".
I had my heart set on a Classic 350 Signals in Marsh Grey and was all prepared to buy one until I saw the Black Gold Bullet. Now I'm going to be buying one of those at the end of this month - they are stunning looking bikes.
Had a Bronze / Chrome Classic 350 and mistakenly sold it. Miss it and will consider another classic or bullet. I agree that the black & gold bullet is simply marvelous!
Ever since I bought my Classic 350 red/chrome, I have watched many TH-cam videos, about modifications such as de-cat exhausts, Kent performance cams, X-lite electronic fuel injection optimizers, DNA hi-flow air filters and so on. Meanwhile, I have ridden my little Classic for 4,000 trouble-free miles, exactly as it came out of the factory and I love it. No doubt, TH-cam will soon be full of videos doing all of the above, to this little bike too. Your reaction to the bike shows that Royal Enfield have got it right again and with better looks, in my opinion.
Try the DNA air filter! 15 minutes work , but a different world!! At least on the hunter . Now 1600 km I installed this US part and love the bike even more! Smoother running and deeper sound . 3. rd pulls up to a 100 km/h easy and the overdrive 5 th now is a real gear !! A must have on the 350 engine.
Very informative, and very comical. I just love your ramblings. And, if I needed someone to run my new bike in you would be the man, you're very calm and careful with new bikes that need a bit of early life love. Talking of love, whilst your baby is still inside his mum, and is awaiting his time to be born. You already love them even though you have not seen them yet. I ordered my new Bullet yesterday, and am in love with it already, even though I haven't met it yet. Marvelous, and simply Splendiferous. Many bikes have come and gone over the years. 60 years 40 bikes, all kinds of bikes , big heavy bulky stuff, mega powerful bikes, and some very expensive bikes. And now it is time to chill out, enjoy the ride, and smell the countryside.
Thanks TAYM, you know I think sometimes it's not about 0 to 60 times, weight, power, how thick the forks are. It's about how a bike makes you feel, smiles per mile. I thought you portrayed that wonderfully. As you know I've got a classic 350, as you say , not much difference between them but ( and whisper this quietly) I think I prefer the bullet. I'm with you. Oh No, here we go again! Ride safe mate👍
Yes👍don't tell "Ernie" but if the Bullet had been available last April - I'd have gone for that instead. I didn't know it was possible to improve on the comfort of the seat on the Classic. But the Bullet does - even for pillion. I'd have the black/gold one though as it has the durability of finish that I wanted on Ernie.
Wonderful video! I was cleaning out some old stuff in the house and found my grandparents left over WWII ration stamps. If you only had 5 gallons of gasoline a week to use, this is the motorcycle you would want to fill up and ride.
Hi TAYM, Understand your emotional connection with the RE bullet. I decided to buy the Classic, before I drove out of the dealer’s court yard. I was hooked that quick. Something very mystical about the bond with an RE.😊😊😊
This definitely is my favourite of the lot, it just looks perfect. Great review, cheeky subtle humour much appreciated too ;-) This is the only channel I have come across that goes 'oh there's a horse there, marvellous' LOL
Perfectly put TAYM. It is indeed "An international affair whatever bike you buy" 👍. When I had the T100 a bloke was so keen to point out it wasn't "British", I nearly gave him a Suffolk Punch. The J-series 350 is indeed therapy. For me, and many others the ideal way to push away the black dog for a while 😊. It is the epitome of the Distinguished Gentleman 👍
Touring seat, the headlight cap from the classic, the sump guard, heel-toe shifter, taller handlebar some luggage and many many free time to ride... I just had an awaken dream 😁😁
Morning Taym. What a beauty! Love the batch on the tank. Yeah, riding the little enfields is meditation. I am taking berzan for a spin in Holland now. Enjoying the Zen feeling. Nice weekend family riders and enjoy the sun
As an owner of the Classic 350 I can only see 2 things that are different, the single bench seat and on the Bullet no grab handles. A little detail but the grab handle makes putting the bike on the centre stand a breeze, also use rock straps and they mount onto the mudguards and the grab handles. As a bike like you said totally different to the Triumph 400 high revving and water cooled compared to the simple air cooled long stroke low revving engine of the Classic or Bullet. Quite simply the Royal Enfield has a magic Zen like quality when you ride them 😊
An update on my Classic 350 “Omega” she now has a dark brown touring Bullet seat ! Having run the bike for 2 years with the Classic touring seats, I can tell you categorically the Bullet seat is quite simply the most comfortable seat I have ever had. Amazingly the Bullet seat is a straight swap for the Classic seats, this also means the Classic grab handles are still usable. So my Halcyon Green Classic is now a Classic/Bullet 😂 Even better I have also fitted a set of alloy wheels that are now simple to keep clean and fitted with tubeless tyres and right angle valves , for ease of pressure checks and inflation. 😊
Great looking and very smooth to ride bikes. I tested a Classic 350. Really liked it a lot. But for me, if I will buy one, I will buy this Bullet 350 in Standard Black....
I used to ride a 1991 royal Enfield 350 superstar chrome mudguards and a black and chrome tank, right hand gear change 1 up three down and a neutral gear selector, I’m sure it’s still running today, I wish they still made a totally analogue machine without any computer chips and fuel injection. I spent most of my working life in computers from 1970 onwards and it’s the electronics that make machines obsolete and irreparable. Outwardly this bullet looks exactly the same as the superstar nice bike.
Morning Mr TAYM. Yes, it is just marvellous. As you know, I love my Classic 350, and despite the one or two niggles like the speedo I am still waiting to have replaced after 9 months 🙄, the original battery being hopeless (I replaced with a Yuasa), my main issue is the wheel spokes not being stainless. As much as I tried to protect them from the rigours of riding throughout the year, the rear ones in particular, are horrible now after 2 years. Such a shame, as they now detract from her beauty 😢. Apart from that, the little 350 engine will pull up any incline with ease, and sounds bloody fantastic, especially under load (de-cat pipe fitted). A worthy replacement for Bertie 😊
I think your hooked and as someone commented the Bullet looks More classic than the classic especially to me as I remember the big mudguards on some of my bike’s and the lines with that seat are preferable to me - the bike looks more substantial and if I still live in Wales I would be all in on that bike- but living here in Florida I’ll settle for the Interceptor that was just delivered to me Tuesday But next time over the pond I may very well rent one when I visit my Sister I the Dales Thanks for the ride along Always a pleasure Regards from Florida
Thanks Mr.Taym for yet another first ride review , was eagerly waiting for your take and opinion on the new Bullet 350, knew you would love this odd looking bike ,wanted to hear about it in your words ,Thanks and Cheers 🍻.
Looks a lovely bike, for me if it had the Classic single seat then it would look amazing. It has something the Triumph 400’s are sadly lacking and that is charm.
It was the classic 350 that got me back into biking after over 30 years and although I love my Vstrom 650 I do miss the relaxed cmvibe the 350 gave me. I looked at the bullets but I have always preferred the seat arrangement on the classic. Still sounds wonderful.
Gorgeous lil bike! I wish 350cc’s were enough for me. Bertie remains King of the Classic Hill. 👑 I've watched this a second time, on my larger laptop and I can feel a bit more appreciation for the niche this bike occupies. It is one gorgeous motorcycle, lighter weight than a twin... I'm getting it more.
Everyone that owns a classic or bullet seem to love them regardless of power output I must find a dealer near me to see what they are like . Thanks TAYM
Glorious sunshine something we haven't seen for a while. But summer is on its way. Very nice bike but a lot of chrome to keep clean. Lovely bike though, and Black is perfect colour. Great video and commentry on the bike. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Excellent thoughts! I was looking at the Bullet at Motorville this week, alongside the Classic and I had a similar opinion. The dual seat, metal tank badge and lack of a peak above the headlight all appealed to me. It would be my choice of the 350s now.
Hey Taym have to say this is a little beauty and Royal Enfield really do nock it out of the park for the classic looks and paintwork and they really are something special one day I will have one I think or lets say I would like one as an option to bimble out on from time to time never ridden one though 👌👍Superb !
I love my classic 350 to bits, but I think if they'd launched both bikes the same time, there'd be a bullet in my shed now..Only thing I'd change, would be to put a headlamp bezel with a visor on it. I actually put the plain one on the 350, but it looked wrong, so replaced the original. You got it dead right about eyes open, It is what it is, a lovely lovely bike. I know price is an issue, but spoked wheels that would take tubeless tyres would be a fabulous addition? Super, as ever common sense honest review, thankyou.
Morning Taym 😊, great review. I can definitely see a new love affair ❤️ starting just like Paddington! Surprised you haven't named it yet!! Definitely think you'll get one as your new commuter. You'd probably be better with the blacked out model, with the hand painted gold stripes 😊,and if you can't bear too get rid of Bertie, take him to bit's and store wherever you can, then when you retire you can post a series of videos showing the rebuild of Bertie with a 535 barrel etc etc. Have a nice weekend 😄
Good little video lovely looking bike really old style that I’m coming round to like you just don’t need speed and power today to much traffic on the road and plenty of idiots as well be a lovely bike for a putter round back lanes of Essex and Suffolk on a Sunday ride safe
Good review of the Bullet .It's a very smart bike , the dual seat and the lack of a headlight peak make it look more like the 1950s Bullet which is a good thing IMHO . The Classic is just a little bit too flashy for me . I saw an Indian review of one in a maroon colour and it looked just right , can you get the maroon colour in the UK ? It will be a winner , I am sure of that , RE know their market . Ah, to be able to chug along the English country lanes again on a single cylinder thumper ! Avoiding the crocodiles in the potholes of course .
Ha, the bike with a name more classic than "Classic"!. I love the square side boxes, instead of the oval ones on the classic, but the seat is a retrograde step. If it had a solo seat, ..... but no, I'll be faithful. I'll stay with my Olive. Gosh, I feel like a newly married man whose head has been nearly turned by that stunning new barmaid down the Dog and Duck!
Nice wee Bullet. I think the engine cradle instead of stress member construction will mean less vibrations through the handlebars. And putting the rear brake lever over the pipe, instead of under, will mean less scrapes on right-hand turns. So, two problems on my Bullet 500 fixed, and still staying true to historical models. Even OHC is fine, just keep up regular service intervals.
Morning TAYM, it's a lovely looking bike alright, but I'd change the seat for a lower profile one, like on my Classic 350, that standard one on the bullet looks a bit like a big black wine gum 😆 , just my opinion. I'm really eager to see the arrival of the Classic 650 as well! I enjoy your visits to Haywards it's like a trip back in time to a proper dealers, would love to live near it , Anyway, you've triggered me to go out on my Classic after watching this , especially as it isn't chucking it down at the moment,,catch you later, Cheers Mel 🍻
Wonderful video as usual Mr T. When it comes to bikes, with the choice available these days, then it’s very much horses for courses. They are an individualist purchase from the heart and not necessarily from the head…how do they make you feel is the question…..and what other people think is entirely irrelevant. Ever increasing insurance and fuel costs together with tighter controls on environmental incentives, speed limits, cameras and just the general state of the roads (particularly here in Blighty) mean that high performance and premium bikes are becoming less and less of an attraction. The mid range and lower capacity bikes are imo entering their time to shine. Incidentally the red Astra you were following early on, yet another door slammer who has forgot what indicators are for….luckily your mind reading skills are up to scratch. Ride safe, stay well.
Lovely looking motorcycle wish it looked the same both sides...please please RE make a light 350 or 500 twin just like Triumph did in the early days... oh and make the crank 360°😊. Thanks TAYM.
@@daintree2455 140kgish hahahaha 🤣 these days be about 165kg minimum more like 170kg like Triumph Speed 400 which is 170kg.RE will bring out a 450 Hunter water-cooled.
@@daintree2455 The French Company Mash do a 650 modern classic with ABS that's only about 181kg wet I think 🤔.Mash uses a Honda XT 650 clone motor made in China but authorized by Honda. Probably be the closest you'll get to light weight modern classic but don't think 🤔 we getting them down under.
They have one in my local dealer, the Black Gold version, looks the best, although if they did the Classic in the same colour I think that would be better :)
Morning TAYM a very nice bullet which is growing on me 😮if I had to choose one of the 350cc machines this would possibly be the one I’d go for but the downside is the 20bhp just not enough for the riding I do so I’ll keep both my Guzzi’s 😉 carry on that man Caio for now tat ta 👍🏻
Pop the Royal Enfield touring seat on one and you have the most comfortable bike I've ever experienced in 45 years of riding. For under five grand. Splendiferous. 😊
I keep looking at the 350 Classic in my local dealers (especially the signals one) and thinking about a bike to just take out when I don't want to drag a big bike out but I just can't get past that 20hp thing. Funnily enough I was out yesterday in the car and came across 2 Himalayans following a car who was travelling quite slow and when we came to a straight the car indicated to let them know they could pass but they didn't have the power to go and I would have had to overtake all three in one go so I ended up having to drive frustrated behind all three of them for the next few miles. In the back lanes I think they are fine but on faster A and B roads I don't think I could live with that limitation which is a shame because the looks really do appeal.
I believed a Triumph 400 was a nailed on certainty but, this Bullet seems to have got your heart for your next purchase. Out of interest why would you exchange Bertie for a 350? I haven’t ridden either, so have no bias either way.
Its a pity you have BIG yellow number plates. Takes away from the good looks at the back. Tossed up between the Bullet and the Classic. Ordered a Classic, hopefully be here soon.
To me, the Triumph 400’s are more appealing to those on the way up the motorcycle scale, while the 350 Enfields are of more interest to those on the way back down. Nothing wrong with either position, just different angles on the same hobby.
Centre stands - so they can get another hundred or more quid from you. Mine cost me £200 for the Guzzi but they are so useful compared to the side stand. And bring back big mudguards they do a great job.
That paintwork is very nice and with proper mudguards too. I think it is more of a "classic" than the classic. Every time I hear that engine I also hear a little voice saying "go on, go on you know you want one".
😂😂😂 thanks B 😁 at least give one a go just to see 😁

Morning TAYM, it's a lovely looking bike alright, but I'd change the seat for a lower profile one, like on my Classic 350, that standard one on the bullet looks a bit like a big black wine gum 😆 , just my opinion.
I'm really eager to see the arrival of the Classic 650 as well!
I enjoy your visits to Haywards it's like a trip back in time to a proper dealers, would love to live near it ,
Anyway, you've triggered me to go out on my Classic after watching this , especially as it isn't chucking it down at the moment,,catch you later,
Cheers Mel 🍻
Brilliant 😂😂 thanks Mel 😁
I love my Signals Classic 350, but the Bullet does look good too 👍
Thanks T 😁
Thanks PR 😁 excellent comment 😁
Lovely looking motorcycle wish it looked the same both sides...please please RE make a light 350 or 500 twin just like Triumph did in the early days... oh and make the crank 360°😊. Thanks TAYM.
A 500 twin like RE of old did like the Meteor Minor but modern be a great idea 💡.
@@ruahinesrider a 75% Interceptor about 140ish kg like early Daytona 500...perfect.
@@daintree2455 140kgish hahahaha 🤣 these days be about 165kg minimum more like 170kg like Triumph Speed 400 which is 170kg.RE will bring out a 450 Hunter water-cooled.
@@ruahinesrider sad mate really bikes should be lighter today...ducati monster 161kg and that's got a crackin motor.
I really like the look of the Bullet far nicer than the classic ...i hate the split seats but love the proper dual seat ....i need a road test ...
Thanks Willy 😁 yes, definitely give it a go 😁
A fantastic looking bike i must say 👌💯👍
Thanks Frank 😁
Marvellous - great title, exactly how it makes me feel every time, the tank is beautiful ! - how does the different seat feel compared to paddington ?
Thanks Tom 😁 I would say that it is maybe more comfortable 😁
Spot on about the therapy part …and yes very different from the baby triumph aesthetically at least
@@tomstockell9481 thanks Tom 😁
They have one in my local dealer, the Black Gold version, looks the best, although if they did the Classic in the same colour I think that would be better :)
Thanks S 😁 yes, I would like to see the Classic in black 😁
Morning TAYM a very nice bullet which is growing on me 😮if I had to choose one of the 350cc machines this would possibly be the one I’d go for but the downside is the 20bhp just not enough for the riding I do so I’ll keep both my Guzzi’s 😉 carry on that man Caio for now tat ta 👍🏻
Thanks HN 😁
I really hoped they were going to make it a 500.....pity they didn't
I agree 🤔 thanks SJ 😁
I feel 350 is more than enough
Nice looking bike that one taym 👍🏍️
Thanks Derek 😁
good morning , must get to Haywards soon
Definitely 😁 see you there 😁 thanks K 😁
Got mine in Maroon. Was waiting to be transferred from another dealer. Just finished 300 mile check at Haywards.
Wonderful 😁 they are just a lovely bike 😁 thanks S😁
Nice sound bike 😍👍
Thanks S😁
Best seat in the industry & definitely has the Royal Zenfield as Fuzzy Biker says
Wahoo.
Thanks RR 😁
Just wow… I would need to move the foot pegs back a bit in order to get my knees down, but I don’t think that would be a big deal.
Thanks X 😁
Go Ahead drive your Bullet all over the year and a lot of fun!😊
Till the next 50 000 miles
Thanks V 😁
Pop the Royal Enfield touring seat on one and you have the most comfortable bike I've ever experienced in 45 years of riding. For under five grand. Splendiferous. 😊
Excellent to know 😁 I can well believe it 😁 thanks Trev 😁
Yes, that’s the rub with the small Royal Enfields but I suspect they may have been over cautious maybe 🤔 thanks Grumpy 😁
What a beaut.
Thanks J 😁
I very much like the maroon version , Best I stay away from the dealers for a while just in case....🤣😂
😂😂😂😂😂thanks A 😁
I believed a Triumph 400 was a nailed on certainty but, this Bullet seems to have got your heart for your next purchase. Out of interest why would you exchange Bertie for a 350? I haven’t ridden either, so have no bias either way.
😂😂😂 I knew that would cause some reaction 😁 What I meant was it could do the same job, not that I would 😁 😂😂 thanks Martin 😁
Just teasing us! Lol😂
@@martinowl 😕😂😂😂
Do you hit your shines on the pegs when you put your feet down
No, but I have learnt a lot the hard way from my classic 500 😂😂😂 legs akimbo 😂😂😂 thanks Jim😁
To me the Classic looks like an old British bike and the Bullet like an old Indian bike. I much prefer the looks of the Classic!
Good point 😁 thanks TP 😁
Well said and quite true!
Its a pity you have BIG yellow number plates. Takes away from the good looks at the back. Tossed up between the Bullet and the Classic. Ordered a Classic, hopefully be here soon.
Yes, always a problem to know what to do with the number plate 😕 both excellent bikes 😁
I know it's apples and oranges, but if you had space for another in the garage, would it be this or the 400 triumph scrambler?
Tough questions 🤔 as I already have Bertie, it would be the Triumph 😁 thanks Loki 😁
To me, the Triumph 400’s are more appealing to those on the way up the motorcycle scale, while the 350 Enfields are of more interest to those on the way back down. Nothing wrong with either position, just different angles on the same hobby.
Yes, I think that’s about it 😁 thanks AD 😁
„I have no enemies“ ahh motorcycle
😂😂😂 thanks SR😁
Which one has the most comfortable seat classic vs bullet?
I would say bullet 😁 marginally 😁 thanks Bob 😁
Nice looking we bike. I probably prefer the classic though🤔
Thanks IT 😁
The seat on the Bullet felt most comfortable of all of the 350 models.
Totally agree 😁 Thanks Mr M 😁
Well, I think you like it.😊
Absolutely love it😁 if I only had the cash 😁 thanks AD 😁
Centre stands - so they can get another hundred or more quid from you. Mine cost me £200 for the Guzzi but they are so useful compared to the side stand. And bring back big mudguards they do a great job.
Absolutely 😁 thanks AD 😁
Don’t like RE but that is a beautiful looker
Thanks Volt 😁
my money is still on the white rd250 ;;;
😂😂😂😂 thanks SG 😁
Cover your mickey mouse ears Bertie. Heresey!!!!!
😂😂😂😂 yes, that wasn’t what I meant 😂😂😂 thanks MP 😁
Very tiny
Not a large bike 😁 thanks DW😁
