I need to repair my base molding at the corner because a certain German Shepherd puppy decided it was a chew toy lol, thanks for your videos my friend 👍😁
My puppy has eaten my chair rail, my window sills and scratched up my wooden blinds in my dining room!!!! She’s lucky I’m easy going and I can fix them myself…..😳 thanks buddy and have a good night!
Hi Clarence, thank you for taking the time to watch and especially for the kind words my friend! Have a Merry Christmas and god bless you and your family!
@paulstoolbox you know we Schneiders have nothing but love for you Mr. Paul! So happy to see you doing what you love. It makes my day every time I see you put out a new video!
lol, I look for reasons to get new tools. I really like these nailers because you don’t have to run behind your work and fill holes. If you have a compressor, the pneumatic ones are cheaper and also work well. I am getting spoiled with cordless tools though. Thanks Bob!
Always great to see you post new videos Paul! Every time I see or use my Metabo impact driver you sent me I think of you.m, they really make excellent products.
Hey old friend, how have you been buddy? I’ve been out of commission for a while with another bout of Cancer but making a comeback. I still love your channel, you remind me of one of my closest friends, y’all can fix anything!😎😎
@paulstoolbox thanks. I love your videos. So informative . so glad you are doing better. My kitty is very sick so praying she makes it. you have a Merry Christmas too.
I was told that the Milwaukee has no issues, but it cost more than twice as much as the Metabo. I just got my new Metabo pen nailer in and it shoots 1 3/8” nails perfectly. I even Rapid fired them and had no problems at all. I will be doing a follow up video with another Trim project soon. So far I’ve been very happy with my Metabo 36 and 18v Tools! Thanks my friend!
I understand your point. This is just an option, I have other videos showing how to do returns on your quarter round as well. I plan on showing one with different types of reveals for trim very soon. I really appreciate your input. It does make sense. Have a great day and thanks.!
I just bought a Rigid 18v 18 gauge nailer so I don’t have to lug my compressor around.Keep the vids coming I appreciate learning from experienced finishers.
I really haven’t used it yet.I tried it out on some scrap to make sure it works.Don’t use it with a 2.0Ah battery though. Not enough power.Nevertheless I kept it so I’m happy but have to use a 4.0Ah or better.Bought a 6.0Ah dedicated for my tool.Thanks.
While I do like the idea of saving time and being more efficient, I do take issue with a pair of statements you made early in the video. You claim making half as many cuts save the blade and makes it last longer. While in theory it sounds good, the number of cuts is changing but the amount of material being cut isn’t at all. For example let’s say every cut of base is 3” of cut and every quarter round is 1”, add them together and it makes 4. That doesn’t change if it’s stacked together or done separate. Also the idea of hitting a nail that small not doing anything to the sharpness of the blade. It absolutely does make an impact regardless of how little the impact is. Is the same as putting 1 nail into material vs 100. 100 nails are more effective while 1 could be done for the job. Same as hitting a nail with a saw blade. Hit 1 and you won’t likely notice anything, but every 1 no matter how small add up and will eventually make a difference that is noticeable. It’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN you notice the effects of repeatedly hitting nails. Maybe you don’t care but don’t just lie about it.
I almost listened to you until you accused me of lying to my viewers! I am man enough to admit when I make a mistake and I misspoke about the blade making half the cuts. However. I will be happy to debate the next sentence that ruffled your feathers. When cutting trim for a home, you will never notice your blade getting dull from pin nails unless you are careless and cut them on just about every miter. I’ve been trimming homes and building cabinets to over 30 years. I wouldn’t cut thicker nails and I stated that. One would have to constantly make mistakes and cut thousands of pin nails before they would notice. I’m easy to talk to and I listen to reason, but I ask that you do it in a civil manner.
Thank You as always! God Bless!! 🙏🇺🇲🙏
Thanks my friend, it’s good to hear from you! Have a Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family as well!

@@anncoats4466 I'm so sorry to hear that, I will be praying for you!
23 ga Matabo pin nailer is my go to in my wood shop. I’m guessing you will have issues with any brand trying to shoot the longer pins through them

Sweet
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate you! Have a great weekend!
Looks good but I prefer to put a reveal on the ends of the quarter round. That would make pre nailing the quarter round much tougher.
I understand your point. This is just an option, I have other videos showing how to do returns on your quarter round as well. I plan on showing one with different types of reveals for trim very soon. I really appreciate your input. It does make sense. Have a great day and thanks.!
