Replace the extended base plate on the 12rnd magazine with the flat FNS9 and it will print far less.
As much as the pistols costs you should get both. If I’m a manufacturer all my guns come with a hard, lockable case for travel or storage, the gun in a nice bag like that and 3 magazines with a speed loader. Also all are optics ready and ambi

If you have to switch hands during a gunfight you're other hand is probably shot and wont be much use reloading. The problem with truely ambi mag releases is it can push into the palm of the main hand making it difficult to drop the mag.
I'm liking it so far only got to do 50 rounds because of the shortage but it got a little snap but even with the 12 rd mag I have good control over it. I'm still learning how to shoot pistols tho.

FN 509c mrd's can't handle federal hst +p ammo so be careful what ammo you use. Bought mine last month, 2 weeks later took it to the firing range for the first time and the handle cracked. Sent it to FN and they said "sorry for your luck, must have been your ammo, warranty denied." Wont sell me a replacement frame etc, its either buy a new gun or nothing. Retired LE after 35 years. Was using duty ammo that my glock 17 had no problem with. Totally discusted with their customer service. Really really wanted to like this gun and maybe I just got a fluke but after this treatment I will never buy another FN.
@@chltmdwp Don't know. To be upfront there are too many moving parts that could cause something like this to happen including faulty ammo. The thing that frosted my cookies was the way FN handled it as far as customer satisfaction. I would have been grateful for a frame at cost or even a little above cost and they would have earned a lifetime customer. But to tell a customer that had just bought the damn thing the only thing they could do for me was to sell me a whole new gun told me a lot about the company. I heard these sometimes discharge on their own & that's why police in AZ stopped carrying them. I've never had my Glock19 or any of my other guns do that.
No, you didn't hear that. Or, if you did, you heard wrong. There was one gun that one police department in Arizona tested (not even this model, it was an early version of the FNS 9, not the 509) that would sometimes fire a round if it was put slightly out of battery and then returned to battery AFTER you pulled the trigger. Anything made by FN is far superior to anything made by Glock. There's nothing wrong with Glocks but they aren't in the same league as FN.
Does it pass the water submersion test ? Another respected TH-camr placed a FN509 in a 5 gal water pail, waited for the bubbles to stop, removed from the water and pulled the trigger. Failed to fire 10 times after dunking. A Glock G19/G17 fired 10 for 10 dunkings, 100% success. Law enforcement, marine patrol can encounter water during pursuits. Buyers beware ⚠️ Do your research.
Great looking gun. I actually held one today in lgs. Only thing I didn’t like was the suppressor height sight were black, no night sight, no white dot on the front sight. It would’ve been nice to at least have a dot on front sight

Thanks. I once had to remind my boss. Don't ever say that. It lets everyone know that you always lie to some degree unless you are declaring the exception. On the gun, FN is awesome. Not so much on this one. If the sights got any higher, I would hook up a wire for better reception. Will catch on everything. The grip purchase, so so. Needs better gripping on the 2 and 5 oclock.
