Thank you for posting your raw thoughts and feelings - this vlog has really helped me know that I'm not the only one struggling right now. I've restarted c25k again after an ankle injury during week 5 previously and I just can't get back into it - I just haven't had a good run in the last 2 weeks. But we keep going as it's the only way to get to where we want to be!
Of course! I am glad that other people can relate to me as well ☺️. Yes, I absolutely agree! You just have to keep pushing through but also go at your own pace at the same time. Thank you for your support, we got this! 💪🏼❤️
Awesome job! But you might want to consider going slow. Just try going at a snails pace sometime and see how it feels. Going slow is actually great for building aerobic capacity!
Thank you! I did originally start slow and was told maybe running faster would limit some pain in my shins and quads but I think it’s actually worse 😂 I will just go at a comfortable pace from now on as best as I can, thank you again for the support and advice! 😊
It’s perfectly normal to feel the way you do in the 6th week. This is the point where the accumulative fatigue starts peaking. It takes about 6 weeks to gain the fitness benefits from the beginning weeks. The quads burning could be from being quad dominant. You may not be engaging your glutes enough. I found thinking about leading with my glutes seems to help switch them on more. You may also need to do some glute exercises to get them stronger to handle the load of running. You’ve got this!!
Hopefully I’ll start to see the fitness benefits soon 😅. I will keep that in mind when I run next and see how I go! Thank you for your support and suggestions ☺️
You did awesome! I just started week 6 and did the 20 min run today. I did it but I literally run so slow a toddler learning to walk could pass me. My quads always hurt so watched some videos on form…so many rules…making sure you land flat foot (no heel), extending back leg before the other foot hits the ground, making sure your body isn’t curving forward over your knee etc etc. I am going to do next run on treadmill to try to get my speed up even a tad. If I can walk faster than my run then there is no point to run so I need to make it stronger. Also, music isn’t to my liking but podcasts certainly distract me because it takes focus where music doesn’t. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one going through this. Wish you were closer because I’d run with you so we can suffer together. However, I’m in the US so a tad far for a run 😂
Thank you ☺️ ahah you’re doing great! I probably should watch some videos on form..I’m always trying to be mindful of my posture but when I get so tired, the girls on my chest got me like 🫠. I’m glad! It’s also nice to know people feel the same and yeah just a little far for a run 😂

We're all struggling together ❤ but we're also smashing out PBs together!! Look at you gooooo, insane how quickly time if going.
Exactly! ❤️💪🏼. Time will go by regardless so we have to try make it count where we can! ☺️
Very relatable. I have the same mental struggle. I struggled today during my 20 minutes of rowing. I fought for every row.
That’s awesome work 💪🏼. It’s crazy how much you can push yourself with a change of mindset!
maybe a tip just try to run very easy for the first two months. ( is not necessaire to build speed before conditioning )
Thanks for the suggestion! 😊
